Rep Power: 13 | | | Attempt ....33? I've been lurking for a while, and decided that I should try again with this diary malarkey. I had a moment where i deleted all my diaries (i've got a few copied into a word document somewhere) Consistency is the word of the moment it would seem. I'm just trying to concentrate on that for now, instead of setting massive, unattainable targets for myself.
Oh thats quite a downhearted post. I'm actually feeling quite upbeat about this at the moment. |

Rep Power: 13 | | I should have started a diary up again a long time ago, i've just remembered how much it helped me last time. Alas, the weight that was lost has been found...again. Annoyingly. But nothing more to do than start from the beginning again. I think it was the lack of consistancy that caused this, so i'm trying to keep this in mind. Exercise and sensible eating shall be the order of the day |

Rep Power: 20 | | | I've so been there....I lost 60lbs last year only to throw it all aside in November and gained almost all of it back. I just restarted in May...well made several mini start attempts I guess...ok to be more honest it was more like beginning of June for a successful attempt, lol. I tend to do find as long as my routine isn't interrupted but the minute life throws me a curve ball or I get really busy I'm off track. This time I'm working on safety nets and back up plans for when that happens cuz I have the same problem...not being consistant. |

Rep Power: 6 | | Sweet! I think setting small goals is really good at achieving the [major] goal. Like with me, I have ONE major goal, ONE semi-major goal and I also set mini goals for myself. My MAJOR goal is to be 130-135 by my sons 1st BDay [which is February 2009... Can you tell im trying to lose the baby weight? HA] My 2nd *Semi*- major goal is to be at my pre-pregnancy weight by my 24th BDay which is in October [I was 150-155 before I got pregnant]. I set little goals for myself each month to keep my mind off the major one[s]. June's mini goal was to lose 8lbs by July 4. I weigh myself on Thursday to see if I reached my goal
Keep us posted! I want to stick around! |

Rep Power: 13 | | douknowjello: i know exactley what you mean, everything was going well until i had 12 weeks off from school, and all routine was forgotten and replaced with typical student sleeping-all-day every day, thats pretty much a summary of those entire 12 weeks. I have quite a long summer at home from college now, so i'm taking the chance this time. Thankyou for making me realise how much i need to stick around here. This site really is an amazing help, for pretty much everything.
Kasey23: I really like that idea. Once i get the courage to weigh myself, i'm going to set some quite low (but realistic) goals of that sort i think. Just need to get back into the swing of things. Good luck with all your goals, you sound so motivated |

Rep Power: 11 | | Lurk no more, Bluey
I've set myself a smaller target this time around - one I know I can hit. One of my problems was not feeling as if I'd been successful, even though I had been.
Whatever target you settle on, hit it and feel good about it. Then set another and hit that too! Yay!
Anyway, you can't lurk anymore - I need you to keep me in check! lol |

Last time, i know that even though people were making so many comments about the weight loss, still i just didnt feel successful. Now thinking back, i think if I had realised how good it felt, i wouldnt have gone of the track i was so comfortably on, straight back down the hill to where i find myself for the 2nd time. But i suppose its just a case of climbing the annoying metaphorical hill again.
Today was i suppose the "official" starting day, as ridiculous as this sounds. just because all college stuff is finished pretty much for the summer now.
A target?
I've been trying to think about this, and i don't want to just arrive at a random number. As weight loss isn't exactly that predictable, water weight, TOM , etc. But 4 weeks from today, seems to be an apropriate time frame. (4th August) A target of 8-10 pounds. Weekly target of 2-2.5lb. Yeah. On past experience that should be very doable if i stay focused. I really have no idea what i'm doing here, just making it up as i go along. Well we shall see. |

Rep Power: 13 | | Ahh things seem to be going nicely,
I have a job at last for over the summer. That should help with the active side of things, as its the most manual labour i've ever done lol.
It will be nice to have money for once. |

I'm playing for 2lbs a week as a target for now with a long term aim of going for a whole year at that rate. If I can manage that, I'll be around the 200lb mark which would be very nice thank you very much!
Good luck with the new job - I look forward to hearing all about it |

I have actually no idea how much i'd like to weigh, 160-170 would be good .
Ahh i'm sure you will, as long as i havent pummelled myself to death with a cabbage by the end of the week through sheer boredom. |
