Rep Power: 6 | | | Leslie's Diary I am bringing sexy back!!! That is my saying when I am dieting.
MY GOAL:
I am going to take before and after pictures. I am very encouraged and motivated to lose weight. I want to be a size 5 again. I really miss looking good in a pair of jeans.
FOOD:
I feel comfortable eating 1200 calories a day. I get full off of that. Some people say its not enough. What do you think?
WORKOUT:
I just bought and elliptical and I love it. I need to go buy myself some free weights. I really want to be tone, after I lose. I have been reading alot and weights are suppose to burn calories too. What do you think?
Since I have started this forum on 2/23/08 I have lost 6lbs.....yeah.
I want to thank everyone for their support. I have met really nice people here. (my real friends arent as nice) hehe |

I have lost 7lbs since 2/23/08....thats when i started here on the forum.
I was 165 in Jan 2008 and I am so happy, finally I am losing weight. In the past I would try but now I am really trying and its paying off.
I went shopping on sat and I bought some clothes that are 1 size smaller than what I usually wear. They are tight on me but I will fit into them eventually...oh I also bought a swimsuit. It fits but a little tight but it will fit me good next month.
My goal is to be 7lbs lighter in one month. 04/15/08 |

Rep Power: 6 | | My plan this week is to work out every night.
30-45 min cardio.
I dont have dumbells, any ideas for weight lifting?
I want to look my best this weekend. Family is getting together for Easter and nobody has seen me since I lost some weight.
Before I started the forum 165 lbs and now 149....I am finally out of the 150s and hopefully I can keep it going.
16lbs lost and i hope it doesnt get harder at the end.
Today I was thinking about inches lost. I measured myself last month, and then again yesterday. Its the same, I was wondering how that could be?
I am frustrated about this. |

Rep Power: 217 | | if you do a search on body weight exercises you'll find a lot of suggestions both on this forum and on google..
and also check places like freecycle.org for used dumbbells that someone wants to declutter or craigslist.com or even goodwill/salvatation army/etc for used dummbells cheap... |

I will buy some dumbells. Is there any other equipment that is pretty good. I have never shopped for these items? |

You can use cans of soup, until you get to the store to get dumbells. |

I suggest it so oftne, I don't know who I suggest it to anymore - but do read the stickied threads.. some of the points you'll learn is that women aren't going to get big and bulky so don't be afraid of heavy weights -that said -when you're startig with weights - start with a weight you're comfortable with and work towards progressively heavier weights.
Soup cans are fine - sort of but they're only a lb - and you're really better off with 2 -3 lb weights at minimum to start with -
You will probably find that shoulder presses are far more difficult than bicep curls -just becuase of how your body works - bicep curls 3lbs will be really light but will probably challenge you a bit for shoulder presses -ina few weeks time - 5 - 8lbs dumbbells will be more appropriate or even heavier.
There's a sporting goods chain store called Play it Again Sports - they sell nothing but used sporting goods equipment - if there's one on your area- make friends.. |

although I do like my aerobic step... it's goes from 6-8 inches and it's good for doing step ups - I'll do step ups with bicep curls or shoulder presses so you're kind of multi tasking and getting a bit of cardio on.
you can also use the step for doing chest presses lay on your back on the step and use dumbbells to press up..
but do read the stickied threads in exercise - Steve's put a lot of effort and good info into those threads and describe exercises very well |

I do have Myspace, but I honestly never use it... too many people that I knew in real life tried starting some high school style drama so I removed myself from the situation lol |
