This is the day I tap into that anger again, find my motivation to make my life better. Despite Christmas, and not tracking my intake, I've been holding onto my weight for the last 4 or 5 months. Not strictly a plateau, because I haven't actually been trying to lose. But at least I haven't gained.
I'm going to work out right now. 20 minutes, even if it kills me. (it won't, don't worry)
DQ, I wish you all the best with your new start, sometimes thats what it takes to get ya back on your feet,I must say CONGRATS on holding your weight and not gaining, thats a tough 1 for me.GL and have a nice day,Tammy
My goal is to get back into exercise mode. I love how I feel when I get it done. I'm pretty out of shape at the moment, I get short of breath again too easily.
My goal weight is between 120 and 125. I'm pretty short, so we'll see how I look and feel when I reach that. Preferably, this will happen by my birthday...a year later than my original plan though. LOL!
Ok question do you remeber when your weight started slacking off? You had a pretty big starting weight and was constantly on a loss every week?I am getting at I am finally seeing 170'sand if I keep eating right and working my booty off do you think I can hit ATLEAST 160's before I see a plateau?
I know just what you mean about getting back into the swing of exercise. I am now in that "mode". And as long as I just do it (even though some of me still says "awe, can't it wait?"), I find that I feel great afterwards!
I'm short too. 145 isn't a "recommended" weight by the charts. But a couple of years ago, I was actually at 144. I still thought I was "fat", but actually I wasn't. Just some flabby parts is all. I could handle 145 again -- and this time stick there or go lower.

I have no idea. I think I was in the 160's a lot longer than the 70's and 80's, so maybe. It all depends on the person, I think.

When I first started, my initial goal was 150. I thought that would be skinny, I had no concept of actual weight or weight loss. lol! Take it one pound at a time, how you look and feel is more important than the numbers.
I will NOT be exercising today. I am exhausted. I have to be at work by 5:30 this morning, and I need to leave half an hour earlier than usual to shovel the crap the snow/windstorm left behind last night.
Let me rephrase that...shovelling will be the ONLY exercise I get today. lol
Um, yah, I don't think I'll be beginning my walking regime today. -29 C, feels like -41. For all you southern type folk, that's -20 F, feeling like -42. Insane, I tell ya.
Ah no wonder I haven't seen your diary updating lol. A lot of times when I surf diaries I just go to my subscribed ones so I never saw you posting. From what I've read the plateaus really do depend on the person. In checking out the before and after pics, there was a very interesting post from a woman who claimed to have a nearly 2 year plateau. She did break through it though
