Caet's Diary with Optifast

Hi guys

Well I've tried all sorts of diets and I always put the weight back on (and more). I've tried Cohen and Jenny Craig and various less formal diets.

So I decided at 87.5 kg enough was enough. I'm going to see the medics.

I went to my GP and a dietician. Between them I am going to start Reductil when the results of my blood tests come back, and the dietician has started me on Optifast.

I'd be interested if anyone else has similar experiences

-Caet

Hi Caet,

I'm also on Optifast. I started on April 17th and have lost 13lbs so far. I was doing really well and went back east for my brother's wedding and to see friends and family for a week. It was very difficult to stick with during that week. I managed to stay on Optifast for breakfast and for lunch most days however, I did cheat but tried to eat mostly healthy food. I arrived back home in LA on Thursday and have had a hard time sticking to my diet. Again, I do fine for breakfast and lunch but it's 3pm -7pm that I have a most difficult time.

I would love to have an Optifast buddy on this forum, it would really help when I want to cheat and to also provide support for you. I have added some herbs and spices to the soups and that seems to help.

Take care,
Karen

Thanks Karen.

I've just ticking along. Lost 2.5kg the first week but I dont expect that to last. My Dr has also started me today on Reductil.

First visit to the dietician since starting.

I've lost 4kg - woohoo.

Had a problem with stomach cramps on the first day I was on the reductil but that didnt continue - although it does seem to make my stomach rumble.
