Did realling good with my eating yesterday.

Breakfast - 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 strip turkey bacon, 1 slice of candian bacon, low fat motz cheese stick, 8oz skim milk.

Lunch - spinach leafs with 1 boiled egg, 4 celery sticks w/ peanut butter, grape tomatoes, snap peas and 2 4oz ground turkey patties.

Dinner - 1 cup mixed veggies and a 6 oz chicken breast with fat free bbq sauce.

Snacks - none

Beverages - 3 liters of water

Today might noy be that great of a day on the eating. We are throwing a party to watch the afc and nfc chamion ship games. We are serving some good stuff health wise and some bad stuff. I am actually using this party to ge rid of all the junk food in the house. Wish me luck on the eating department. I should be ok. Hopefully!!

At weigh in theis morning I am still at 23 pounds lost.

Hey Scott, still doing awesome I see! Well doen on the 20 pound mark... if I had lost that much I would be almost at my goal weight !

One thing I have noticed is that you seem to eat an awful lot of eggs! I love eggs and they are great food, but they also clog your arteries, so maybe you would want to consider eating a max of 2 eggs a day. I do a medical degree and I think you should just think about it. Otherwise you seem to be doing quite amazingly!
Love, Camy

eggs

Hi Camy!
Thanks for your advice. Would it help if I ate the whites and not the yolks?
What i do is hard boil a bunch of eggs on Sunday nights and then have them to grab every morning. I typiclly do not have time for breakfast so I grab and then eat them in the car. I could live without the yolks if it would help my situation.

Yesterdays eating was not all that bad.

Breakfast - glass of veggie juice

Lunch - 2 - 2oz ground turkey on 1 slice of party rye bread (the small pieces), and a bowl of high protien chili, the chili was made of ground turkey, kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, tomatoes and a variety of spices so it was not that bad for the eating.

Dinner - bowl of chili, celery sticks with fat free french onion dip.

Beverages - 2.5 liters of water

snacks - about 10 potato chips, sugar free jello cups

The football party was good. I really did a good job controlling my urges. It really wasnt that hard. I was able to try pretty much everything but I only had a taste and I was done. Except for the chili which fit good into my high protien eating. Did not really eat my veggies today except for the celery but it was a party so back on track today.

Weigh in still shows down 23 pounds. Today will be a great day!!

Hey Scotty-boy!
Yes I think if you just eat the egg without the yolk that would help getting your cholesterol to normal levels! You don't wanna be skinny and sick, right!

By the way I love your attitude, you are so positive about it, always expecting a great day and I just totally think that is what is going to make you "win" this tug-of-war with the pounds!
Big hugs, Camy

Yesterday was a good day!

Breakfast - 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 slices of candian bacon, 80z glass of skim milk

Lunch - Cobb salad with mixed greens, grilled chix breast, avacado, onions, tomatoes with 2 tblsp of a champagne vinagrette dressing. Drank water with lunch

Dinner - Left over chili, 8oz skim milk

Snacks - Celery with a fat free sour cream dip

Beverages - 2 - 1 liter of sams choice flavored water.

Still doing well on the life style change in my eating. I really need to start exercising more. I have to make myself get up after putting the kids to bed to walk on the tread mill for a minimum of 30 minutes. That is the area I am struggling with the most right now.

After weigh in his morning I am still at the 23# loss mark.

Today will be a great day!!

As I posted this morning, I needed to get my treadmill time in. I was pumped to get on there after my girls went to bed.
I walked while I was watching the biggest loser. Funny thin it actually made me feel like I was going through it with them. Pretty cool. Now if I can get NBC to how it every night I would be good. JK

I walked for 30 minutes which I had been doing before, earlier in the month but I got it up to 3.6 speed for most of the walk. I actually notched it up to 4.3 for about 2 minutes and ran. It felt great. My goal is to run the entire time but I need to work up to that. Ok well it is time for bed.
I want to get to that 25# mark damnit, I have been at 23 pounds long enough..lol

Yesterday was a great day.

Breakfast - 2 slices of candian bacon, 1 stick of celery with 2 tbls of peanut butter, water to drink

Lunch - salad with 1 tbls ranch dressing, cucumbers, egg, tomatoes. 4 oz grilled chix breast and 4 oz of roasted porkloin and .5 cup of fresh green beans

Dinner - 4 oz of baked white fish with a dijon mustard/ fat free mayo sauce and 1.5 cups of broc and cauliflower mixture.

Snacks - 1 low fat part skim motz string cheese, 2 sugar free jello cups

Treadmill for 30 minutes as stated in my post from last night. I felt great after the treadmill. I need to remember that feeling so I duplicate the exercise every night.

As an aside, I counted my calories from yesterday on fitday.com and I was shocked that I only ate 1100 calories. I think I need to be around the 1500-1800 calorie mark a day. I definitly do not want to get my body in starvation mode. The weird thing is that I do not get hungry even only eating the 1100 calories. Is there an explaination for this? If any one could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated.

After weigh in today I dropped 4 tenths. I am now down 23.4 pounds....

I am going to keep up with my treadmill and eat good today trying to bump up my calories to at least 1500.

Today will be a great day!

Walked the treadmill for 38 minutes tonight on 3.1 speed. I thought I was done at 32 minutes but kept going until 38 minutes.

Want to get to the 40 minute mark and do that for a good week before moving up. I think if I move up 2 minutes at a time and sit there until comfortable I think that is a good pace.

Today was a great day!

Yesterday was a great day!
Breakfast - 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 slices candian bacon

Lunch - Cobb salad with Chix breast, bacon, balsamic vinagrette dressing. Also had 2 3 oz lean ground beef patties

Dinner - 7 zo grilled chicken breast ad a cup of peas, 8 oz glass of milk.

Snack - low fat motz cheese stick, 3 sugar free jello ups.

Beverages - 3.25 liters of water.

I am still not seeing things on the scale. I had 1755 calories yesterday which is better than the day before when I only had 1100. I want to stay around the 1500 - 1800 per day. On a couple of sites with calculators around what your calorie intake should be for your weight I got 2 different numbers. With my current weight of 332#'s one said I should be eating 4400 calories and the other said 3600 calories, with the light activity I am doing which is my treadmill walking. I guess I will go with the lower number which my goal of calories currently would be basically cutting that number by 50%..In theory then I should be losing 3.5 pounds a week. I know this is only my third full week but with not seeing the scale move I am not getting bumbed out but I am getting scared that maybe I am doing something wrong like putting my body in starvation mode which is the last thig I want to happen.

My cravings for soda and candy are pretty much non existent. I have not had any type of Soda since Jan 3, not had any fast food since Jan 3, and not had any type of candy since Jan 4..lol So atleast I know the food going into my body is not crap.

Today will be a great day!!

Well, I do not count calories unless I am afraid I am too low (or too high), I just think if I have eaten "nothing wrong" and I feel satisfied but not terribly full and uncomfortable, then I should be fine.
Today I had 2 (or 3?) people tell me I eat too little.Which may be, I didn't even look at it so much, I was just eating what I needed (in fact never felt hungry one bit!). I think of the starvation mode with a grain of salt... I mean sure if you eat nothing your body will slow down (but then I think wait! What about anorexics? My ballet class is full of people who never eat and dance all day and their metabolism seems fine and they are not fat and yucky and lie around like slugs, which tells me, they are either not in starvation mode, or starvation mode is just not as straight forward as people make us believe).
But I see what you eat, and I see a normal menu. I think maybe you are counting wrong, because when I eat nothing but fruit I get to about 1100 cals, so I think it would be difficult to be at 1100 when you ate eggs and bacon and stuff...
Just for you to think about. If it works for you, I would go by my tummy. If it is full and happy then it is not starving!
Greets, Camy

Hi Camy and thanks for the info.
I use fitday.com to track and I go directly from the nutritional values of the food I eat. I think I only hit that one day where I was a little over 1100 calories and then the next day I was back up to 1700 so I saw I needed more and I adjusted.

As for yesterday, it was a good day.
Breakfast - 2 hard boiled eggs and 2 slices of candian bacon, water.

Lunch - chopped lettuce with about 2 tsp of diced ham, sunflower seads and low fat rasp vinaigrette dressing. Roasted pork loin, no fat about 6 oz, water

Dinner - ground turkey 97% lean 9oz, cup of green beans with fat free itlaina dressing on them.

Snacks - low fat motz part skim cheese stick, 3 sugar free jello cups

Beverages - 2.5 liters of water

No treadmill yesterday but my butt will be back on it tonight. Also tomorrow I am playing paintball so I cannot wait.

I weighed in this morning and I was down 2 pounds so after 5 days of being at 23#'s lost I finally went down. That gets me to the 25# mark since Jan 3, 2008 and my current weight is 330!

Saturday was very fun and active. I played about 5 hours of paintball and had a blast!. It was outside and luckily it got up to 35 degrees so the temp was perfect.
Eating was sort of weird for Saturday but here goes:

Breakfast - 3 boiled eggs, low fat motz part skim cheese stick and 3 slices of 97% fat free ham.

Lunch - cereal bar, low fat motz part skim cheese stick, 1 dorrito (lol stole one from a friend)

Dinner - 2 ham roll ups with 97% fat free ham, dill pickle, fat free american cheese, zero fat mayo. half cup of peas, celery stick with 2 tbls of peanut butter.

Snack - none

Beverages - 2.5 liters of water

All in all it was a decent eating day but sort of a throw it all together and eat it on the run.

As metioned before I weighed in and I was down another 3 pounds to 28 pounds lost. Current weight is 327.

Sunday

Sunday was my youngest daughters 2nd b-day so there were going to be alot of challenges with the food that will be available in my grasps.

Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs and 3 strips of lean turkey bacon.

Lunch - nothing

Dinner - 2 bagle bites with cheese and pepporoni, cup of grapes, 5 slices of orange, 2 stalks of celery with low fat french onion dip, half of a cup cake with no icing and 3 small bites of ice cream.

Snacks - none

Beverages - 2 liters of water

I was actually proud of my self. I kept my picking at the buffet table to a minimum at the party. It was a great party and Izzy got lots of cool clothes and toys!

At weigh in on Sunday and Monday morning I was still down the 28 pounds!!

Hopefully i will drop tomorrow. I know this is strange but it seems I lose more weight around the thursday, friday, saturday weight and maintain the rest of the days of the week. No Explaination but I guess thats how my body works. I am not complaining at least the scale has not gone the other way yet!!

Today has been a great day!
