there's always a reason why you can't do something... Find reasons to do it.. and reward yourself every xx days of doing it... | I definitely can't do it in the morning, I already have trouble getting up before 5 to shower for work. It's tough. What I need to quit putting off is getting it in between 11:30 and when I eat lunch. I have the time then, and the kids usually stay at daycare, so I have the freedom.
Ok, I will do it tomorrow. No more excuses. 11:40 will find me in my workout clothes, Turbo Jamming in my living room. I will come here and post my success. |

Rep Power: 51 | | I think so. I heard someone say (don't know how scientific it is) that the artificial sweetener in it fools your body into thinking it's getting sugar (which I think I am addicted to), but when it realizes it didn't get it, you crave it more.
Before, when I wasn't drinking any pop, I could limit the chocolate and cookies to once a day as a small dessert or whatever. But now I crave it all day.
Plus, the more pop I drink, the less water I drink. And that's horrible, because it did me so much good. So right now, as I get ready for work, I'm already dying for a diet pepsi. But I'm going to be good. |

Rep Power: 51 | | No Turbo Jam, I went for a walk instead! It was great to be out in the fresh air again. The wind was bitter, but it was still nice. |

Rep Power: 26 | | Interesting about the diet pop. I think I heard that the artificial sweetener still causes a sugar high. The craving for sugar is never satisfied.
I've heard its bad for your brain too. Its just one of those things that's out there that we should avoid. |

Rep Power: 12 | | Its funny how the brain works. I used to drink a ton of plain ol' tap water and loved it. Then I started to drink diet pop and couldn't get enough. When I cut back, I suddenly couldn't stand drinking tap water. It was ridiculous. Suddenly, it wasn't good enough anymore. Then I started drinking carbonated water, which I absolutely abhorred. Then after a few times of drinking it, it replaced my pop addiction. I thought it was the sweetness of pop I loved instead it was the dancing fizzies! Go figure.
I can understand the burning cold of the north. I'm from Alberta. You kinda get used to it though. I moved to Vancouver a year ago and now I'm a sucky baby. When I visit home I absolutely feel like I'm going to DIE.
Did I mention it Dari: You are my hero. You're an incredible inspiration (I hope you don't get sick of hearing it!) |

Rep Power: 51 | | Aw, thanks, I've never been anybody's hero before.
TOPS meeting tonight; I was up 2.25 lbs. I think most of that is due to the fact that I had a large lunch and snack, as this morning I was only up about a half a lb at the most. So I'm not as bummed as you might think. Going to lose it this week though! |

Rep Power: 10 | | Not that I'm doing anywhere as great as you... but you know how much I hate to exercise as well. So after I drop Jackson off at school, I come home and pull the treadmill right out. I don't let myself sit down, or else I won't get back up. I know you know the feeling. You're done work at a pretty decent hour and are lucky enough that you can leave them there and have time for you, so you can still get something in before it's even time for a late lunch. Then, if I sit on my ass for the rest of the afternoon, I don't feel guilty about it because I already forced myself to work up a sweat.
Now if only I could contain my snacking. I wish food tasted disgusting. |

Rep Power: 26 | | I try to limit myself to one can of diet soda per day, that way I still get what I want, but then still have to drink water the rest of the day. |

Rep Power: 51 | | Doing that today...so far it's only 9:30 am and I'm already craving one. If I can last one hour, then it's church and I can't drink ANYTHING there until after 12, so I'll be safe. Lol! |
