Post 21yrs Old & Battaling the big 200-

Well I am almost 22 years old, and feel physcially like im 40. I am currently 200 pounds. I am 5'6" and have a very large chest. (DD)Not in a good way either! I am trying to get a breast reduction but they wont give one to me until I lose 40 pounds. I personally want to lose about 50. I have gotten so embaressed of the way I look that I avoid seeing old friends because of the weight I have put on. I don't let people take pictures of me and the worst part is my boyfriend( hopefully soon to be fiance) has not seen me fully naked in 2 years. It effects my sex and personal life. My boyfriend is wonderful, he even said he would take me on a cruise if I lost 35 pounds.
I just need some people to talk to and keep motivated with.
I am currently hitting the gym 4 times a week, though some times its 5 or 6. I go for an hour to an hour and a half. 45 min cardio - and 30 mins weights or Abs work depending on the day.
I am trying to stick to 1500 cal diet. I am stearing clear of drinking calories No Soda Diet or Regular. Half cup juice max- No more Starbucks- No more Jugo or Booster Juices. H2O is my new best friend. I also am taking Mega T Green Tea Extract It keeps me going through the day. Anyone wanna be my weight loss buddie??

Goal Weight --> 150
Cruise Weight -- > 165
Starting Weight --> 200
Current Weight --> 190
I have lost 10LBS- and gained shoulders!!! YAY

PICTURES BELOW

FAR LEFT - Me at 200 maybe even 205.
LEFT - Old pic of me when I liked my body much better - 2003/ 04
RIGHT- My face transforming from the far left slowly getting a jaw bone again...
FAR RIGHT- Me showing off my face which is way clearer - no more breakouts- and thinner!

you seem pretty motivated and this is the best place to start.. a women being your age 1500 calories is a good idea with enough water to drink per day I would suggest 1-1.25 gallons of water per day along with 1500 clean calories and combine exercise youll be ready for that cruse before you know it haha!

GL, if you look around in the before and after pics as well as some of the stickies you will see alot of motivational threads. Best of luck to you!

I'm new around here too, so welcome! Getting things in gear and making a decision to change what you don't like feels really good, after the terror wears off. You can do this!

Thanks 4 The support Guys

I am still on track. Started a new job and I am able to get myself in a routine now. Wake up have my slim fast - travel to work( 6:45am) - Arrive I have one cup of coffee with 2 tbs 2% milk- 10:30 eat snack ( usually 1 pc of fruit, granola bar.) 12:00 Handful baby carrots - 1:00 my lunch break, have been going to extreme pita for lunch getting a reg grilled chicken whole wheat pita. Lettuce,onions, green pepper, with Hummous.( 400 calories ) and all I drink is water now! It is delicious and pulls me through the afternoon. 3:30 finish what ever is in my lunch bag ( peice of fruit, or nuts) Go to the gym from 5:45 to 7:10 on the bus and when I get home I am famished. Here in lies my problem . When I get home I am so hungry but it is fairly late in the evening I go to bed about 9:45, so i have been struggling with the timing of my dinner. Work out days are Mon. Tue. Thur. Sat. I notice a diffrence in my shape for sure my belly is getting flatter. I feel better. Changed my work out from about 45- 1hr cardio to 35 mins and 30 mins weights 10-15 mins ABS. Have not weighed myself this week( I am bloated from..... well you know the monthly curse) will weigh myself probably on saturday when its done. Anyone got any advice on my program? How is everyone else managing?

Question Its so hard!!!

I started a new job and moved into our new house and the last 2 weeks have been nuts!! I have been skipping the gym and feel horribly guilty for it. I have however increased my walking - 30 mins at lunch. walking instead of driving to the grocery store - 20 mins. My eating has been great latley too however we had some people over the other weekend and we dont keep pop in our house and I usually drink soda water if I have a craving for something bubbly but I caved and over the last week probably drank 3 cans of coke. They were cold and in our fridge and I saw them and I dont even know why I drank them. I dont really like coke, and I am 100% againts asprateme so I dont touch Diet sodas. Yesterday I took them out of my fridge- Out of sight out of mind... I have not weighed my self but will do tomorrow. ... Have no idea what to expect. I feel so much better and smaller but I dont know number wise where I am... We will see... Thanks again for everyones support!

Well I hope all goes well for you, and I would love to be your buddy for your loss. I'm looking for one myself. I'm looking to drop from 241 to 190 (which is where I was when I graduated High School) - I'm now 24.
Don't go razy though, you're a very beautiful girl, and I hope your boyfriend in giving you all the support you need. Regardless if you're 100lbs or 400lbs , he should appreciate your body the way it is. I hope that aspect of your life is going well, without support at home, it can be very hard. I wish you the best!

Just wanted to say congrats on your decision to work towards a lifestyle change and weight loss. I wish you the best of luck. I too am in my twenties and was getting awfully close to that 200 lb mark myself. Feel free to stop in and read my diary. If you've got questions, I'm here to listen. And by the way, just thought you'd like to know: I think you're absolutely BEAUTIFUL now...and with a few lbs gone...you're gonna be a knockout!

Good luck!

Well I did it, I got back in my gym habbit... eEster weekend was rough on me though, I had pizza sunday night and choclate.. okay lots of choclate.. emotional binge...Family all live 13 hours away were kind of sad not to be there for easter dinner. .. Weekends are hard for me! I did go to the gym for 2 hours on saturday though! We took a trip up to edmonton to go to West Ed Mall. Walked around there for 6 hours or so... I think all in all it was an okay weekend. Weighed my self and I am 195... Slowly dropping the pounds. I feel better about myself well some days anyways. I really wish I had a friend to do this with, I have a girlfriend who keeps saying " oh lets go to the gym tomorrow" and then bailing out. I have realized she will always have an excuse why she can not go to the gym. I dont need to surround myself with those types of people. I need positivity and motivation. Any one from Calgary?? I could use a buddy... Well hope everyone had a great easter and steared clear of the choclate! Ha ha ha..

Goal Weight --> 150
Starting Weight --> 199
Current Weight --> 195.
4LBs?? I know I can do better... I am thinking of joining Jenny Craig again... what are everyones thoughts??

Even if you aren't happy with the speed, you still have to congratulate yourself for losing those 4 lbs. You gotta start somewhere! Also keep in mind that if you are going to the gym and doing weight lifting that you are likely building muscle at the same time that you are losing fat, and muscle is denser than fat too! So I would not be surprised if you had really lost closer to 10lbs of fat but put on the difference in muscle! I don't know much about how likely that is for a body, but something to think about anyways

We have a lot in common it seems! I live in Edmonton, and even though I'm a couple years older than you (23) I have come scary close to 200lbs too and have to turn myself around before I get any closer! I'm definitely gonna be keeping an eye on your journal, maybe we can help each other

Mandy, (I hope you don't mind if I call you that) I'm very proud that you've already lost four pounds. It may be small, but it's still a really great achievement, chica.

I wanted to tell you, that you have quite a remarkable resemblance to Rachel Bilson to me. You're absolutely stunning, even at this current weight. I clicked on your picture and was taken aback. With this new weight loss you WILL achieve, you'll look like a supermodel in your own eyes, I promise you.

The gym workouts will get easier as time goes by as well. You'll come home everyday less sore than the workout session before until you can pound out a few miles on the treadmill without breaking a sweat. (Not literally of course, but you get my meaning)

Good luck with this, chica. I'm rooting for your transformation!
