Your doin great!! You'll be hot for your wedding I'm a maid of honor July 2007 and I don't wanna ruin my friends wedding (also on the beach) by being a tub-o-lard we'll all do great!!
Hello Paulab! I love the way you track your steps. Do you use one of those things that counts them for you? If so, do you find the device to be totally accurate? I've always wondered how those devices "know" when you actually take a step. I think it's great to monitor something like that, you really get a good idea of how much you've moved throughout the day. I need to get one.
Thanks JellyBelly! Yes I use a pedometer (doctors orders ) and it does seem to be pretty accurate. However, I think it's because it's probably a little more of an expensive one. I noticed the one I got from McDonalds a while ago, isn't accurate at all.
They really are nice though because I didn't realize how little steps I actually take in a day until I got one. It gives me something to work toward which is nice. Thanks for reading my journal.

Thanks Jess! I truly hope so! My dress will be here on Monday and I know it's too small (wanted to get something to work toward) so I've got to really stay focused on the prize! Thanks for reading my journal! All the support really helps.
You'll be in that dress in no time girly! My rehearsal dinner dress is the same way.. so lets see how nutty we get and who gets there first! Keep it up!
Hey Paula, sounds great to me! I'm going to be pretty tied up this weekend so I wanted to make sure I posted in your journal since I won't catch ya on Yahoo!! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! Call me if you get frustrated at all this weekend!!!
Hey Paula! Haven't seen you post here in a bit! Hope you're able to stay on track this weekend girl!! Thinking of ya!! My company is gone so I'm free as a bird at the moment.. woo back to the exercising!
I'm here NewLeaf, thanks for checking! Just trying to decide what to do about my goals I guess... thinking about taking training and dieting to the next level but don't know if I have the dedication for that yet...
Paula, just do what you think you're best prepared to handle, with wedding planning, school & your own children you've go ta lot on your plate, so don't over do it but, I know you can lose what you want girl!
Why can't we lose weight while we sleep? Wouldn't it be so nice to be able to say, "Gee, I need to lose a few pounds so I'm going to have to go to bed early and sleep in for the next few weeks." Man, I would look so FINE!
Okay, I've decided I'm really not ready to tighten up the diet yet so I'm going to stick to what I've been doing (it's good, just not the "fitness competitor" type of diet I'm used to using to lean out) for now. I figure if I want to be really tight by my wedding, I'll do the fitness competitor thing 8 to 10 weeks out... that still gives me 11-13 weeks to focus more on the training end and see where that gets me. BUT I'm going to definitely increase the cardio and even start to incorporate running (oh, how I hate to run). I'm trying to decide what the best weight training program would be for me because I swear I gain muscle if I even look at a dumbbell and I'm really not interested in adding ANY more muscle to this body.
I've been in a really down mood most of this week and I know why so I'm trying to come out of it and get my head re-focused on this weight loss but it has been hard. To make things worse, found out yesterday that an ex-boyfriend of mine (many years ago), died last Tuesday... kinda messed with my head a little. Didn't find out until the funeral was over so I didn't attend and that bothers me a lot for some reason.
Anyway, I'm just babbling so I'm gonna go.
On the agenda for tomorrow: No less than 11,000 steps, good eating, and 30 minutes of cardio (adding running) and weight training (haven't decided exactly what yet).
Hey Paula, I think you've perked up from what I've heard from you last. Got your msg, early this morning! You are really doing great, and thank you for keeping me posted!! I look forward to bugging you online sometime today as I am back at work!
