That's just sad...

Love handles are relentless! I hate when I sit down and I have rolls! I saw a picture of me the other day of me sitting....It made me sad!

BTW, Outback Aussie Cheese fries were the number one at 2,900 calories.
I wish we had a Jamba Juice here! When I lived in Oklahoma for a year I would go and get a smoothie from there once in awhile. They were so fresh tasting. The one that I went to this past week isn't all that great. At least I haven't tried one that I really enjoy. They have a weird after taste and they don't taste fresh. I think I'll do better at just making my own. Oh, and those cheese fries are crazy!!!!

I am back as well. It's a long story so you'll just have to pop over to my diary to catch it up as I don't want to clutter your diary with all my troubles.
What a shake you had!!!!
Reminds me of a part in a movie that I saw once. I think it was Mean Girls. Anyway one girl befriended this girl only to knock her down. If you know what I mean. Anyway she was feeding this girl these protein bars telling her that they were weight-loss bars when they were in fact for gaining weight!
You'll be back down to your 25 pounds gone in no time. And past it I am sure!
Hope your mouth feels 100% soon.
Gotta love Cracker Barrel.
I just caught up with whats happening with you...You poor thing! I'm glad things are looking up for you and that your mom is doing better.

Hahah! Yeah, I remember that part with the protein bars.....that's so cruel!

The food at Cracker Barrel is soo good, but this time it was like 1,000 times better because I was starving. I got the breakfast Harvest Special....meaning like 5 different plates of food. I was a little embarrased that I had that many plates in front of me! It'll be a long while before I treat myself to something like that again!

Today was awesome! The weather was perfect and so I spent most of the afternoon gardening and sitting under my ancient oak trees enjoying the breeze. My oak trees are enormous and from them hang 3 wooden swings (one is bench swing) and in between the two trees is a large hammock. It's lovely. I don't know if any of you know this about me, but I love to garden and spend time in my yard. I'll post some pictures in a bit.

I'm not sure if any of you will be interested in my gardening adventures, but something exciting happened today! I accidently grew sweet potatoes!! 3 months ago we had some rain that lasted about 2 weeks and I didn't get to add to or mix up my compost pile and a vine grew out of it. I had posted some pictures on a garden site to see if someone knew what it was and they all said it was Morning Glory...which is usually an invasive weed. I had my doubts though! I knew it had to be a veggie or fruit from all the stuff I throw in there. So I waited it out. Well today I went to check it and I dug up a little bit and sure enough...big ripe sweet potatoes! And when I say big...they are huge. Never in my life have I seen any like this. My almost two year old son could barely hold onto one of them because it was so heavy!! I have to post some pictures so y'all can see!!! (I know, I know, y'all probably aren't as excited as I am!)

As for food...I ate a leftovers for lunch and dinner. Not the healthiest stuff, but it's decent and I did watch my portions.

Breakfast: Whole wheat pita with natural pb and low sugar strawberry jelly. 1 and a half cups of 1% milk

Snack: small Choc. Rice cake snacks (about 5 of them) with natural pb

Lunch: leftovers! Half of a hamburger patty, brown rice with carrots and light butter, noodles with chicken and cheddar cheese, 2 Morning Star Broccoli nuggets. Diet Green Tea with lemon

Dinner: Homemade vegetable soup (with stew meat and chicken breast) Club crackers, glass of 2 % milk

We switched to 2% today because my toddler needs it for his growing brain. It just has 20 more calories than the 1% but I know I'll need to go easy on it. I love milk, so this could possibly be a future problem if I'm not careful.

Exercise: Played on the Wii Fit which came yesterday! It was a blast! Also, I did some moderate cleaning and a lot of gardening. Nothing too major, but I did keep busy.

The Wii Fit tracks weight to the ounce. This morning I was 211.4. It also measure your progress and goals. Very cool.

Wow, you are one camera happy person aren't you!!!

Those are some seriously impressive sweet potatoes (almost too impressive, you don't live near a nuke plant do you?).

Sounds like you're having fun (cute kids too BTW).

We've had a lot going on this weekend b/c Chris' grandma died. She had Alzheimer's and it was slowly eating away at her brain. Everyone was prepared for it to be soon, but it was still very hard on the family.

Chris is home, so I'll be posting more and catching up with everyone when he goes to bed this afternoon or possibly tomorrow.

Thanks for checking up on me! Talk to y'all soon
I know I've been missing for awhile so I'm catching up with everyone. I'm really sorry for you and Chris about his grandma. Alzheimer's is such a sad thing. My grandma had it too and eventually died as well. No matter how prepared you are, it still doesn't make it any better. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh. I'm excited!!! I looooove sweet potatoes. It's awesome that you garden. I wish I could do that here. Unfortunately, we are renting right now, looking to buy a house and I don't want to put all my energy into something I'm eventually going to leave behind. That's for sharing all you beautiful pics. Nice job.

Wow Kristi, I'm envious of your sweet potatoes, I've never had any happy accidents like that. I miss gardening...my mom and I used to run a huge garden together and I used to help her plant flowerbeds. Now that I have my first home I'm going to have to return to my old fav hobby...nothing like diggin in the dirt while sittin in the sun to relax So I have this awesome recipe for sweet potatoes....but I'm sure it's really really bad for you :X. I found it online and it's a two step process where you partially precook them, peel, then fry them in butter, THEN bake them in brown sugar and dark syrup.....they come out crunchy and so good but so bad, lol. I made them at Christmas last year and even people who didn't like sweet potatoes pigged out on them.

Speaking of holidays I think I'm going to tell myself I have to stick to my calories each month if I want to have a free day on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Of course none of my hubby's family cooks what I'm used to tradionally....I saw NOODLES and augratin potatoes out last xmas at his dads and didn't say it but my reaction to the noodles was "ewww, thats not holiday food". And there was no cranberry sauce or relish trays with olives....so on the upside the holidays may not be that tempting, lol.

Thanks y'all! I haven't tried one yet, but I will tomorrow. I wonder if they will taste any different (better) from the ones in the store since they didn't have pesticides and all that.

Today was a lazy day. Chris didn't realize until this morning that his fall break is today and tomorrow! He found out at work today from one of his co-workers! Good thing he did or he would have waited around until 1 pm at work only to go to school and it be closed! We cuddled on the couch all day

(510)Dinner: All natural Barilla Mushroom Garlic Spaghetti sauce(80) with cubed chicken breast and vegetables(150). sprinkled with cheddar cheese(45) (It was chunky enough to eat without noodles.) One piece of White Wheat bread(65),Light land o' lakes butter(50), 1 c. 2% milk (120)

(195)Snack: 1/2 c. cottage cheese(90), 1/3 granola(105), water

Does anyone have anything fun planned for the weekend?? I am full of plans! Chris and I have a hot date tomorrow (dinner and a movie) and then Saturday we are going to the park. They are having Dog day where everyone brings their dogs to play. We don't have a dog, but it'll be fun for Erik to see all the dogs! The local animal shelters are bringing their dogs and we just may adopt one After that we have a chidren's birthday party to go to. Then on Sunday we are going to Chris' parents. Fun weekend ahead!

Yeah, it'll be so nice to actually spend some time with him! Yesterday was very refreshing. We are going to see, "Burn After Reading" with George Clooney and Brad Pitt. I've heard it's funny! We are going out to eat, but I'm not sure where yet. Chris said something about going to Cracker Barrel again, but I'm in the mood for Cajun food. I really don't care all that much b/c I'm just so excited to see my hubby!!

K, so after I wrote last night, I did end up getting on the Wii and I did some cardio for about 15 minutes. I did step arobics, hoola hooping(which is very tiring), soccer ball head butting!, and jogging in the park. This was all virtual, but very fun and I did get my heart rate up and was out of breath and sweating. I love this thing!

Oh, and I got on the Wii this morning and my weight is back to 210. Well, 210.5, but I'm satisfied with that. For the month of September I lost 7 pounds I need to lose 10 more to get to my mini goal! ahh! I'm trying not to stress, because honestly, if I get to even 205, I will be sooo excited to be that much closer.

Here's to a great month everybody!!
