We can do this together, I'm not going to leave ya. Plus Jesse will be back soon to show us some love.
Have fun in Vegas! I don't gamble much either, I allow myself to blow around $50-$100 only, just for the fun of the slots. I'm glad I'm not one of those people who can't stop. I too know when to say when. Surely not appropriate for an anniversary, but the Chippendales show is off the hook!! Yeow baby!
There is so much to do there, can't wait to see where you two end up. |

How is that video going? I've been contemplating getting something. I'm so out of shape though and I don't know if I'd just get discouraged lol
Keep up the great work. Just reading about it makes me more motivated. I've also been doing the protein shake w/ half or less of a meal a night. I think it works good. I feel less hungry than if I just ate a whole meal. But I might switch it to lunches and see if that works too

Probably something I have to save for a girls night out but good to know for the future! ha ha!
So I've come to the conclusion that if my computer were hooked up to say a recumbent bike, and only stayed on if I pedaled, I would lose so much weight! I have been on this forum for the past two hours... that would have been some GREAT CARDIO! |

I feel less hungry than if I just ate a whole meal. But I might switch it to lunches and see if that works too | Hey girl, thanks for stoppin' by! I am really proud of the whole McDonald's thing! YOU could do it too! You just have to tell yourself, "It's not like I'll NEVER eat McDonald's again... JUST NOT TODAY." Seriously, it works for me... plus I'm tired of how this weight affects mine and my family's lives. There are so many things I want to do that I don't do simply because I'm not happy with my body. I KNOW I'm not super big or anything BUT I'm big enough that it bother's ME and I just don't want to be this way anymore. The next time you have the choice to eat healthy or bad... choose healthy and see how good it makes you feel... it's liberating.
As for the tummy tuck, do you think you'll need one? Maybe you'll lose it all with diet and exercise? If not, and a tummy tuck is what you need, I say GO FOR IT! Just make sure you've done your homework and lost your extra weight first so you can get the best results.
Videos? Do you mean the Jillian videos? That's actually MissJellyBelly who's got those... my lazy but has done hardly any working out recently. :/ Definitely something I need to add into the equation.
I'm glad I could motivate you a little... protein shakes at night are really good! I'm not sure what you're eating for dinner right now but I would suggest cutting out the starchy carbs all together and just having protein and veggies. I did that for my wedding and I lost weight easily. Protein shakes are great anytime you can't (or don't want to) eat "real" food but you don't want to blow your diet. |

Rep Power: 7 | | Oh I thought it was you who had the six-week body makeover.
I know what you mean about being on here instead of working out. I could have been doing ballet with my kids who are dancing in front of Swan Lake. I'm going to go join them lol. Good luck getting your cardio in today |

| Ha ha! working out with the kids is the best! Mine bought me a bike for Mother's Day... which reminds me, I've only been on it once since then. :/ Guess I know what I'll be doing for cardio today! Have fun with the kiddos and I'll ttyl. |

Rep Power: 19 | | Hello Paula, I'm MissJellyBelly's twin sister. Wanted to pop in and give you some kudos and support. Way to go on passing on the Mickey D's. I don't know how you could smell the fries and not eat them. There was a time when I was eating fast food for dinner 3-5 times a week...it became a way of life for me. Getting off work late and then being too exhausted to even think about cooking much less pop a microwave meal in. It's been a few months now that I have cut out fast food out of my diet. I expected my weight to drop like crazy but no it has not...I have been losing weight slowly but it does come down to consistency and knowing (like you said) that the Mc Donald's will always be there in the future.
My sis and I have Jillian's DVD series and I bought her "Making the Cut" book which has a 30 day program for losing weight and getting healthy. I didn't realize when I ordered the DVD's and the book that the book has circuit training routines in the back with pictures and instructions on how to do each exercise. I have not even watched the DVD's yet cuz the routine in the book kicks my ass. If you want a great workout she is no joke. The exercises are difficult but I love it. Her diet plan is strict and I can't seem to stick to it yet...she asks you to cut out alcohol for 30 days and I have not been able to do that yet. LOL
Good luck to you on your weight loss journey And...have fun in Sin City! |

That is so crazy your in Layton! You are my neighbor Are you a born and raised Utahn or a transport? I've lived in the SLC valley my whole life... Right now I'm in Midvale but grew up in Cottonwood Heights... That's so sweet of you kids to get you a bike for Mother's Day, it will be the gift that keeps on giving. I gotta think of something to get for my dad for Father's Day coming up... He likes golf and the Oyster Bar, so probably something along those lines...
Have a great day,

I've read a lot about you in MJ's diary and actually skimmed through yours the other day; thanks for stopping by! Isn't it crazy how easily we get sucked into eating like that because it's convenient? I was actually eating fast food meals SEVERAL times a day! I would grab something on my way to work, something when I got off and grab fast food for the family for dinner. I SHOULD be A LOT bigger than I am! LOL Quote: |

| I bet she is tough! I might have to look into ordering her stuff. You know another great series is the Cardio Blast series on FIT TV. I have several episodes saved to my DVR and that girl kicks butt! I've never been too big on alcohol cuz I've never liked the taste. Pop is my downfall (although I haven't had any since Tuesday and I'm doing fine!)[/quote]
Thanks for stoppin' by! I'm off to visit your diary. |

I hear ya on the Father's Day thing... My problem is my husband. I NEVER know what to get him. :/ |

Rep Power: 26 | | | Day 4- Week 1- 6 Week Body Makeover Updated my food intake for yesterday (post# 598). I actually probably didn't eat enough because I got so busy cleaning my house that I just wanted to get that done. By the time I was finished, I felt like it was too late so I just had a bag of Edemame.
Weighed in this morning... 157.8 That's a little over 4 pounds since Wednesday. I know some critics out there might say that's too much too fast but, at this point, I don't care. I figure I'm eating healthy (haven't even incorporated exercise yet) and if my body wants to lose the weight that fast, so be it. It's keeping me motivated to keep eating this way that's for sure!
Meal One
Protein Shake
Oatmeal
1/2 Apple
Meal Two
Tuna
Wheat Thins
Mayo
Meal Three
Snack Wrap (Minus the chicken lol. See post #616)
32 oz coke (cheat)
Didn't eat enough today. Was out and about and didn't have good choices and was too afraid to mess up. :/ Weight Tracker
Staring Weight = 162
Current Weight = 157.8 Goal Weight = 130 Weight Loss So Far = 4.2
13% towards goal

Ok- I say one of these days we plan a girls night out trip to Vegas, we can invite our friends, and some of the friends we've met on the forum. We'll stop by the chippendales to objectify some men for an hour and then go out dancing! whoo hoo!
I don't know when Jesse is getting back, seems like she should have been back by now. I thought it was a short trip, but I'm not sure. She'll pop up soon.
I know what you mean about computer time spent. It is really tough to justify sitting on the computer for hours on end when you have a to do list a mile long, at least I do. I make time for it though, but you're right, if you could do both at once, that would rock. I once used a machine at a gym that did have touch screen internet on the bike. There you go! Get one of those and you'll be set! lol |

I remember when life wasnt so busy and a few hours wasn't much, but nowadays you have to practically live on a schedule to fit everything in. Its nuts!
I would be thin by now if I spent as much time exercising as I do on the computer. Luckily there is a TV in front of the elliptical with my tivo'd shows. That makes it easy to watch my shows while I work out. Saves some time. |

Rep Power: 23 | | LOL, that is too funny what you say about O-town, and oh so true. My friend just moved up there a couple of months ago because her boyfriend lives up there and she wanted to go live with him... She had lived in the valley her whole life (she is 28) and I think is experiencing a little bit of culture shock... She wants me and our other friend to come up and visit for the night sometime. She keeps telling me we can go to "The Outlaw"...hehe.
I'm still brainstorming on what to get my dad for F-day... I usually end up giving him a giftcard but that is beginning to feel kind of old... It sucks because if I get him clothes or cologne he won't wear it or he hates it. You would think a man with a gay son who is supposed to have excellent taste (LOL) would like or take my word for it on what I pick out for him... Jk, I still love him and if that means me just footing the bill for him to go have a nice dinner with his wife then that works for me
Great news on your weight loss. Your off to a great start! I love edamame too. I need to remember to pick some up from Costco next time I go...
Have a great weekend,
