Thanks for stopping by my diary as well
I currently see my trainer twice per week too. I am getting ready to cut it down to just one time per week tho. I wish I could see him as much as I wanted, whenever I wanted.... It is kind of expensive. I am grateful for everything I have learned from him and he is also a good friend now.
Getting to the gym and working out isn't usually my problem. It's the whole "keeping my diet clean" part of it. I like to workout really hard but also eat how I want, so naturally I haven't lost as much weight as I had wanted to by now. It's okay, I'm still a million miles away from where I was about this time last year, and that makes me feel good.
Sorry about your bad week. I'm right there with ya. It seems like I can do really good for about 3-4 days, and then I go blow it somehow.... It's a constant struggle. Today's a new day tho, right???
Thanks for the Ray Liotta comment, hehe. I will take it. People typically tell me I look like Quentin Tarantino, or his little brother, or even Matthew Perry.... I dunno, lol.
Have a great day

Rep Power: 0 | | Ok, so I've eaten better for the last couple of days - its a start - at least I will be back below 150 for the next weigh-in - as long as I maintain.
Sammyboy - ps - do you find that you feel much better when you are eating well, or is it more the exercise - for me - while I do feel better when eating well - its not as much as I would have thought. It is more the exercise that makes me feel good.
In fact, overall, I think back when I weighed my highest vs. now - while I definitely feel better - I think most of the upside is in a improved mental attitude (which I intend to acquire at some point!) sort of the same thing as weight loss - to me its about 75% diet 25% exercise - though you need both to get anywhere fast.

Am visiting my parents for the next few days. Every time I go there I overeat, so I've got not to do that this time. One cool thing is that I found a place to go to boxing classes there so hopefully that will give me some focus rather than sitting and eating, esp. at night.

Hope you were able to not overeat at your parents' house. I can totally relate. I seem to always overeat when I'm around my dad or family for some reason. I wonder if it's some deep subconcious reason, lol, or if it's just the fact that I pig out sometimes...
Hope all is well and the workouts are going nicely

Rep Power: 0 | | Thanks Sam - unfortunately that is not how it turned out. The weather was bad so there was a lot of staying inside and a lot of eating. Where I normally live, I live alone so it is easy for me to control what is in the house however not so with the parents. I weighed myself this morning - 156.2! Yikes. Updating the ticker hurt a bit, I must say.
Its not as bad as 156.2 really, I'm sure a couple of pounds at least is water etc. but having been in the mid 140s a few weeks ago it sort of sucks... Why do we do this to ourselves? Yeesh.
At least I know how to take off the weight relatively easily now - just got to stop putting back on!
