Day 5- Week 1- 6 Week Body Makeover

Another pound down!
Yesterday was a little bit of a test... I was out and about shopping with the kiddos and visiting family so I didn't have the best food choices. Went to McDonald's. I decided I would just have a Snack Wrap and enjoy a Coke. Well, about half way through my snack wrap, I realized there was NO MEAT in it! I couldn't understand how one could forget the chicken in a snack wrap! tortilla... sauce... lettuce... cheese... chicken... pretty simple it seems but apparently not for this particular McDonald's! So after I finished off my snack wrap I realized the chicken was in fact in the bag! LMAO! It had fallen out... Needless to say, I can't stand grilled chicken without something disguising the texture so I didn't eat it... Later that day I was at the in-laws and everyone was eating nachos... I didn't give in... I didn't eat enough yesterday but I didn't eat bad either... That leaves room for today if I want to just have a full on cheat meal.

I'm really focusing on "Just for today." Just for today I won't eat (insert food). If I REALLY want it tomorrow, it will still be there and I can eat it then... so far, I haven't given in and I'm loving myself for DOIN' IT!

Haven't eaten yet today... will update my food later.

I'm still brainstorming on what to get my dad for F-day... I usually end up giving him a giftcard but that is beginning to feel kind of old... It sucks because if I get him clothes or cologne he won't wear it or he hates it. You would think a man with a gay son who is supposed to have excellent taste (LOL) would like or take my word for it on what I pick out for him... Jk,
LMAO! You would think lol! Maybe I should have you go shopping for my hubby! I'm sure you could pick him out some great stuff! He has great style, just hates spending money on himself so there is NOTHING new in his closet! When I met him, the man had more shoes and clothes than most women!

Quote:
I still love him and if that means me just footing the bill for him to go have a nice dinner with his wife then that works for me
THAT'S a GREAT IDEA!

Great news on your weight loss. Your off to a great start! I love edamame too. I need to remember to pick some up from Costco next time I go...
Thanks! You can also get it at Albertson's and now at Wal-mart Market! It comes in the little 5 minute steamer bags!

Day 6- Week One- 6 week bBody Makeover

Yesterday ended up being my cheat day... didn't really follow a meal schedule, just kinda snacked all day.
Didn't eat breakfast. For lunch I had a turkey cheese melt and some fries and a coke. Later I had a little popcorn, another coke and a couple cookies. For dinner I had a bowl of fruity pebbles lol.

It's crazy how that food messed with my body! I actually had acid reflux last night which I haven't had since I started the 6 week body makeover. Plus this morning my stomach wasn't very happy lol. I'm excited to get back on the diet.

Weight this morning... 156.2, so down about a half pound from yesterday. I'm hoping to lose six pounds this week so that when I go to Vegas with my hubby this weekend, I will be an even 150.

Hope everyone has a great week!

You are on FIRE. Way to drop that weight and make it look easy. I wouldn't worry about the weight coming off too fast...you're body will find a way to adjust and so I'm sure you are fine. Lord knows there are times when no weight wants to come off so enjoy the times of plenty!

I'm glad we are at similar weights. That will be great to shrink down together. I was 153.8lbs this Saturday but after a weekend of eating and drinking way too much I jumped back up a few. I'll update my ticker based on tomorrow's weight. Right now I need to flush out the excess water.

Keep up the awesome work and enjoy yourself in Vegas!!

I would have noticed the missing meat after the first bite. That is hilarious! Way to dodge the nachos girl!

Congrats on the 1 pound. You are going to kick butt this week! 6 pounds would be amazing! You can do it!!

I read an earlier post of yours of how you weren't exercising yet but you are eating healthy foods and losing weight fast...and how you didn't care....and that's awesome. I'm with you on that!!

After looking at those darn before and after pictures, i think for one member (hocuspocus?) she didn't even start with exercising! She just decreased portions and calories!

ah-hah moment for me...hehehe. Thanks for all the love

I hope this week is a slam-dunk anddddd enjoy Vegas. I've gone to Vegas a few times...well, because my dad lives out there...anyways, i KNOW you'll have a good time! pictures? pictures!

Girl! Our vegas idea is taking off!! I posted something in my thread about our idea and now we have 4 rsvps. This is going to be so much fun!!!!! OMG. Where is Jess! She has to be there!!

We need to set the date!

We also need to see if we need to make restrictions. Like I'm not inviting "minors" for obvious reasons. That means no kids on this trip. I don't think that will be a problem, do you?

Also, do you think it is ok if people bring people outside the forum? I want this to be a bonding experience for us all, but don't want to be too strict. I just don't want any jealous boyfriends, husbands, wifes, or girlfriends raining on our parade, cuz it will be time to celebrate our 6 months of weight loss!

that is so neat that one day off and you're excited to get back to eating right. I guess reflux is an extra motivator. Hope you're feeling better today

Well I knew there was SOMETHING wrong with it lol... it seems so small!
To be honest, right now, it seems so easy. I'm just so motivated to get the weight off and get on with my life that I'm willing to do it... and I'm actually enjoy the "somewhat empty belly" feeling. It feels good to not be so weighed down with food all the time! Plus I THINK I'm carb sensitive cuz I've noticed my stomach is a lot flatter when i eat this way.

It seems to be working Laura and it's good cuz it's not overwhelming. I figure when my weight loss slows, I will start to incorporate some exercise but until then... one thing at a time, one day at a time.

I agree... I think it should just be adults for sure...

I agree. I don't want us all to show up with other people and then not get to know each other ya know? But we don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable either... Do you think significant others coming or not coming would cause the problems?

I know what you mean!! I feel better too when I'm not stuffed like a turkey at thanksgiving.

I had the empty feeling too a few times last week, I felt much cleaner and leaner and less weighed down.

Thanks hun! It wasn't anything a Tums couldn't take care of but it's crazy how my stomach so quickly turned against those foods! I'm tellin' ya, just testing myself to see if I can go one more day eating healthy and then seeing the results is keepin' me moving! I'm so excited to get this weight off! I can't wait for the "new" life ahead! No more worrying about people seeing me in a bathing suit or shorts... just enjoying my kids and my husband and my life... that's the way to spend it! No food is worth sacrificing those moments.
