Okay, I must admit, I've been slacking a little. Didn't do my morning cardio or weight training yesterday BUT I did do 40 minutes of my "house cleaning cardio" (see http://weight-loss.fitness.com/club/2304-your-mission-should-you-choose-accept.html if you're interested) so at least I got something in. I was also about 500 steps short of my daily goal of 10,500 for this week.
FINISHED SLACKING NOW!!! Got a goal to meet and I don't want to be a fat, jiggle a** when I'm standing on that beach saying my vows in a few months! SO... got up and did 25 minutes of morning cardio and upper body weight training. HAD TO GET ON THE SCALE and weighed in at 152.4. Man, I can't wait to get out of the 150's completely! I'll post more later.
Ah you'll def. be out of the 150's completely very shortly Paula!! Keep it up girl! You must have a fabulous metabolism!
Hopefully Kate and I will be tagging along right behind you! I've got 3 more lbs for my birthday goal of a total 5 loss by the 26th! And 3 more lbs for you puts you out of 150's. I think we can swing that in 3 weeks!!!

Heck yeah we can NewLeaf! Let's do it!
Didn't eat the best for dinner cuz Josh and I went out (man I need to grow some willpower when it comes to going out!). Anyway, I'm not going to let that discourage me... I'll be up bright and early working out (as will NewLeaf I'm sure )and trying to eat better tomorrow.
Workout wise, I did my morning cardio (25 minutes) and my weight training, and took over 10,000 steps (should have been 10,500). And honestly, I have found in the past that (for me) making sure my workouts are consistant has more of an effect on my weight loss than my diet does so... as long as the scale keeps moving, I won't sweat the cheats too much. I can always tune up my diet a little later if I need to. So for now, everthing I eat in moderation and no missing the workouts!
exactly! small reachable DOABLE goals! I swear there's nothing better than getting out of one set of numbers(150s for instance) and hitting the next lower group of ten. (140s!!!)
And Id rather mess up some on the eating than miss the workout, because it seems that minor indiscretions are always taken care of with some good hard sweating!
Our bodies are meant to MOVE!!! I have to admit, I CAN eat what I want when I work out, because number one, Im not as hungry anyway, and two, I burn off more easily what I DO eat. Believe me, the secret is definitely the exercise. How many fat marathon runners do YOU know?
Paula, way to go.. you'll have to let me knowhow your morning work out went! I hope to get mine in too, but we'll see with guests here! I def. will do something, even if juts hitting the neighborhood for a walk with my sister and the dogs!
As for the food, if I'm up with my exercise I can maintain pretty well, so no comaplints here. Just have to get the weight down appropriately first!
Thanks for the motivation Newleaf and Skinnykate... I swear sometimes this diary is the only thing that gets my lazy butt out of bed in the morning! Ha!
Headed down to the treadmill now... I'll post again later.
(P.S. Newleaf, miss ya on Yahoo this morning. )
Okay, I'm changing my ticker... something about having 17 pounds to lose is kicking my a** mentally. I'm going to go in 5 pound increments from now on. So as of right now, my goal is to get to 148.
I'm having a crappy day... I'll post later.
i think changing a ticker is a wise choice. this is ninety percent mental anyways. I say do whatever it takes, to get you there! In fact, Ill try to remember to do that as well if need be.
Hello Paulab! I love the way you track your steps. Do you use one of those things that counts them for you? If so, do you find the device to be totally accurate? I've always wondered how those devices "know" when you actually take a step. I think it's great to monitor something like that, you really get a good idea of how much you've moved throughout the day. I need to get one.
