I lost another pound...the day after the 4th of July ....am I in the Twilight Zone or what?! (Anybody watch the Twilight Zone marathon (Sci-fi channel) on the Fourth and on New Years? It's become a family tradition for us )
Down to 223 pounds. That's 5 pounds lost in 8 days. Is this too fast or is this normal?
My activity level has sky rocketed and so has my energy. I feel so much better about myself even though I can't tell a huge difference in any weight loss. It's nice to let my muscles play a valuable role in my body again! I am so sore from all the lunges and sit ups but it sure beats feeling lazy.
Breakfast:Scrambled eggs: 1 egg and 1 egg white. half a piece of reduced fat cheese. 2 pieces of double fiber wheat bread and spreadable land of lakes butter. handful of blueberries. 1 cup of 1% milk.
Lunch: Lean Cuisine:Chicken Parmesan. 260 calories. 5 grams of fat. 22 grams of protein. 3 grams of fiber. Added a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and a spoon of prego spaghetti sauce from the fridge. (This took the re-heated frozen food taste out a bit!) 1 C. of 1% milk.
Snack:100 calorie pack: peanut butter crips and ice water with a lemon.
Dinner: 1 c. of 2% cottage cheese, handful of blue berries, half a banana, a spoonful of flax seeds. (<--that was so good mmm)
Peanut butter banana, blueberry sandwich: 2 pieces of double fiber wheat bread toasted, half of a banana, handful of blueberries, 1 tbl. spoon of peanut butter) Ice water with lemon to drink.
[Exercise: Wellll, not much today. I felt kinda lazy today. Spent most of it watching tv (at least it was the Fit channel!) and on the computer. I did do 80 crunches and some weights while watching the tube. Probably going to do some more crunches before bed. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sundays we usually go over to my in-laws house for lunch and bum around all day at their house. They live on 8 acres of land with horses, barn cats, ducks, and they have a fishing pond. Anyway, today we went over and my mom-in-law(whom I adore) ordered pizza for everyone. uh-oh. I was thinking that one slice wouldn't hurt me too bad...but then I thought about this high I am on from losing this weight and decided against it. I offered to pick up Subway for anyone else opting out of eating pizza. My hubby, my hubby's sis and even my mom-in-law decided to go for Subway. I didn't feel left out and it made me feel so good that they were supportive in this way I still feel like I ate a lot more food today than I have been this week so I worked out extra hard. My mom-in-law told me in private that if I lost a total of 15 pounds this month that she would give me 50 bucks to go get something fun to wear. How sweet is she?! I told her that I've already lost 9 pounds since last month, so she better have her wallet ready!
Breakfast:Special K with Strawberries. 2% milk
Lunch:6 inch. Chicken Terriyaki on Honey Oat with cucumbers.(370 calories. 5 grams of fat. 5 grams of fiber. 20 grams of protein.) Sprite Zero. Half a bag of Flat Earth Veggie Crisps from Subway.(The whole bag had 130 cal.)
Snack:ONE bite of apple pie. 2 meatballs from my hubby's leftover subway sandwich.
Dinner:Same exact thing as lunch. ( I ordered a 12 in. sub and saved the other half for dinner time.) ate the rest of those crips from lunch.
Snack after dinner:half a c. of special K with strawberries. A peach, some blueberries, and a couple of grapes. 2 % milk.
STUFFED! After I ate all of that I was soo full and felt like I overdid myself today so I went for a half a mile walk around my in-laws' property. Took me 20 minutes- I was going a slow pace and was enjoying the evening. They have a weight machine home gym thing that does arms and legs and so I did that for about 20 minutes. It was only 20 pounds but I did it for a good while. Did about 40-50 crunches and jacknife exercises. (Don't even ask me to explain what those are..I'll only confuse you!)
Oh! I think my scale is off by 8 pounds! I am 8 pounds lighter at my mother-in-law's house. She said that she has weighed herself when she has gotten back from the dr. office and it was the same...and I had 2 people ask me(separately) if my scale was off in my bathroom by about 5 pounds in the last couple of months. hmmm. Should I get a new one? It nice seeing that much of a difference. Anybody have any good recommendations for an accurate scale?????

Hey hun just checking in and it sounds like you had a very great day at your in-laws! Great self-control, you are right on your way!! I love how you said you are like a tomato with toothpicks because that is me to a T!!! My friends asked me why I hadn't bought skinny jeans (they are very thin, it disturbs me how little work they put in...) and I had to break the news that I would look like humpty dumpty. haha
For the scale, I bought the weight watchers digital scale that measures to the 0.2 lb. I got it on sale for only $20 at Marc's (a local cheap grocery store) but I had heard that Wal-Mart carries the weight watcher's brand. it is so easy to use and very accurate, mine is 1 lb heavier than the gym I go to and exactly the same as my doctor's.
Hope that helps and keep up the good work!

wwahahaha! Humpty dumpty is right for me as well! I let out a laugh on that one! I'll look into the weight watcher's scale. I'm going to go to walmart and try some different ones out and see how they are on consistency. Sometimes when I get on my scale I'll have a couple different weight amounts in a matter of seconds. I might even want to get one that is not digital bc of that. Thanks so much for the encouragment and help!

Sounds like you are doing WORK girl! Those lean pockets are filled with crazy stuff, watch out! The sodium on them is out of control and they always leave me feeling unsatisfied and gross. Oh well, everything else sounded fab. I see you are a cheese/dairy woman. I may lose this weight but I will never give up cheese. NEVER. haha Glad you are sticking to the same philosophy. haha

Have you tried the laughing cow cheeses? The laughing cow light (original flavor) is only 35 cals per wedge. The have other flavors too, like garlic and herb. They come in a round box with like 8 wedges in a box, and are soft, spreadable cheeses with a sort of swiss flavor.
I love to just spread a wedge on some ham or turkey, roll it up and eat it without bread. I also use it on toast in place of butter, jam, cream cheese, etc.

I've been hearing about it (and saw it in a magazine) and want to try it. None of the places that I grocery shop carry it though. (Wal-mart and Win-dixie.) I'm going to mention it next time I see a manager at Win-dixie because my mother-in-law said that they started ordering stuff after she has only asked just once if they had something. Couldn't hurt to ask! Thanks for reminding me

OMG laughing cow cheese is the equivalent of crack cocaine for me!!! I can't get enough! hahahaha
When we went to Panama City for spring break (don't ask why we thought that was a good idea) we got Win-dixie cards and LOVED it there! Everything is sooooo cheap compared to Ohio! Definitely jealous!
It seems as if today was a good day so far, keep it up!
