Wow, I really haven't posted for a while have I? Thanks NewLeaf and Kate for checking in on me. I will be honest, I've pretty much done nothing the past two weeks.
I got my wedding dress on Friday and it is perfect but I don't look so hot in it... So I'm taking everything up a notch. I've done it before and I know I can do it again! So tomorrow morning, I'll post my weight and measurements and probably a little more about what I'm going to be doing and then I'm "off to the races!"

Kate, let me know what you need help with... I'd love to help.

Alright, here we go.

Couple , or maybe three years ago, I bought a weight bench, and some smaller weights with the smaller bars. One long bar for heavier weights and lifting over my head. My problem was everywhere I looked onlne, I got differing advice. Aarrgggh!

i have since got the weights and bench scattered between 2 places(my cousin wanted to try em, and anyway looong story) needless to say I have a few 20 pound weights, cant find my bars,,etc...I figured its easier to go more simply. I wondered about just maybe buying some small dumbells, that I can add weight to. I dont really feel I need to do lower body, and here's why...

I do hills. I incorporate them in my walks. Nice steep hills, and stairs. I have really great calves. I once saw a show where some dude bought plastic surgery to create 'calves' and thought poor guy, genetics just werent nice to you and you spent a ton of money for something that aint gonna happen otherwise. And see, I noticed you are probably naturally built to show muscles when you use them. Well apparently so am I. I just realize that without cutting the bodyfat, I cant SEE em yet! Except for below the knees. My thighs and hams also get 'cut' looking, as I lose weight because of the climbing I do. I just havent lost enough fat to see them ...YET.

So, I get to thinking... If I lift weight for upper body, and keep losing, surely my arms would become defined. My problem is knowing HOW MUCH to lift, and how many sets, and how many in a set. Could I begin with lifting gallons of water? (Ive always got them around) Should I wait until I get dumbells? They are cheap and I could get them next payday, Im sure.(Thursday probably)

One more thing. I have MMbS..(My mamma's butt syndrome) Flat, wide butt. You on the other hand have NOT er, got that problem! I read that even when genetics are not nice to you, It can still be helped with climbing. Do you think with more hard work, and climbing stairs, etc, that eventually I can 'help' that certain area?

Sorry for the large number of questions, but I wanna know, dangit! Its the last thing Ive put off, and decided not to put it off any longer.

Man I love you Kate and Dana! It's so nice to get on here and see that you two are checking up on me!
Josh has to go to work in a couple of hours so I'm going to go spend some time with him running around and then I'LL BE BACK (Arnold voice) to answer your questions Kate and to post my new AGENDA.
Dana that dress has me so PISSED! There is NO WAY I'm standing on the beach looking like that! NO WAY!!!!!
I'll be back in a little bit... Kate, I think I've got a solution for you that's cheap and challenging.... back later.

Okay... there is only one way I'm going to look good enough to wear my wedding dress and that's by busting my butt and sacrificing for the next few months. It will all be worth it when I walk down that isle, lean and toned and tight!

To Dana and Kate, I know you have goals of your own to achieve and I will support you in those completely BUT I'm asking both of you not to cut me any slack these next couple of months! Do not accept any excuses from me! I expect you two to ride me like a couple of power hungry drill sergeants!

I am counting tomorrow as DAY ONE. I can't recall how many times I've started at DAY ONE but I vow never to start at DAY ONE again, when it comes to getting this weight off!

I'm posting my measurements and my weight tonight and what I'll be doing tomorrow as far as exercise and diet. I am not going to weigh or measure myself again for six weeks because I have decided that I could care less if I weigh 400 pounds as long as that dress looks good on me! I have a goal... one goal... and that's to look amazing on my wedding day! Not okay, not average... JAW DROPPING AMAZING!
WEIGHT: 154 lbs
MEASUREMENTS:
  • Neck: 14
  • Chest: 39
  • Ribs: 34.5
  • Waist: 33
  • Abs: 33
  • Hips: 38.5
  • Left Thigh: 23.25
  • Right Thigh: 23.50
  • Left Calf: 17
  • Right Calf: 17
  • Left Bicep: 12
  • Right Bicep: 12
  • Left Forearm: 10.5
  • Right Forearm: 10.5
TOTAL INCHES: 317.75

Tomorrow's Schedule: Morning cardio followed by upper body weight training Bonus: Evening cardio
Diet Plan: Breakfast- eggs and yogurt; Snack- Protein Shake, apple; Lunch- Tuna, wheat bread; Snack- Protein Shake, artichoke; Dinner- Cottage cheese and salad.
Water:77 ounces

Okay here we go... day one.

Day One

Thanks Dana! Man, I wish I could hire the two of you for a few weeks! LOL!

I got up and did my cardio this morning (30 minutes). I'll have to do my weight training a little later today cuz I had to help my son get ready for a ski trip and Josh off to the airport so I didn't have time this morning.

Walked right past the scale on my way to the shower and didn't even want to stand on it (HUGE accomplishment for me!). I'm firm about not getting on that evil little thing until at least six weeks from now... my goal is to look great in that dress... period!

Had 3 boiled eggs (2 yolks) and yogurt for breakfast- getting ready to have a protein shake and an apple.

Well, off to teach the little ones... be back later.
