Rep Power: 45 | | Camy, I'm in agreement with mal. Your body will look a lot better and will remain a lot stronger as you age (strength training builds both muscle and bone). If you dont feel you know what you're doing in the gym, it really would be worth getting a trainer for maybe 3 sessions to at least figure out how to do some exercises. It sort of sounds like a waste of time to walk around not really knowing how to do anything. Most gyms give an orientation to at least show you how to use the machines. You can start with doing the circuit for the first 2 or 3 months if you can figure out how to operate those. Or watch some videos online for form for a free weight routine. Its not hard once you get the hang of it. |

Rep Power: 6 | | According to harris benedict equation I should eat 1600kcal/day and still be able to lose weight (assuming that i'll stick to 3 weight trainings a week and 3 joggings), so on Friday I added another 150kcal and now I eat 1450/day.
This weekend wasn't so good, I ate 2 cookies on Saturday and another 2 on Sunday But I also managed to do my 3 miles and B-training, so hopefully, that won't cause much damage Quote: |
Good that you found yourself a weights routine. I just talked about it yesterday with the man, he thinks I do not need to do weights, I think from what I read on here that it might be good, but I don't even understand the names of them, so first I need to dedicate myself for like a day to figuring out what the heck everyone is, then I would have to experiment and the one thing I hate is to look like I don't know what I am doing when I am at the gym.
| Camy, I'm new at this so it's not like if I know what I'm talking about But You really don't need machines to start weight training. My routine is done with DB's at home. Try it out, maybe You'll like it
have a nice upcoming week

Rep Power: 6 | | Well, Ladys and gentelmen it's Wednesday - My weigh-in day !!!
And i'm proud to tell that I'm 138.4 lbs
Which is quite remarkable, after all I've uped my intake to 1450kcal per day.
I'm not complaining, though

Rep Power: 6 | | | After the weekend (huge bowl of spaghetti and... sweets, of course !! ) I'm too afraid to step on the scales - I JUST DON"T WANT TO KNOW !!
I've realised today how hard it'll be to reach 120Ibs !!!! I don't know why I thought that it's goning to be easier (It's not like I haven't tried before) !
I'm just so disgusted with myself ! I've spent whole week jogging, and working out just to ruin all of that hard work in one weekend - GOD I really want to cry right now.
OK, enough complaining - I have my A-training to do. |

Rep Power: 13 | | My sunday weigh in wasn't that amazing either... well it will only get better!
AND you didn't ruin i all, the muscle you build up, the strength etc... that doesn't go away because you ate too much spaghetti one day!!! I ate a lot of chocolate mousse... that is worse !!!
However, just think how far you have come (I know our losses are not as impressive as some out there but they do feel impressive to us!) and how "not all that impossible" that was! So just go on thinking how not all that impossible it will be from nwo on.
Also, where are you from? I have been wondering for weeks now!
Have a good week, Camy |

Rep Power: 11 | | | Every road has its bumps! You've lost over 17 lbs. That is not easy to do, but you've done it. So you had some pasta and sweets. You're still miles ahead of where you were, right? Don't overcompensate. Just get back on track and continue the way you were and you'll be just fine. |

Have a good week, Camy | Camy, you are just amazing, I think you have a gift for supporting people! You always know how to cheer me up - THANK YOU SO MUCH !!
As to where I come from, hahaha I've always got a problem with that question My father was German and my mother is Pole - I was born in Poland but I've been living and working in the Netherlands for 2 years now, and it's highly possible that i'll be moving to Sweden in November. So i'm sort of a EU citizen Quote:

You always see the big picture!
You are right, I'm down 17lbs !!! I was so focused on 120 that I completely forgot that!
I think that is the reason I failed before - I've been so caught up with doing things 100% correct that after first cheat day I just gave up!
Thanks so much for Your support - It means the world to me !

So i'm sort of a EU citizen | I am placement complicated as well: my parents are from argentina, I lived 10 years in germany, 7 years in spain and 6 years in london... so I am... complicated! I am moving to some part of the african continent, to make matters worse !
When asked I say I am argentinian, because that is where I feel from (heritage-wise) but I have dual citizenship (germany/argentina), and people don;t always grasp that I "am" argentinian but never lived there for more than 3 months!
Have a great day, Camy |

I stalled a little, but finally gathered my 'courage' and steped on scale 138.8 lbs
+0.4lb - not so bad, I honestly thought that it would be much worse ... Thanks for stopping by Pink Quote: |

| Well that is exactly my problem I grew up in Poland but during really hard times... Martial low - rings a bell? Probably not, It's not like if I knew a lot about history of Argentina
In short my parents were too afraid to teach me to speek german because that could get my family into trouble with police, i had really hard time in school because of my surname etc etc...
It's really sad storry and I don't want You to be bored with it...
Don;t get me wrong, though... Now Poland is like completely different country - lots of perspectives and so on... My mother always says that she should wait 6-7 years to have me and my sister b/c life would be easier for us then... She is probably right, but we managed, You know I LOOOOOVE MY WORK and living here in Holland is great! AND BTW, AFIRCA ?? - WOW !!!!!!!!
PS
I can't belive that i've written all that! Sorry if it's TMI |

| Hey Wicked, you cant keep kicking yourself it doesnt help. Having some sweets is okay! It really is, as long as you do two thing with it. Count the calories and dont over eat them. Example, I have a big wonderful tub of Chocolate Peanut butter Ice Cream sitting in my freezer right now. Fat me would go in and make a 32 oz milk shake with it. Thin me goes in and takes 2 bites and puts it away. No guilt but I still get to enjoy the taste. If you condemn yourself you are doomed to fail. Not allowing yourself a treat or a cheat day is another way you will make yourself fail too. Just eat very little of it and not as often. You can do this! |
