So its been a tick since I've made any kind of update. However as long as its been you'd think I'd have more to say.
The summer was brutal, took 2 courses and had only 2 weeks off between semesters. This semester has been brutal aswell. I'm taking 5 classes, that manage to take up the majority of my time... yet I'm still working 20 hours a week and I've been training for a half marathon which is this weekend.
My current goals after the race is all said and done is to finally bear down and break into the 120s and continue to work on my mental blocks. Step and I are going to MA on holiday in 68 days and I would like to be in top top shape... which honestly I'm not that far from and within only a couple of weeks a really watching my intake and getting some solid strength training in... all will be good in my world.
So today is day 1 essentially of getting back on track. My goals for the week are to keep my cals under 1700 and drink my water. Log 20+ miles and rock out at my half marathon this weekend.
Fall break is this week so I've got a slow school week, with a few things due tomorrow and a midterm wednesday, then I'm free. And I took the end of the week off to have some much needed ME time.
Attached is a photo from this past summer. I did about 1/2 of the P90x program before getting totally exhausted from work and school and training.
I will be posting my intake and exercise daily so all comments and suggestions are welcome!! |

Exercise:
None - got wrapped up in an assignment
Food:
1662 cals
49g fat
203g cho
103g protein
A little carby but I'll take it. I look to see the scale drop a few "weight" pounds this week and get a better idea of where I'm really at.
Today's goals (Oct 13) are the same. Keep cals under 1700 and drink my water. I have a low key day school wise with only one class and then might have lunch with a friend and study for a midterm tomorrow.
My evening schedule should allow for a run 4-6 miles and some much needed stretching. |

Oct 13 Update
Food:
Not really sure, went out to lunch with a friend and had a pretty heavy meal. We will say that I did not reach my goals for the day. I might try to overestimate what I had into fitday to get a rough estimate.... but at the same time I'm not super concerned about it.
Exercise:
5.25 mile run Took about an hour. My gps died just after mile 4 so I'm not 100% on the time, but I was going more for mileage than anything. I felt strong and if the sun hadn't disappeared I would have continued for another mile or 2. |

I'm officially on fall break so I celebrated with a "date night" in. We ordered pizza and made cookies and watched "He's just not that into you." Which was freaking hilarious!
With that in mind!
Food:
?? Mostly likely too much, but who cares I'm freeee!
Exercise:
Stretched 10 mins
Between the sheets time ?? mins
Only a few days away from my big event... once its all over then the "real" work begins. I know that I can easily break into the 120s within a 2 week span of clean eating and exercise. Right now I'm just trying to keep myself hydrated and well rested for the race. I'm very excited to finally be doing this, because I've talked about it for long enough. I think I was always scared of the higher miles, but I AM a runner now and as Mel told me a long time ago... "whats the worst that could happen? You walk a bit?" And she was RIGHT!!
Today I'm out of work at 10:30 and then because of fall break I'm off for the rest of the day. However I've got a few assignments I want to get done and then spend the rest of the afternoon working on vision boards, scrap books, and catching up on my magazine reading... I've got like 4 runner's worlds that I haven't read yet!!
I also plan to map out my plan of attack to break into the 120s and get a WO schedule rockn' for the remainder of the year!!! |

Rep Power: 56 | | hahahaha.... OMG ...you have me dying laughing!!! "Inbetween the sheets time?" under "exercise section" hahahaha
.... Cause, I mean.....that's gotta count for SOMETHING right!? !!! !!!
I googled " calories burned during sex" when you said that and this came up first link : "INTERCOURSE: The average lovemaking session burns between 50 and 100 calories. Having sex 3 times a week burns 7500 calories per year. That’s the equivalent of jogging 75 miles. The more intense the sex, the more calories are burned: up to 15,000 calories annually (at a frequency of 3 times weekly). 15,000 calories wquals over 4 pounds of weight loss per year!
ORGASM: Experts estimate that an orgasm can burn between 60-100 calories." Let’s Talk About Sex and Calories! — dailymuscle.com
...hahah.... that gets that out of the way!...but with that being said...I adore date nights especially when they are in. You seem to enjoy and relax and just curl up the best. Going out is fun and all, but it's until you really go out sometimes and have a boring time that you really really miss date night in. We try to have one date night "in" every weekend. It's the best....& I adore PIZZA!! What other way to get a date "Free no barriers" day than with pizza, and cookies....the only extra we've been adding lately is " Mimosas"!...I love em. ..hahah
You know, this weekend while I was in the "alleys" (down town over here, where we buy jewelery for $1 . The stuff that is in the boutiques re-packaged to cost $15 per peice.)...I was really looking at those skinny jeans and all and I was realizing how important it is give yourself "motivational clothing". I thought about it too, when you went to Old Navy and spend on some new sweaters.
I didn't buy the jeans, because I decided, work hard this month and drop a size before to prepare for the trip soon....but today, just wearing a new shirt, makes me feel better about my body. New clothes don't seem to attach any negative old feelings you had about your body then, (meaning me) and it all around is "good for the soul". The shirt I bought in boutiques is about $30. I paid $4. hahah!!! SALE SHOPPER!
Also..........
...And I thank you So much you little soft peach for being so supportive & for your wonderful comments. They make me feel so special coming from a beautiful green sexy eyed Hot eccentric toulip you!! On another Leaf:...I really want to hear this plan of attack for your break through into the 120's. All I need to do is break into something too...hopefully I can copy your thoughts on this.
...Tomorrow, I will try will all my might...so start exersizing (forgot how to spell that) again. And get up and go to spinning in the morning! !....Remind me. hahah!

I've been mulling it over a bit and I'm still working on defining my goals... once that's all said and done then I'll create a wo plan and nutrition plan to reach those goals... and all will be good. |

I did it! I ran my first half marathon!! 13.1 miles baby! Finishing time of 2:38:32. And to top off a great day, honey of 3.5 years proposed to me!
Its hard to believe that its already over and done with. In the past 8 weeks I've ran 110miles! Time for new shoes if you ask me!!
I'm currently working on my new goals and what I want from my training. My biggest objective is to find balance in my everyday life, minimize stress, and become happy with my body (no matter what weight I am).
I weighed in at 137.1 this morning. I know I've gained some weight since training and I've come to terms with that. I want to get down to 128-130 by December 1 and then maintain, maintain, maintain.
Yesterday was a "recovery" day and today should be a run day, but I'm going to give my body a little more time before hitting the pavement again. I'm thinking a nice yoga session might be just what I need.
My objectives for this week are to keep my cals between 1500-1600, drink my water, manage my time, and start finding balance. I forsee myself getting back down to 134-135 by the end of next week! |

That looks so fun to run in front of the workers there on their treadmill and get video taped to see the balance of your foot,...but honestly,...hahah... The first time I saw that treadmill and that the running store was very small...I thought .... "WHOA...are they gonna be looking at my ass bouncing around everywhere?!?! Thinking...like..."does she reallyrun like that?!?!" !!! .... BUT that's not gonna Hold Me BACK!!!...hahah!!! !! ...they can watch it bounce, wiggle, shift to one lopsided side, WHATEVA....hahah....just gimme some shoes...& throw in a Free Goupe for the "bounce to the ounce"!! !!! hahah!
I can't wait to see a link of the ones you end up getting!... !
I really want some LOUD FLAMBOYANT COLOR like bright ORANGE or BRIGHT RED...... ...that way you can see them coming in at the FINISH LINE!!!
Are you taking a little break from the running now? I still have to outline my goals this week, and really take attack mode like you say!...;-) ...Good thing we just started the week.! Action!!!

Rep Power: 18 | | I've got 17 days until my last final and 18 until we fly out. I'm currently concentrating on living a balanced life. I've lost 85 pounds for goodness sake and need to let that sink in a bit mentally before really moving forward with any goal.
I plan to keep running since thats what I do, and strength train because its fun and makes me feel strong. I am also looking into some spin classes and other outlets of exercise.
I'm learning to cope with what I've been given and am happy with the healthy life I live and all the wonderful people around me. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
