HELLO!

As I was saying earlier, I was SUPER tired today. I don't know what hit me. I could barely get out of bed, I made breakfast and then stretched for an hour. After all of that nonsense, I did laundry for three hours. Yuck. But the cool thing about it was I went to my guy friends' house to do laundry because they have a washer and dryer FOR FREE! BUT, while there, I played their WII. OMG so fun! I played tennis and was so bad at it. haha Strange because I'm a good tennis player, I just couldn't figure out how to hit the ball on time.

After that, it was around two so I applied for some more jobs, ate lunch, read a book and took a nap. hahaha Lap of luxury. I think I'm going to go for a walk. I want to go work out, but I also don't want to do too much since I am sick and I worked out yesterday. A light walk will do.

I hope everyone had a great day and I'll try to check up with everyone later tonight!!!! OMG Biggest Loser! Orange falling below the yellow line!?! I couldn't believe it! TTYL!

Breakfast: english muffin and poached egg
Lunch: celery and honey nut cheerios and a glass of milk
Dinner: potato with some garlic mashed with butter, broccoli, and milk.

Hey everyone! This weekend was great, and so not relaxing. Well maybe yesterday but today and Friday were working hard days!

On Friday I was nonstop. I woke up early, applied for some jobs and then went and worked out. I have started over my Couch to 5K running program at square one, and have really challenged myself with week one. This was my second day of running (Weds was my first) and it was pretty tough. I was fatigued and it was a real burn at the end. I did some more weights:
Deadlifts 2x15 35 lbs
Alternating Sets:
Dumbbell Shoulder Press 2x15 5 lbs
Wide-Grip Lateral Pulldown 2x15 45 lbs
Alternating Sets:
Lunges with medicine ball twist 2x15 ea leg 8kg
Swiss Ball Crunch 2x15

After working out my friend and I went to the Warhol Exhibit that is in Columbus and then I had my exit interview!

I told my HR person everything. I didn't name names, but I made it obvious my main problem was with the director with everything that has been going on. She caught my drift that it had to be anonymous and there was no way it could be traced back to me since she is VERY influential in the field of medicine I wish to enter. So influential and so bitter. My director once said that she did everything in her power so this one former employee couldn't get a job somewhere because he was "ill suited" for it. She disgusts me. Anybitchy, the HR person said that there has been concerns with my lab because I am the 6th person to have quit or been fired in a one year period with the same job title from the same lab. Hmmmm, I thought I was the only one there...guess they lied to me. I felt great leaving and the HR person was an amazing person. She told me how articulate I was and how helpful I would be for the future of the research institute. You could tell she has wanted something to get done about what has been going on under this woman for awhile. I was just glad to end that chapter of my life in a healthy manner.

After the interview I had lunch. Grilled fish, broccoli, and rice. My mother and her interior design/artist friend came down to put up my drapes in my apartment. We rearranged my new place and my mom's friend also gave me some new artwork that she was going to donate to a charity but thought I might need it. My apartment is AWESOME now. So cute and so much more fun. I love it. They didn't leave until 9 pm so straight from them leaving I went out with my friends. We first went to a friend's house where I proceeded to devour a whole bottle of champagne. I'm so disgusted with myself.

On Saturday I lounged around and did really nothing. I was hungover haha. I had an alright day eating wise, and was just at my max calorie total for the day.

Today, I woke up and took charge! haha After a whole Saturday of laying around I went to the gym. Also I walked to and from the gym everytime I go which ends up equaling 3.2 miles. I did Day 3 of Week One of the Couch to 5K and also:
Squats 2x15 10 lbs
Alternating Sets:
Push Up 2x15 BW
Seated Row 2x15 45 lbs
Alternating Sets:
Step Ups 2x15 ea leg 5 lbs each arm
Prone Jackknife 2x15 BW
Sit Ups on the Incline 2x15

For food I have had a poached egg, English Muffin, and LOTS OF WATER! I'm going to flush out the lazy!!!

Well, that is up for me. I'll try to see what everyone else is up to! Have a great Sunday!

6TH PERSON! Wow. If that isn't a sign that its the DIRECTOR and NOT the employee, I don't know what is. I'm glad its over for you, and I'm also happy to hear that the hr director was good to ya- seems like higher ups tend to not advocate for the employees anymore, so long as it saves their own asses.
Don't fret bout the champagne- we alllll need a bottle of good booze now and then And, KILLER job on the workout! Damn. Amazing!

I'm so glad your exit interview went good and you found that out. That has to make you feel better and give you some closure I mean, you know it wasn't your fault but then hearing about 6 other people should really keep you from having any doubts.

Anyway glad you're out of there and it's nice to see you posting again more often here So how's everything else goin? I mean in general, cuz it's obvious you're kickin but on your workouts, lol.

Thank you! I know, I wish I could post more! Sometimes I either forget or I'm too busy to post. Lately, I have been running around applying for jobs and trying to get a job. It is so stressful, and not to mention hard to squeeze in workouts. Today I wasn't feeling motivated to work out so I came on here and decided to post a bit before walking to the gym and getting it done! Thanks again!!!

So today I'm not feeling that motivated. I don't know what my deal is. I've been doing so well for the past couple of days. Monday was a big day for me. I decided to get things done, so I woke up early applied for 2.2 billion jobs and then walked to the library. Now for me, the walk to the library was 2.5 miles away, through downtown, so it was a workout in itself! I then walked back from the library to the gym, to total 6 miles. At the gym, I did about 15 minutes on the elliptical when I realized I was dog tired and was just going to lift weights and call it a day. I followed the same plan from Friday and added in some more core exercises. It really was a good workout. I ended up being at the gym an hour, which is less than I'm usually there, but I still felt good. Foodwise, below is what I ate on Monday:

HoneyNut Cheerios + 1/2 c skim milk
SNACK: plum
Trail bologna sandwich with light mayo and grapes
Dinner: Chicken in butter and spices. Now don't think it was alot of butter, I made enough for 5 meal's and used only 3 tbsp. butter TOTAL. I mostly depended on spices and onion and potatoes to make the meal healthier!
1 large glass milk

On Tuesday, I had scheduled a day off. So I really didn't do anything, and I was still tired from walking over 6 miles the day before. I slept in late (9:30AM haha) and lounged around all day, reading and looking for jobs. I am also a mentor in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Project Mentor program, and yesterday was my first day at the middle school where I'll be mentoring! All of the mentors got a tour and some more information about the school, and next Tuesday is our big day where we get to meet the mentees! I'm so excited! Below is what I ate:

Breakfast: 1.5c skim milk + 1 scoop protein
Lunch: 1 oz potato chips + 1.25 oz Italian Bread + 2 oz leftover chicken + 1 tsp light mayo
Snack: 1 orange + 1 fiber one bar
Dinner: leftovers from the night before
Dessert: 3 gingersnaps and 1 tsp nutella

So today I have had a slow starting day. Although I did apply for one job, go me, it is becoming harder to find more jobs to apply to. I'm going to go workout and do the same workout as Sunday including the Couch to 5K Day One of Week 2. Today was weigh in day and my big number is 190.0. I'm never going to leave the 190's. No matter what I'm stuck!!!!!!!! Hopefully this week I will leave it and move on to greener pastures (180's). Below is what I have eaten so far today:

Breakfast: poached egg + English Muffin
Snack: Fiberone bar

So I'm off to the gym. This weekend I have pledged to myself NOT to drink to get down into the 180s!! So fingers crossed! I will check in on everyone else later after my workout! Have a good afternoon.

Came by to say hi and check to see how you're doin...hopefully better than Wednesday as far as bein tired. And don't stress about the job search. You've done so much leg work in such a short amount of time and companies always drag their feet calling people in for interviews. The calls will start coming in soon and even after you get a job you're going to have your phone gettin blowed up with more offers, it always works that way, lol. Have any fun plans for the weekend?

I HOPE! hahaha that would be wonderful!

This weekend was a blast, it was one of my best friend's birthday and I had a party at my apartment then we went downtown. I had to clean all day Thursday and all day Friday (it was a mess), buy clothes (something I had been putting off), buy groceries, and run errands. On top of all of that I worked out every day this weekend and Thursday and Friday! I am beat! It has been nonstop, that is why I haven't posted! AH! hahaha nonstop!

I just had a great day too. My friend ran the Columbus Marathon, so I was outside cheering her on all morning. Luckily my apartment was marathon central because they ran by on both sides of my apartment, I was at mile markers 13 and 25. It was pretty inspiring seeing all of those people run and I then went to the gym for 2 hours tonight and kicked my ass but I feel great!!

Can't talk too much but I hope everyone had a great weekend and will have a good week!

Wow, your apt really WAS marathon central, haha! I think I've said it somewhere before- Montana is NOT a big marathon state. They have like two or three short marathons a year, and thats really it, and ya never hear about them until its over... eh. Whats the point? Not like I'M gonna do it! lol.
Great job on the workouts all weekend, I was a lazy asshole alllll weekend. Shoulda worked out, just earned my days off and once you have that mindset, its hard to make yourself think otherwise! Have a great day tomorrow

Thanks! I've only been to Athens once, for Halloween at Ohio University. It is like party central there, I don't think those kids were in school at all! haha

I hope you're having a good week!

UGH don't get me started on being a lazy asshole, yesterday was my DAY for laziness. That's crazy about Montana not having that many marathons, it is such a outdoorsy state I thought. Columbus Ohio has marathons at least once a month in summer and then a couple throughout the year. This was the big one for everyone to qualify for Boston. Those people are crazy, but the greatest ones are the ones at the very end dragging ass just to make it. I would be them. My friend averaged a 8 minute mile throughout the whole thing and qualified for Boston. She was like in the top 300 females. NUTS. She is so fit it makes me so angry. She'll get up and just run a 25 K, go to class, go to work, and then go out at night and still be 110 lbs. ARGH I wish it was that simple for me!!!!!!
