Okay, woke up at 6:15AM (after waking at 6am and turning on the heater).
I only did some bicep curls and some crunches, but something isn't nothing, right!?
Ok, today's a busy day, gotta get through it... got work, then weightloss group then tutoring a student in Afrikaans (a language).
Laters!
good for you Ankebuzz..yes something isn't nothing. I had full intentions of getting up a little earlier in the mornings to get some exercises in, have not gotten there yet... will do it! ~ Michelle
Hey sounds like your doing really well.
Happy very belated birthday!
Hows day 2 of the sugar ban going? I'm not craving just yet but it's still early, anyhoo we can both do this
Ooooo, CRASH!!!! She fell off the wagon... but that bed was JUST. SO. COMFY!
I will carry on tomorrow.
In other news, i have been having some sugar here and there, ahem, fathersday. (any excuse )
I will no longer be drinking sugar in my tea or coffee. I will also limit myself to a once a week small sugar treat (lollipop/candy), and once a month decadent sugar treat (cake/fudge).
So here goes... I will have my sweet treat on Friday after cleaning my house. and no, not as a reward, but I would like to be relaxed when I enjoy my treat!
I am not doing well on the food preparation front, and really need to pack me lunches!!!
I am so broke, it's terrible, supposed to get paid Thursday... who knows with the current state of the company. On the bright side, I went to a job interview for a similar position today and I got the job... I will most likely start next week Tuesday, AAHHH!!! It pays the same, but not less, so wooo!!
ON THE RUNNING SIDE..... I made a running buddy (she wants to start and needs guidance) and I've been off for 4 weeks, so perfect match We are meeting up today for the first run, and will be doing 2mins running, 1min walking all the way!!! (3.4km route). I really think this will motivate me, as we also want to plan to run a 5km race together in the next month or so
I must say, running is awesome and all, but I have not had enough exposure to the social side of things... I did go to 3times weekly runs for a while, but I actually preferred to do my own run, no talking. But now that I have the opportunity to run with someone whose conversation I enjoy as well, it seems like a good idea! Anyway, if these runs become too easy or social I may just do a few solo runs... besides, I've only just discovered the magic that music can bring to a run! (especially on the treadmill )
Phew, I'm all over the place, but hey, they do call these things "Journals"
hope all's going well? the running buddy sounds like it'll fit in quite well for you. i sometimes wish i had a workout buddy, i think it can make a big difference...but untill i get one will be working out all by my lonesome.
as for the whole change thing....i've never liked change, and when it comes i'm always left feeling lost and confused...lol! but you know what? sometimes change can be a good thing, you won't know when it's happening but when everythings settled you'll be like 'hmmm i actually needed that.'
all the best hun, take care xoxo

Anyway, at least I am not stagnating in any area of my life I will keep changing until I am content methinks.
Afrikaans....do you just learn that in school from your friends or did you grow up in your home learning that as well as English?
I am just wondering because well there are actually a few SA's that I've met that live here in Calgary. A couple I was kind of friends with for a few years. Since they moved to Canada under the age of 12, they've both lost their accent. I'd only hear one using the accent when she'd talk with her mom on the phone, but she hid it. She also cannot speak Afrikaans..
The other guy that I talk to once in awhile now, moved to Calgary with his family 2 1/2 years ago, and so has his accent full blown. I like it, but who wouldn't, it's a nice change. I've watched him and a friend type it on msn, as well as speak some of it. I call it mookie mookie. He said he didn't learn it at home, but at school from friends and what not.
He told me how to say " I Love Cherries" but I forget... every time you let us know about a holiday, I ah haha bring it up to him, (he really misses home)
Anyways, Thanks for all your support! Really Appreciated.

Just popping in to say I start my new job tomorrow... no more free internet time methinks!
So I will make a mission of coming on here at home in the evenings sometimes, but I may be a bit MIA for a while to get used to my new job(/lifestyle/ environment/stresses!!)
Good news is I think I can kick this cigarette habit for good now, as I will not be smoking at the new work... kinda policy or something.
Last week I ran 3 times, after a month of NOTHING. So pleased. Another 3 runs this week and i'll be super happy!
