Im 21 years old ive been married for almost 3 years we have a beautiful daughter Gabriela Rose she is 2 years old!! im 100% Portuguese i was born in portugal moved to the US when i was 2 i lived here for 10 years then when i was 12 my dad got into an accident at work got cash for it and he decided to move back to portugal so i was 12 when i went back!! i lived there for about 7 years then in 2004 for the first time back in the us i came with my dad for a month of vacation i had a blast i had just turned 18!!!and at that age i was 120 or 116 around there that was the best shape ive ever been in!!anyway vacation was over i went back home then my cousin said she was gonna get married and i was a bridesmaid so i went back in november 2004 and i starting dating her fiances brother we were together for about a month and i got preggers then four months after we got married, yes it was all so fast and rushed but it felt so right and were still together going strong So i got pregnant and married at 18 after i had my beautiful baby i weighed 127 and at that time i was like omg im fat lol...my weight was fine but i looked fat because of the baby weight anyway after i had her i went through depression for a couple of months and thats what made me gain weight plus i was a stay at home mom so im at home and i can eat when i want but depression hit and i just kept on eating, and i love junk food so that added to it. Now im in my high 40's which is dissapointing how i wish i could turn back time and stop myself from making my body unhealty and now here i am working my butt off trying to lose this weight and getting back to 120!! or less about 115 -110 ill see when i get there!!!
Okay now for these questions???
-- How much weight do you want to lose? about 30 pounds -- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight? ummm about 5 months -- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)? eating right and exercing -- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal? other people that are going through the same thing i am.....message boards....my family -- How realistic is your goal? pretty realistic? -- When will you start? i started january 6th 2008 |

Rep Power: 8 | | Okay today in the morning before eating and all i weighed myself and when i first stepped on it said 145.5!!! so i got offf and i went on again and it said 146 i go atleast 3 more times just to see what weight is right and it was 146 and last time i measured in the morning was about 2 - 3 days agao and i was 147/148 So hopefully that is my current weight!!! i dont want to check it for a while cause next time i go on i want to see bigger results and have it go down to like 142 or something but im hoping to atleast get into my 30's!!!!!!
i can do this!!!!!

Congratulations on finding the love of your life and then having a beautiful baby together! Motherhood (not to mention wifehood) certainly has its challenges, doesn't it? I hope you are surrounded by folks who love you and will cheer you on as you pursue better health.
I wonder how tall you are? It sounds like your WL is already off to a good start. If you have a proper idea about how many calories you need to be eating in order to lose, that will be a great help. Also regularly exercising! Put your babe in a stroller and get out there! Do you hear me cheering you on?

yes i did !!  im 5'1 and ny calorie intake a day is 1200 - 1550 i use sparkpeople i really helps me keep track of everything and my carbs and fat.

Rep Power: 8 | | | Yesturday i went out to eat in a resturant i got a grilled chicken sandwhich with mash potatoes & gravy...yummy
And at night i exercised on my stationary bike for 60 mintues!! its the longest ive done i usuallly do 30 mintues apart through out the day but i was fine in no pain at all i guess im use to it now so i can be on it longer im sure afterwards ill be on it for even longer .
Today jan 19th 08 when i woke up around 9:30ish i went to the bathroom then i weighed myself and it said 145 then again i went on it said 145.5 then again 145 so it was always 145 or 145.5 i really hate how scales do that ughh but owell atleast im not in the high 40's . |

I need motivation to get me going ive never really had it before but now i tried something out to keep me motivated!!..
1.) is the people here and on sparkpeople that ive seen there befores and after and wow i know i can do it too.
2.) I watch the biggest loser couples
3.) i hung up in my room my cute top and my size 3 jeans as an outfit.
4.) I have pictures on my bathroom mirror of my befores when i was 120 & how i look now :/ and my celebrity photo (britney Spears).
thats pretty much all i have for now but when im watching tv and i see girls that have nice bodys then ill say to myself damn i wanna look like that so that will keep me motivated aswell, or when i go to the store and i see these cute clothes that wont look good on me but if i lose weight then ill fit into them so that also makes me want to lose weight.
So i try to keep motivated  |

Rep Power: 25 | | Well done with 60 min on the bike! Do you have it in front of your tv? That's where my treadmill is, and it is the best! I like what you're doing for motivation, too. I LOOOOOVE watching Biggest Loser - my Mum and I watch it together every week for inspiration! Also the photos on this forum have been a great boost in helping me keep going.

Rep Power: 8 | | Today i checked my weight this morning and it said 143.5 so hopefully thats right beacuse im happy and so determined to atleast hit my 30;s i havent been iin my 30's for atleaste a year .
So last week i really didnt lose any weight maybe like what a half a pound then my husband told me it may be from my period with all the water weight and stuff....so maybe it is now ill just have to wait til its over. So since i noticed i wasnt losing much i thought i have to work even harder so starting yesturday i always do my 40/50 mintues of pilates and my stationary bike but i added 30 mintues of ab workouts which really poops me out from all that exercing and on top off all that i still have to do chores around the house and take care of my daughter so it is tiring but im losing weight so im determined to do this
And i have to talk about strech marks i got them from my pregnancy i had alot on my inner things at like 2 months pregnant they came quick but i had nothing on my tummy at 7 months i starting getting small ones on my sides i used so much palmers cream but it didnt work so i got them on my tummy now
right now there white kinda the color of my skin but they look like scars ofcourse so i heard about mederma i tried mederma over a year ago it costs 30$$!!!!! for a bottle and the bottle isnt even that big and you have to use it 4 times a day !! and by using it that much it will only last 2 weeks or less. so yea i only bought it once its so expensive espcially that it doesnt last long but it does work great it doesnt take the strech marks completely but it does hide some what of it
i havent used anything since maybe i should just to help it a bit and make my skin firmer.
another thing i thought of doing was but foundation on it to cover them up if your gonna wear a shirt tahts gonna show a bit of your tummy or when you go to the beach or something...lol..i dunno i just thought of that
anyway nothing else to say ....
