Paula, Galiath is ADORABLE!!!! (and great name choice, BTW ) I want a small dog soooo bad, but, alas, we are only allowed one dog at a time ( we live on state owned land ) so our HUMAN-GUSSSSSS one will be a lonely one hehehe
Hope you are feeling 100% soon. Keep up the good work and have fun shopping for puppy
hey paula,
just checking in. hope you are feeling better. i'm sure that puppy is keeping you busy. i actually just got another puppy as well. well, the puppy more so came to us. he was on my back porch (fenced in yard) on sunday morning. that little hoodinie (sp?). he had no tags/collar, nothing....so, i've been walking around the blocks looking for someone who lost him (hmm, maybe that is how i moved that plateau?!?!)...anyways, and NOBODY. the poor little thing cant be more than 7 or 8 weeks old. Now FH wants to keep him and i just can't object! Hope all is well...

Thanks everyone for all the support. I'm feeling a lot better and just joined a challenge so maybe that will give me the push I need.
BizeB and HH, there is definitely a difference between your house being a little messy and being filthy... this place was definitely the latter and then some! I'll just be glad when we're finished with it this weekend.
So I have not done anything for like three weeks (except probably gain weight). I'll be back. Going to see if I can get the scale from Josh.......
YEP! Just weighed myself and I'm back up to 155. Well, I have no one to blame except myself.
So now I ask myself, "What are you going to do about it?"
What kind of pedometer do you use? I have one that I got from somewhere but it seems to click and make it show as a step even when I bend over or get in and out of the car.
Thanks HH, I've been slacking so much that if it weren't for you ladies, I'd probably be on like page 568. LOL!
My pedometer is nothing fancy. It's actually one that my doctor gave me but I saw one just like it at a store for about $10. I have found that some are more reliable than others but as far as it counting steps when you bend over or get in and out of the car, if you think about it, that movement would probably be equal to a step or two so it's okay that it counts it. None of them are going to be completely accurate but if you set a goal to take a certain amount of steps and you accomplish that in a day, even if some of those weren't actually steps, it's close enough... it's still calories burned.
I'm actually watching one on Ebay right now that keeps track of calories, steps, and I can't remember what else but you can just plug it into your computer and save all the data there... looks pretty cool.

Oh, I agree. From what the neighbors told us, the people who used to live here were absolutely filthy. They had trash everywhere and would never clean. Come to think of it, is was pretty dirty when we moved in. My husband is a border line neat freak, and he cleans almost all the time. He has a fit when someone lays something down where it doesn't belong. Some people who used to live here apparently let a kid or teenager write on the walls with something that raised the words up from the wall. Even though it was painted over, you can still see it. There are also some glow-in-the dark spots. On our hallway bathroom door, it said "bath room" and it glowed. We are fixing that one. In our bedroom, there are flowers and stars on the wall. In the master bathroom, she wrote "if you sprinkle when you tinkle, then please be a sweety and wipe the seaty." Can you believe that?! My dad ownes a lot of houses and trailers that he rents out and he says we would be surprised with the crap some people do.
Anyways, I'm so sorry you are back up to 155. Let me give you another perspective: I would absolutely love to be 155!
HH,
People are freakin' weird! Even if it was just rental property, why would you pay to live in a place and then make it look like that? Dumb asses!
Thanks for the different perspective. I'm trying not to feel too bad about it because I knew it would happen and I've slacked for probably about three weeks. I'll get it off... just sucks to have to lose the same weight again.
Man, I'll have to peek into SkinnyKate's diary. We were neck and neck and I bet she's kickin' my butt right now!
Hey Dana,
thanks for stopping in everyday and congrats on gettin' into the size 8's yesterday! You'll be shopping for 6's in no time!
Thanks Paula!! And you will be down that weight in No time!!! Esp. with this challenge.. because if you wind up on my team, you better not be lettin me down!!
big ol hugs to you!! for me...it takes one bad day to screw up what may turn into weeks of bad eating, bad habits...thats how on the edge of weakness I am. Just speaking from past experience...I KNOW me!
What? Do I have to be your drill sargeant again? Nah, its more fun just being your partner in weight loss, really. Now GO GET EM!
Thanks Kate,
I'll be back... just took a little detour I guess. It's only five pounds which is only a couple of weeks. I figure, I can sulk about it and gain more of it back or I can end the pity party now and get back on the wagon.... so here I come.... "Run Forest Run!"
