Rep Power: 5 | | | Scoobee's Weight Loss Journey Where to begin??? How about - hi...I'm a 45 yr old female from Ohio. I've been obese since early childhood. Lost & gained enough weight for a small country. Hit my goal a couple times only to lose it (no pun intended) I did make it to goal this past August and since have had many personal things happen to get me way off track. Regained about 20 pounds.
Not giving up. Never. I just need to get back there and maintain it this time. I have a rather lengthy (yikes - like 28 pages!) diary on another site that I began 2 years ago, but since that site may be closing I figured it would be a good idea to start one here. Having a daily diary seems the only way to hold myself accountable.
Currently, I count calories...exercise, the usual stuff. For cardio I like to use the elliptical, bike, or dvds (Turbo Jam and Tae Bo are faves) at home. On alternate days I go to Curves to get in some circuit training.
I haven't had a chance to do any reading here yet; I thought I'd at least introduce myself first and then go dive in. Looking forward to meeting you all! |

Rep Power: 15 | | Welcome again! I just posted in your into thread haha. Congrats on getting going on your diary. I'll pop in and check on how you're doing every time and again.
What are you aiming for as far as calories? And you have an elliptical at home!! Awesome! |

Rep Power: 5 | | Thanks RadiantPebble for your welcome! I appreciate it - I was hoping this was a friendly place!
As far as calorie intake goes, right now I'm staying around 1400-1500. After that recent weight gain, I'm finding it harder to cut. Sunday Calories:1485 Exercise:Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1 dvd (43 min) |

Rep Power: 5 | | | Wow - is this a busy forum or what? That's great! I started my diary last night and find myself on page 3 now. I was hoping to find a place that was active and supportive - this could be really cool. I'm going to try to get some reading in of other diaries later this evening - just heading out the door to get a workout...
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Rep Power: 5 | | Ok, so I DIDN'T head out the door to workout. Changed my mind. I really wanted to head over to Curves, but I was still a bit sore from the Turbo Jam dvd so I stayed home and got my workout in.
A little too high in calories, I sooo blame it on TTOTM.
More later... Monday Calories:1635 Exercise:Walk Away the Pounds 4 mile walk dvd (57 min) |

Rep Power: 5 | | Hi RP - oh yeah, variety is really key for me. I work hard at mixing things up to just beat the ole boredom thing...yawn.
No workout to report today. My bad. Got busy, then had to get groceries, ended up eating dinner at 10:30 pm. Nice. I've got more excuses if you want. Calories right now at 1475...unless I eat that sugar free chocolate pudding that's calling my name right now... |

I just saw your intro - I am so excited you found your way over!
Like I replied in your intro thread, I am thrilled to find a place like this that has such active diaries, but sooo sad at the prospect of losing our precious site. My gosh, I have 2 years of stuff there.
But, who knows...maybe things will still work out, but if not...maybe all of us can still stay in touch over here? I am pretty sure Hisgal will come...she said she registered here but hasn't had time to check it out yet.
Anyway - great to see ya over here!

Rep Power: 5 | | And I actually went to bed and never did have that pudding.
Scale holding steady the last couple days @ 154.5 which is awesome considering I am right in the middle of TTOTM. I haven't changed my ticker yet because I am a Saturday weigh-in person. Sounds silly, I know. But it's the only day that truly 'counts' for me so I will wait and see what the evil scale has in store then.
Have to run some errands...and MUST do some form of exercise today!! |

Rep Power: 5 | | Ha, I think it is good to have designated days to weigh your self. I am actually trying to find a good plan to work out for me and my hectic schedule. At least you did something the other day. I am sure you will get something in today. And hey every pound counts! |

Rep Power: 5 | | Wow - thanks again for the welcomes...you are making me feel right at home!
I just lost a HUGE long post...I took a call on my cell, then finished the post and didn't realize you must get logged off after a few. Oh well, it was a bunch of rambling anyway...I felt the urge to tell a bit more about myself. Maybe I'll get into it again some other time. Bummer.
Got my workout in today - yay! I will post exercise & calories later this evening - I am SO hungry right now!!! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
