You are such a flatterer!!! hahahaha Thanks so much, I work REALLY hard to do what I do and hopefully it will pay off soon. I realized why I wasn't losing weight, I wasn't eating enough calories. I increased from 1300 to 1450, and hopefully I'll see the results this coming week.
You are the best thanks for coming in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!! I had a great, long day today. I got up at 5 AM for my spinning class at 6 AM and rocked it. It was great to sweat it all out so early. I think I wake up around 6:45 in that class so I really don't realize that I was working so hard until then hahaha.
After workout, I went to my 8:30 contemporary African art class which is so cool and interesting. Then I went home, read for my classes, and took a much needed nap. Later, I went to the art museum for my museum studies class and walked around for around 2 hours. It was so relaxing and cathartic to be on my own in a quiet setting and just think.
Ahhh.
So I'm exhausted. My best friend and I ate a healthy dinner (salad with grilled chicken) and watched the biggest loser. OMG. OMG. Why is everyone picking on Tara!?!?!? I love Tara, that girl is awesome. She does need to calm down a bit, but I love her. I love her and that blueberry Kristen. Kristen kills me. Love her.
Below is my food. Sorry I'm not too interesting tonight, major long day. Hope everyone is doing well!!!
Breakfast: 2 slices 35 cal toast with 1/4 serving I can't believe it's not butter
Snack: Myoplex Lite
Lunch: Carrots, fiber one bar, whole wheat pita with sliced ham
Dinner: salad with grilled chicken and veggies, lite n fit yogurt, soy milk, 4 gingersnaps, an orange

I love getting sweaty in the mornings Glad you rocked your am workout! Thanks for being sweet, take care! Valerie
Thanks! Yeah my AM workouts totally make a difference for the entire day. I feel like I accomplish more in the mornings too. Plus, spinning is so much easier when you are still half asleep! hahaha
Thanks!

I just got back from my Detroit trip on Sunday evening, so I'm sorry I didn't stop by! We had a great time, and it was VERY easy to be healthy. On the trip up, we stopped for dinner at McDonald's. I just had the fish on a bed of lettuce and a small fry, which ended up being on 350 some calories. Sure, I drank A LOT but I also was eating very healthy. When I cam back I was down to 185. However, I'm sick as a dog. Or just exhausted. I don't know which.
I worked out yesterday and today, both days doing the 6 AM spin class, and then working out with weights for 45 minutes after.
Alright my computer is beeping that I am running out of batteries. So i'll come in tomorrow! BYEEEEEEEE

You should definitely do it! Spin class is amazing, and hopefully it will help me break through the plateau I seem to be having right now!!
hahahah I love how you are encouraging! I need to be around more but school is REALLY demanding along with two jobs. I feel like the only free time I have for myself is spent sleeping!!!!!

Yeah I was up for the game, as well as seeing my guy friends. I really wish a big ten school would have won, just to shut up everyone but it is what it is. I just hate SEC schools. I love sports, but football is my main one, so I wasn't too bummed!

I'm sorry I haven't been around, as I mentioned earlier I am super busy. I am working two jobs, and going to school for 20 hours as well as trying to work out as much as I can. It is exhausting! Today is my first Friday since December where I haven't worked or gone to school or volunteered! SO BUSY!!
Well a refresher of my life is that I have been going to my 6 AM spin class on Tuesday and Thursdays like clockwork. However, this week it has been hard to work out because of how busy I have been. On Wednesday I did nothing but walking, and then today I'm going to try to make it to the gym, but I have to go onto campus and write a paper (rough draft), talk to the registrar, and then talk to financial aid. AHHHH Not to mention I slept in until 11:30. I needed it though. It was great. Tonight I'm meeting two of my guy friends for happy hour (I might drink a soda water with limes). Then tomorrow, I have to work at the gallery from 11-7, then drive back home to Canton for Easter. I wish it wasn't Easter and I could just catch up on work on Sunday, but c'est la vie. I also have a paper due Monday, Tuesday and then a midterm on Tuesday. SO I'M PACKED!!!
Can you tell I'm stressed out???
To top it off I am plateauing. I can't seem to break through. I have been so great on my diet, and I still hover around 186. I CANNOT BREAK IT!!!! I think the next week I'm just going to buckle down and really nail it. No more eating out (although every time I eat out I make the best decisions possible with the calories I know are in it, no butter no nothing). I'm going to post a Jillian Michaels article about plateaus so hopefully that can help out some.
Besides all of that business, I want to check in here more, but it is so difficult. Hopefully because I'm writing papers, I can come back more often.
Below is my food. Have a good day!
Brunch: Tuna salad with a 100 cal pita + 2 thin mints (80 calories)

There is nothing more discouraging than stepping on the scale after a week of diligent dieting and grueling workouts and not seeing any drop in the number. The plateau is a common problem among dieters and can typically be waited out, but there are measures you can take to keep your metabolism fired up even as you reduce your caloric intake.
The best way to break a plateau is to keep your salt intake below 2,000 milligrams a day and drink lots of water. Make sure you're not eating any processed carbs, period. That's right — no chips, sugar, white flour, and so on. And hit the gym hard! The boost in exercise will make your body swell and hold fluids for a few days, but after a week you should see the benefits on the scale.
You can also try playing around with your caloric intake a bit, varying it from day to day throughout the week while keeping the same weekly total. The body can't slow its metabolism to adjust to a reduced caloric intake if the intake isn't fixed from one day to the next. For instance, to bust my plateau, I might have 1,200 calories on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and then eat 1,500 calories on Tuesday, 1,600 on Thursday, 1,400 on Saturday, and 1,700 on Sunday. Get it?
The plateau effect can sometimes simply be a matter of flagging resolve. If mixing up your caloric intake just isn't working, make sure you're not slipping up on your diet or slacking off in your workouts. I'm serious; it happens.
As with any program, there will be highs and lows, but stay with it. Your body is trying to adjust to the weight loss. Don't get scared or discouraged. Just be patient and know that you are worth it!

I just wanted to do a quick update. I am going to go out of town for a conference and to visit friends in NYC, but as soon as I'm back I'll be BACK. hahaha
I hope everyone is doing well. I am pausing this week on my plan, and hoping when I hop back on after my trip I will be able to go over my plateau hurdle!

hey Bucks,
nice to see you are still hanging in there! You seem to have done really well, plateau ad all. i get plateaus every 10 pounds about (I had one at 145 and another at 135...) and they are always really frustrating. Currently I am mantaining which means being on a plateau not doing anything and still kind of hoping the weight will go down ! but now I have decided to go back to actually losing!
I may be starting another new life in october (moving to barcelona possibly) and I want to start it skinny! I still want to be a dance teacher on the side and i hope if I am skinny enough I might be able to make that dream come true (yeah I will also need to start training and dancing again, but I dance better the smaller I am, because I feel less self conscious).
I am glad you still have 2 jobs, not because I want you to be stressed but with the crisis a lot of people are without jobs and it is heartbrfeaking to watch.
I hope you'll be back from NYC soon!
Lots of love, Camy
