But wait.. Please please please could you mail me some of your bees' honey ?
Get some local honey and you'll be doing yourself a big favor. The honey has all the pollen and nutrients from the plants that grow around your area. This will boost your immune system against these pollens. The sweetest medicine you will ever take. Your local beekeeper will appreciate it, too.

Out of curiosity, I followed through some of your advice concerning belly dancing. With the current economy crunch, it is impractical for me to waste gas, traveling into Pittsburgh once a week for an hour-long class. So far, my search has brought up no one closer than the city. Also, considering the gas crunch, I can't afford classes-- especially since I have to save money up for my books and gas to commute to school. I did poke around Youtube and found some quick instructional snippets. And are you ever right, it is so much fun. I can actually move like that, it seems much more natural than other dances I have encountered. It suits my heavier lower half. I think for now I'm just going to familiarize myself with a few of the moves before purchasing a DVD. Hey, any extra movement burns more calories. I love Bollywood-- its music is the only music that makes me actually want to dance, anyway.
Cool about the dancing, Deidre! It really is awesome, hey! And you'll also find it uses some pretty different muscles to some other exercise (though I doubt that there's a muscle on your body you haven't flexed )
Angel! Well done, you are officially bikini ready. I am so impressed, you look gorgeous! And as I said in your thread, I will use you for inspiration to get me through the tough times!!
Speaking of which, I'm gonna have a killer full body work out tonight... back, stomach, arms, legs and everything inbetween! Also see below, I'll be doing all of that too So proud of my baby exercise addiction!
So, here are my running, cycling and swimming times for the mini indoor triathlon my gym is having in September: (these were the results of each of my first attempts at these activities.
2km running: 14:55
5km cycling: 9:30
125m swimming: 25 seconds a lap... can't do 5 yet! So works out to a rough 2:30 minutes.
I have already improved on the running by 1 minute... I haven't pushed myself with it until now... so here goes!
Have a great day all!

Reason: Erm, I can't really finish 2kms in 4:55, teehee
I need to head up to ye olde alma mater and run a mile on its track-- and see how fast (or slow) my mile is. It's difficult to gauge that around here. Pennsylvania is a state of rolling, varying terrain.
By the way, there's a website (measure my jog or track my route or something of the sort... ) where you can check how long your normal running route is in miles... that way you can work out a route for wherever you wanna run.
They just don't have South African maps on there...
Your pool is smaller than mine... we do olympic pool length at my gym, so each of them is 33 m instead of 25! But you are really fast! I need like a minute a lane!
Well done for timing yourself! I am aiming to run 5 k in 40 minutes... I am just slow like that! But right now I still just do like 4 k in 30 minutes and then I give up because I am too tired! Slacky slacky me!
