Rep Power: 7 | | lol, sweet ride mate...still hiding in the corner from wishes. And hope2, are you a author or in publication someway, you just have a real great way of saying things. I appreciate it.
Okay gang today is the day. Gonna get in the zone on my new bike and take no prisoners. No offense to the peeps recently released, (you know who you are). Diet is going well, well I should actually say lack of sustance the last few days. Been busy and as you all know, somehow food gets put on the back burner, and then all of a sudden your stomach just says, listen you sob, I am hungry feed my now, or I will get you to eat some junk food, just to get even.
I am really gonna try to get this last ten pounds off, if I bust a nut doing so, so be it. I have been sitting at the 164-165 mark for too long. Still much better than I was originally so not gonna be too hard on myself. Not gonna kiss my biceps in the mirror though either ( again you know who you are...)
Thanks for visiting and thank you for the support. Wish me luck, wow I can't believe it, three days feels like an eternity. Gonna sleep hard tonight, wait scratch that, that sounded misplaced. I am going to sleep well.
Take care all....
Kevin

Rep Power: 7 | | lol, okay so I kinda have gone perhaps a bit too far on the new bike...After tonight's workout um well I felt like getting sick. Perhaps I will pace myself more carefully. Things are going really well, and I think the new bike in the long run will work out much better than the old one. I know it's a bike move on, but it is a big part of my routine, so I blab about this and that. Diet is still going well. Not alot to say, still feeling a little off so I am gonna hit the hay. Take care everyone...

Rep Power: 7 | | Lol, today was a very interesting day. Hard to explain busy is a good safe word. Anyone else work at a job where watching grass grow just might be more interesting, or why stop there paint drying is just as entertaining. Well luckily someone saved me from that agony. I figure this is my journal, it doesn't always have to be about exercising/diet, this is about everything and how we constantly find new ways to challange ourselves to become more healthy, but also to continue our journey to be better people.
What are you doing to better yourself?
Okay not sure where all that came from, what a dork...Back to the basics. Diet, hit a slight bump in the road, my daughter and I snuggled and watched a movie and I had some of her milkduds. I honestly haven't had candy in about three months, outside of some heath candy bar chunks in a DQ blizzard. So I have forgiven myself already, lol. Nothing I can't overcome, with a gooood extra long workout. I still fell below my norm calorie intake so it should be fine.
Tomorrow is a workout day, I am so excited about that, and yes I mean that, I do get excited about that. lol
Take care all.
Kevin
Hope everyone is doing well. |

Rep Power: 42 | | I'm with you , brother, on two counts. First, your journal is not just about diet and exercise. It's about everything in your life because everything is involved in the challenge that is your weight loss. Second, the challenge to become better people is big in my estimation. I see it as a goal to be better not just for myself, but as an example to my children. I want them to see that continually challenging yourself is both normal and rewarding. I want them to challenge themselves on a personal level, now and throughout their lives.
What are you doing to better yourself?
Oh, and self reflection is not dorky. Keep with it. |

Rep Power: 7 | | | good point mate. I shouldn't feel self conscious about bettering myself as I too am an example for my kids. See this is why it is great to talk and be in the same boat as others in here. Real people just doing thier own thing, helping out others on the way. Thanks again mate. I appreciate it. Long work day, but gonna tough it out and hit the bike sometime this evening lol, gonna chill for a bit then get in the "zone". Hope everyone is doing well and thank you again for the feedback much appreciated.

Rep Power: 79 | | | doesnt matter how hard you work, sometimes there is a blunder or even a deliberate blunder type thing.
Dont fret about the milk duds, i ate 2 packs of jelly beans over the weekend *G*. I refuse to feel guilty, but instead put in a few extra hours on the bike! |

Rep Power: 7 | | well remember that statement about busting a nut, well I think I may have accomplished that. Took today off to recover, tomorrow is my day off of work, so gonna really bust my butt, hopefully not actually (breaking something that shouldn't be broken, lol) Just really gonna push myself the next two days. Things are going swell, I got a really nice compliment at work today, it was one of those that just set the tone for the rest of the day, and well it worked, so to the stranger at work, I say thank you. Diet, I cheated went to a baseball game and had a treat, but I rarely cheat so not gonna hide in the closet or beat myself up. Other than that diet and exercise are going well, Although the scale is still stuck, I am still seeing nice improvements in body composition, legs are getting bigger, my fat is confused and not sure where to go, lol. Have a great day/night everyone. And always thank you for the support and thoughts shared in this group.

Rep Power: 7 | | yes wishes compliments are nice...So tonight had a great workout, one of those workouts where you just wanted to keep going. So I did a bit more than usual woot. Might pay the price tomorrow but that is okay, tonight was wonderful. Well not sure what happened but I'll take it, was out running errands, and decided to peek in a garage sale in my yuppy little neighborhood. Oh a moving sale even better. So needless to say the guy there was an avid biker and was getting rid of a couple sweet bikes. So we chatted for a bit, hit it off and ended up with a $600 bike for um, and embarrassing 20 bucks, lol. He had one of those Greg Lemond bikes which cost in the $5-6,000 range so he was just being nice. Love that crap. So happy about that, gonna give it a good look over tomorrow and just might get a good ride in as I have the day off. I am pretty excited, can you tell? Okay what else is new in this silly life. Diet good, exercising good, work so-so as usual. So I took some of your guys/gals advice and joined a biking club in the area, and they got me thinking about racing. Hmmm. I might just have to give that a try, set a goal and maybe give it a shot. I will have to to register for a couple now for the end of summer, that way I won't back down. Gonna do it so another exciting thing, I will keep you posted.
Have a great day gang, I did drop a pound woot, a very hard earned pound but a pound none the less. I will have to change my ticker. WOOT
Take care all

Rep Power: 79 | | yah bike clubs are what got me addicted, the guys are so darned friendly and we always have a good old gas bag whilst cycling. And then they have a social coffee and cake at the cafe, though i forgo the cake and eating part usually
