Rep Power: 12 | | Yea I definately wasn't trying to make a point that every raw egg carries salmonella, I have just heard everytime raw egg comes up salmonella is a topic sure to follow. I'm sure it's just like shell seafood. I love lobster, though I know it has probably one of the greatest risks for salmonella.
To sum up....I'd still never eat raw eggs (seems wayy too unappetizing), and you, my friend, are very brave. |

tomato (current)
peanut butter 2006
spinach 2005
green onions 2003
raspberries mid 90s
No one ever says "green onions. You'll get hepatitis" Poor egg. The said thing is that is also the victim of the whole "we changed our minds about cholesterol thing."
On another note I just read that cilantro, and jalepeno peppers are about to be recalled as well.
My deduction? Terrorists are targeting the salsa production of america.

Rep Power: 18 | | Good Morning! Well late morning... I acutally had work on my desk today, weird!
Anywho! Last night's salsaerobics was AMAZING! I am still energized! And to top that off I am having a "skinny day" to boot! Whoot Whoot! LOL... I think I've had like 5 "fat days" in a row so I needed one!
After my days eating yesterday I had 10 points left... so I ordered a pizza and had two slices which just happened to equal 10 points. Ha I also had some salad 0 points along with a fat free spritzer again 0 points! And I had a diet DP, again 0 pts! So yesterday was a great day overall!
Today is going well thus far. As earlier mentioned I acutally had work on my desk to do. Its been really slow these past few weeks and I hate coming to work when its slow... because I sit here and pretty much do nothing all day... granted I get paid, but its not any fun by any means. I slept in this morning so didn't get a workout in, but thats alright too, I am pretty sore from the weeks workouts... and hopefully will get a run in tonight.
That's all for now... Breakfast
1 cup coffee: 0 pts
2 tbsp non-dairy creamer: 2 pts
1.5 pkt splendia: 0 pts
1 cup Special K: 2 pts
1/2 cup Fat Free Milk: 1 pt Total: 5 pts
(Yikes! I better watch it!) |

Rep Power: 19 | | | I'm very sad that Taco Bell had nixed the green onions on the Nacho Supreme...it was from some type of scare. But they never returned. Funny how a few major cases of some funky thing on the veggies can really affect the things we do! I know...random... |

Rep Power: 18 | | So here I sit at my desk... thinking about fiber of all things...
Anyway, my energy from last night's salsa class has finally disappeared... along with all the work on my desk. I spent the last hour writing up a little thing on fiber of all things... ha ha... I need to get fiber off the brain.
As for tonight its Mom and I's hair appointment. I am not too excited at the moment but things might change. I am just grumpy all of a sudden I think. It is rather hot in this office....
Okay so lunch eats:
1 bagel: 4 pts (eek I know but sooo good!)
1.5 tbsp fat free cream cheese: 1.5 pts
1/2 roma tomato: 0 pts
1 motts apple sauce cup: 1 pt
32 oz Water: 0 pts
Total: 6.5 pts |

I found all bran with yogurt by kellogs. 7g of sugar per serving and 10 grams of fiber. The special K I was eating had 9g of sugar and only 1 g of fiber... I looked at a fiber one box but if I remember correctly it was loaded with sugar... so I passed... Ill let you know how this one tastes.... |

Rep Power: 18 | | Guess I will check in. I just posted some before and after pics on that forum, if anyone is interested... and if anyone has any advice on slimming my lower half... I just started pre-training for a half marathon.. and I think running will make a huge difference... but we will see.
As for yesterday. I didn't get all my points in. Mom and I and our hair appt... I just got a trim she got the whole package. We got out so late that she just dropped me off and went home.. and I was tired and just went to bed.
I had a late afternoon snack that consisted of 1/2 svg of deli turkey 0.5 pt and a diet coke 0 pts... As I recall I was really grumpy then.
Today is my cheat day or day off as far as food goes. I still try to not gorge myself, but I enjoy things too. I got up and cleaned house this morning (its my day off). I moved through the house doing one room at a time super setting with laundry. Took me about an hour or so. Then I headed off to the grocery store, our fridge was empty. And then by the time I got home Stephen was off work so I made a couple Digorano pizzas and we watched a movie.... then napped. Its gloomy out today been raining on and off all day... We are hoping to go for a run tonight if the weather holds....
Well Step just came in and handed me my running shoes, apparently we are going now...And I am okay with that!
Thats all for now! |

Rep Power: 18 | | This morning started by riding the crimson wave... therefore it has not been a good morning. I wanted to go to salsaerobics but due to my condition I decided to pass. I have learned in the pass that no matter how good you feel while working out, the after effects are horrible! Hopefully by this evening I will feel good enough to get some kind of workout in... possibly some weight training.
My run last night with Step was great, we did a few sprints throughout the 2 miles and I tried hard to keep my feet moving. I only walked a tiny bit, Stephen was really pushing me to keep going. It was sprinkling when we left and was a slow drizzle by the time we got back... but it was nice out the temp wasn't too hot or cold.
I was rather proud of myself as far as dinner went. We are usually pretty boring and have grilled chicken most of the time. I found a recepie in Fitness Mag for shrimp and pineapple skewers and tried it out. I also made chicken skewers with red onion, squash, and bell pepper. Stephen had white rice and I made myself a little baked potato with some spray butter. It turned out to be a really nice dinner. So even though I wasn't counting points I don't feel bad about what we had.
As for plans for today, we don't really have any. Stephen is currently out on his road bike and I'm just hanging out at home. Looks like it's going to be another gloomy day... the storm clouds are building.
Today's Eats Breakfast:
1 cup coffee: 0 pts
2 tbsp half/half: 2 pts
1 pkt splendia: 0 pts
1.25 cups All Bran Cereal: 3 pts (10g fiber)
1/2 cup fat free milk: 1 pt
Total: 6pts
Lunch has yet to be decided on... I might just have a snack and save my points for dinner. I am making chicken Alfredo... eek I know... but I won't have any pasta and have several extra helpings of veggies!
Also, I am trying to find how many calories I burn during exercise. I did a search on the forums but was unable to come up with anything substantial. If anyone has any suggestions where to look that would be greatly appreciated.

Rep Power: 18 | | Just checking in to update eats for today. I didn't really want a lunch so I snacked instead... I think I made decent choices...
Snack:
1 sm green apple: 1 pt
1 tbsp peanut butter: 2 pts
1 cup fat free milk: 2 pts
Total: 5 pts
So that puts me at 11 points for the day, leaving me 11 for dinner... I am wondering if I should get a few more points in before dinner so that I dont gorge myself so to speak. Its still pretty early (around 3pm), so we will see. I'm not feeling to hot right now, think I might to rest my eyes for a bit.
Cheers! |

Rep Power: 18 | | Last check in for the evening. Late Snack:
Yogurt Cup Vanilla: 2 pts Dinner:
2 oz shrimp: 1 pt
2 oz chicken: 1.5 pts
1/4 cup alfredo sauce: 3 pts
2 cups veggies: 0 pts
Total: 5.5 pts
So that leave me with 3.5 pts. We are gonna fire up the grill here in a few and make smores... And I think it will work out pretty good.
I feel like I did good today for being a weekend. Usually I fall off, but I am trying to be more accountable. Stephen and I had a talk today about my weight-loss goals. And I kinda feel like I am at a standstill. I don't know what I am doing wrong to only loose a few pounds a month. I am currently 148, but I don't really have a number that I am shooting for. My doctor would like to see me at 145, I think I could go as low as 135 without looking too skinny... but it seems sooooo far away. Granted I have lost 17 pounds in the last 2 years, but it took me 2 years... will it take another 2 to meet 135?
I'm a little frustrated is what I am trying to say. I feel like I am busting my butt, but only getting tiny results. Maybe I just need to up my game and double my cardio or something... Ugh... I'm having one of those I hate myself moments....
Anyway, thats all... |

Rep Power: 18 | | Just checking in for the evening. Today was okay all around. My mom and I went shopping, I bought a few tops, nothing too exciting. I did learn its hard to stick to things when Mom is around. She has always been a big woman for as long as I have known her... and she had tried every diet you can imagine... and she would do well then fall off. Same thing with weight watchers, she lost over 50lbs then stopped for whatever reason. I have tried to help, but she doesn't want help... Let me do it my way she says... And I respect that, but at the same time she complains about it alot and I don't ever know how to respond. But anyway, she picked me up around 2 or so and hadn't eaten since around 8 and got "the shakes" as she says and had to eat something. I had to pick up a prescription so she got a bunch of snack type stuff and it was hard for me to not snack and they dont exactly have great healthy options as Walgreens.
Anyway, enough of my rant. I looked over my calendar to see how I did this week as far as exercise goes and I fell pretty short of my goals. I hoped to get 360 mins of cardio in and only got 220 mins and I had hoped to run 8 miles or more and I got 5.25 in. But I had 3 days of nothing at all, which is not acceptable. The only way I'm going to acheive that athletic look is to work for it. So with that tomorrow is a new day...
I ran 2 miles today, I think it was one of my best times. I'm still not able to run the whole time just yet, but I ran at least 80% of the time. But I did feel really good during it and pushed hard the last quarter of a mile. My right knee started to get pretty tight, but after stretching its better now. Hopefully by the end of this week I can get the full 2 in without stopping. We live by a huge private school that has a path all the way around it and I think its about 4 miles around, the plan is to be able to run that comfortably by the end of August and I think that is a goal that can be reached....
Anywho, todays eat were pretty light as far as nutrients goes.... Breakfast:
1.25 cup all bran: 3 pts
0.5 cup fat free milk: 1 pt
1 banana: 2 pts
1 cup coffee: 0 pts
2 tbps sugar: 2 pts
2 tbsp half/half: 2 pts
Total: 10 pts
(Note: Sometimes I like to have real sugar in my coffee and yeah I pay the price, but its something I enjoy. My coffee is not the same with splendia...) Snack:
16 Wheat thins: 3 pts
1 tbsp fat free cream cheese: 0.5 pts
2 cups arizona tea: 4 pts
1 block white coconut: 1.25 pts
Total: 8.75 pts
(Note: I had the wheat thins and c.cheese before I went shopping, the tea and coconut where while shopping... I am glad I didnt eat a full serving of the coconut because it would have been 6 pts!) Dinner:
1 pork chop: 4 pts
1 cup broccili: 0 pts
1 cup spinich salad: 0 pts
5 Sprays salad spritzer: 0 pts
2 cups Tea: 0 pts
1 packet splendia: 0 pts
Total: 4 pts Grand Total: 22.75 pts
(Note: I went over by 0.75 pts, which I think was pretty good considering the circumstances!)
I'm off to do a quick ab workout before lights out...
