So today if my first day typing in here, I guess it's only fair that I give a proper introduction. My name is Kiyo, I'm 26 and I'm married. Ummm there is something I'm forgetting here.....Oh right, according to my BMI I am obese I cringe everytime that I say that because I never viewed myself that way. When I was in high school and the early years of my college career I was always active, even if I was over weight. But in January I realized just how out of shape and fat I was. I was starting to have a hard time going up stairs , I no longer shopped for clothing for myself, and I didn't want to go to amusement parks because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to fit on the roller coasters anymore.
I had half heartily tried dieting before , but I was never serious before. Now however I am more serious about losing weight then I have ever been in my whole life. My mom use to tell me that "when you want to lose weight , it has to be for you and no one else." I never realized how right she was. This is the first time that I've been so unhappy and the first time I really decided to do something about it.
Now I'm here starting this journal. I'm still not sure what I'm gonna post in here. Maybe I'll post when I have my weigh in's every Wednesday . Or maybe I'll just post if something good or bad happens to me we shall see.
That's all I got to say. |

So I had been thinking about it all week and all weekend and I came to the determination that I'm gonna quit Jenny Craig because it's just to expensive. Not only that but I haven't been cooking for my husband and I've been just giving him fast food. I know he's skinny , but that's still not healthy. While I do still like Jenny , there is just no way in my mind that I can justify spending $100 a week I don't want to bad mouth the program, and if you have the money and the opportunity I think that you should go for it. But for me , I just can't do it anymore. I really hope that the staff doesn't give me a hard time about this. I've already spent about $400 and I've lost 5 pounds through them. Oh well, I let you know how it goes on Wednesday.
I'm jumping up my exercise routine. I've joined another gym only $10 down and $40 a month. That's about what I'm paying at Curves. Everyone there seems very nice. I'm gonna be going there in the early morning instead of doing my DVD workouts , unless I'm super tired and just want to stay at home and workout. I was able to put in another 30 mins at my new gym, plus Curves this morning so it's about 60 min workout for today. I've got my weigh in this Wednesday and I've been faithful to my diet all week so we shall see how it goes. On next Sunday I will have my weigh in and measurements done at Curves so I will be posting how that goes.
That's all I got to say. |

So I went to Jenny Craig yesterday and I dropped out of the program. They were a lot nicer about it than I thought. They just told me to give them a call if I wanted to come back in So all in all it wasn't to bad. This Wednesday I will be going to Weight Watchers. They are much cheaper and I still need that outside voice telling me what to eat and what not to eat. It's the only way I've ever been successful.
Now for the exercise. I've been going to the gym at 5:30am every morning and I'm really enjoying it. I listen to my music and just workout. I'm going to be meeting with a personal trainer this Saturday (since I get 4 sessions free). Also I'm going to be attending a hip hop dance class tonight at the same gym I'm still doing Curves. I got 5 times a week and I have my first weigh in and measurements at that time. I'll report how it went |

Periods are bad for weightloss. I felt like my eating was so out of control! GAH! So frustrating. Any other woman experience this? I still was able to lose some more weight according to the scale this morning. I just think that if I was able to stick to my diet I would have lost even more Official weigh-in tonight so stay tuned. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
