Rep Power: 33 | | Today I've had:
SF-Carnation Instant Breakfast Smoothie(skim milk)
4 big strawberries/benefiber mixed in.
Water and more Water
Choc. Whey Protein Shake (used water) 6 slices of banana mixed in.
Dinner will be (proper portions and measured):
Extra Lean Beef Meatloaf Patty - Mashed Potatoes made with Chicken Stock instead of butter - Green Beans - Small Green Leaf Salad w/Dressing.
The Dr. said to hold off on exercise until Monday.
I probably won't lose much by next weigh in on Friday bc of that.
My back is still hurting??
Hubby says it has to be my kidneys.
I still have not started!
I hope you're all doing well. |

Rep Power: 12 | | | What an ordeal!!! I'm glad you're coming out of it. Congratulations for hitting the '70's! It so satisfying to see a new number, isn't it? I like your idea of a poster board. There is something so satisfying to check things off of a list.
Hope you're enjoying your weekend! |

In a little while, hubby and I are going to check out exercise bikes and I'll get proper walking shoes as well while we're out.
My feet are still slightly swollen with a few fluid pockets left.
The hospital dr. said I could get back to exercise on Monday..
I'll just have to keep an eye on my feet I guess. |

I am sorry to hear that you have been so sick. Really scary stuff - and hopefully it will help motivate you against that dratted OCD that keeps trying to control you. You need to be strong and make this weightloss thing happen (the doctor said so) or your health could really suffer. It's a shame as your weight is not really too bad (compared to where many of us have been) - but there is no denying that your health is suffering.
Congratulations on reaching that milestone. We all love those milestones. Stay focused on weight loss and you will hit the next milestone soon. I know that you can do it. It really will improve your health.
Take care
Love

Rep Power: 12 | | | That is one great birthday gift. Really, the real gift will be the weight you've lost using it by the time your birthday comes around.
You're looking lovely as well! |

He sure did.
I love it.. It's very addictive. I hope that doesn't wear off!
We have found a nice spot for it in the living room and we'll see it all day which I think will be helpful.
I'm going to try and have spurts of exercise all day today bc of the birthday cake and ice cream...lol
I did get me my own little pint of sugar free ice cream to help cut the cals/fat.
The cake is Lemon with Lemon icing. I'll have a regular slice after dinner.
Dave's B-Day Dinner will be my homemade spaghetti and meatsauce.
I always use whole wheat pasta and low sodium/sugar canned tom. sauce along with fresh roma tomatoes.
There will also be salad and WW-MG garlic rolls.
Dinner isn't bad, it's the dessert. lol |

Rep Power: 33 | | This whole thing hit home w/me, so I wanted to share it with everyone.
Jillian Michaels Says:
Visualize the Prize
The technique of visualization uses thoughts and imagination to bring about major life changes.
It's simple: Picture in your mind the object of your desire (whether it's a situation, an event, or an image of yourself) as vividly as possible.
Spend time concentrating on the image of wish fulfillment, truly believing in it as if it were already real.
Be detailed and comprehensive, and be sure to include your emotional well-being in this vision as well.
The reason visualization works is that your brain can't tell the difference between a real event and an imagined one; so by using your imagination, you can create positive experiences that improve your self-image and your skills, help you release worry, realize your goals, and so on - the possibilities are endless.
You can now create an image of your body that fits your genetic type and potential.
It must be a vision that you can believe, not one that will be out of reach. For example, I'm never gonna be able to slam-dunk like Shaq — I'm five foot two, for godsake; but it doesn't mean that I can't play one hell of a mean basketball game.
I will be the best player that I can be, and at the end of the day that's what counts. Your imagination can be the source of your fear, but it can also provide the remedy.
By harnessing the power of your imagination and practicing visualization techniques, you will make your mind work for you, not against you. JILLIAN'S TIP OF THE DAY
Mind Over Matter
You can change your life by changing your mind.
Any lingering sense of inferiority or inadequacy will interfere with the attainment of your goals and dreams, while self-confidence and a positive attitude lead to success.
To push your body toward ripped perfection, your mind has got to be strong and focused.
It is imperative that you hone and train your mind as intensely as you train your body. This means following a few guidelines and performing some mental exercises to replace self-defeating behaviors with positive ones, and to remove distractions and bring mental clarity and self-control.
After all, it's your mind that directs and drives everything you do, or don't do — so get it on your side! |

Rep Power: 35 | | | Happy early Birthday to you Stacey!!!
Wow! What a great gift. I can't wait to be able to get out on my bike this summer.
Wish Dave a Happy Birthday from me!
And enjoy that slice of cake.
From personal experiance it is better to have some now rather than overspluge later.
Have a great day Sweetie! |
