BeautifulSoul_x's Diary

I guess I'll start off by answering the questions from the information thread.

How much weight do you want to lose?
My Original Goal was 100lbs. Ive lost 20 so far, so 80lbs.

What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
Within the next year or two.

How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?

Diet & Exercise.

How realistic is your goal?

I think it's very realistic.

When will you start?
Ive already started.

-------------------------------------------
Breakfast: I don't know what they're called, but it was an english muffin with an egg, cheese and a sausage on there. I also had one with canadian bacon. (Horrible, I know)

Lunch: Nothing. I felt horrible for eating both of those at breakfast so I didn't eat lunch.

Dinner:BLT with popcorn potatoes [like tator tots]

snack/dessert: Smart one's Mint chocolate chip sundae

[B]Exercise:[B] Super Tonin' (Richard Simmon's dvd)

Today wasn't a good day at all for me. I shouldn't be making excuses but I had a dream with my Uncle in it last night. He was morbidly obese. He was at least 500-600lbs and recently passed away. The whole thing affected me terribly. It's one of the main reason's im trying to lose weight. And then on a talk show today they were talking about obesity and Gastric bypass. And it all just got to me and I realized that I ate when I was feeling upset. Ive been denying it for so long.

Everyday I take Adipex. It's an appetite supressent. When I first started taking it, I felt as if it worked for the first couple of weeks, then stopped. I'm not, NOT exercising or counting calories or watching what I'm eating, I just don't get why the doctor is keeping me on it. Everyday though, I do A Richard Simmon's DVD (lame, I know, but I think they're fun and they get me moving). I switch off between "Sweatin' to the oldies" & "Super Tonin'", and every other day I do 20-30 minutes on my exercise bike. I write down everything I eat, including serving size and calories. Some days though, I just feel horrible about myself and eat a lot. And then i'll feel extremely guilty about that and exercise for another hour or two.

--------------------------------------------

What is your current height and weight?
215lbs; 5'5"

If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
130-140

At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
170-ish

Why do you want to lose weight?
Ive been tormented almost my whole life for being overweight. I'm sick of having no self-esteem and having no confidence. I want to live and not be ashamed of myself. I also want to live and experience things for my uncle. He wasnt able to experience a lot of things in his life.

What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
Nothing

Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
Yes. Mainly calorie counting, cutting out pop and exercising every day.

Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
Lack of support/motivation

Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
I'm already doing that, so yes.

Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
We usually cook at home. We barely go out. What we cook varies.

How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
Not often. Maybe a couple times a month. Sometimes we get chinese, other times we get taco bell or pizza. Sometimes we get subway.

What are your three favorite foods?
Kiwi, Chicken&Broccoli, Potatoes

What are your three favorite restaurants?
China Garden, Subway, New York Deli [coney island type place]

What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
1.) I could subtract french fries or something like that for a vegetable
2.) Instead of ice cream or cake or something for dessert, I could have Fruit.
3.) Instead of frying things, I could bake or steam them.

If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I would probably be confident and not put myself down so much. Id probably be happy for once. And I would more than likely be way healthier.

Do you eat when you are not hungry?
I used to. I chew minty gum between meals so I don't eat.

Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Rarely.

Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
No.

Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
Unfortunatly

Do you eat as a reward?
Sometimes

Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
I Try not to, but I do.

What do you normally eat for a meal?
Some kind of meat and a side of noodles, mashed potatoes or rice.

What type of snacks do you eat?
I get those 100 calorie pack snacks

In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?

Exercise Bike; Richard Simmon's tapes

What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
the Richard Simmons Video's; Volleyball[hopefully that counts]; Walking.

What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
I have a playlist of songs that "Inspire" me. I also tell myself that I'll be able to do more things when I lose the weight.

Do you have rewards for certain goals?
not at the moment.
