Rep Power: 51 | | The anger, and depression that got me going in the first place a year and a half ago are back. Which is a bad thing that I'm going to turn into a good thing. Flip it around, so to speak, like I did before, and use it as motivation to get what I want. I just wish it was spring... |

Boy, do I hear ya on the winter thing! It will feel so good when it's over! YEESH, by St. Stephen's Day/Boxing Day, I am ready for all of the snow to be looooooong gone, dangnabit!
I also hear ya on the plateau. Way to maintain, though! Wowsers, you have lost so very much, and obviously you are able to maintain the loss! But you're right, if you want to lose a little more, time to kick up the exercise! The rickety ol' treadmill in my basement is the best 5$ DH ever spent, as far as I am concerned! It's in front of the rickety ol' TV, and boy-o-boy do I sweat to CSI !!!
Best wishes as you continue your journey. Winter will soon (ok, ok - eventually) make way to Spring!
cheers

Rep Power: 51 | | I have come to the realization that I'm a tad depressed. I know it's probably not like a clinical depression, but I don't know what other word to use. I'm hoping it's just the weather, you know, cabin fever and all. Last time I felt like this it was summer and fall, and I got out for long walks every day. It felt so good and helped me feel better.
I don't know what to do about it, except start exercising to get those endorphins going. But I can't seem to get myself to do it. By the time I get home from work it's the last thing I want to do. |

Give yourself 15 minutes to do something -it's not overwhelming, doesn't take a lot of pre-planning, and gives you a sense of satisfaction when it's done... |

Rep Power: 51 | | I'm trying...In the morning, I'm all set, I plan to exercise as soon as I get home from work. Next thing you know, it's bedtime and I've missed another day.
I didn't get any in today, but for once, I spent most of the afternoon on my feet instead of on my butt, cleaning the house. |

Rep Power: 51 | | Thanks Tammy, I never noticed that I messed it up.
I don't think I cleaned as hard as you; I was just organizing a little and going through the kids' clothes. But at least I was off the chair. |

Rep Power: 23 | | Hey Dari. I know I probably haven't ever talked to you on here before but, I'm making an effort to get into more people's diaries around here, and I definitely wanted to stop in and finally say hello. You've been on here for awhile, and I have read thru ur diaries many times before. Your doing a great job. Your story and success is a great motivator.
Sorry to hear about the depression. I totally think I suffer from the whole SAD (Seasonal Affect Disorder) thing too. The weather here in UT has been gray, yucky, and cold, and I definitely think it helps contribute to me getting down. I usually try to get to the tanning bed once and awhile and it seems to help but, I haven't been doing that lately. I've been okay for a few days now but, I had a pretty bad couple of days last week and felt really down. I have been sick and finally got back to exercising today, and it made me feel pretty good. I just went thru my core routine and walked on the treadmill for about half an hour but it did the trick. I'm usually a runner but my lungs still aren't quite up to it from being sick last week.
Hang in there and take care,
-Sam |

Do it in the morning...
or pack your gym clothes in your bag before leaving for work -doesnt matter that you work out at home - get changed at work and when youre home - work out - you're all dressed - no excuses.
there's always a reason why you can't do something... Find reasons to do it.. and reward yourself every xx days of doing it... |

I'm going to make one goal for tomorrow. Just one, and make sure I stick to it. I have been drinking WAY too much diet pop, and it's affecting my snacking. Tomorrow I am going to cut it down to 2 cans only, and drink my 8 cups of water. I will do this, and it'll feel great. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
