Notes:

- I need to eat more. I need to eat more often throughout the day, and eat more healthier. Alot more healthier. I know I would see better results if I laid off the nachos, pizza, and fast food. GAHH, I wish I could do everything, all at once, just make a drastic change

- I want to hold onto the muscle I have and build. This is going to take some research. How do I lose fat and keep the muscle? Weight Train?

Banish the fast food from your diet, or only indulge on rare occasions. If you prepack a little in advance, you won't have to eat it and you won't be spending extra dough on it. It'll probably be hard the first week or so but, once you detox from it, it will be easier. I've been noticing your food logs on here and they don't look like they have enough food in them. Just try to eat every few hours if you can so you don't become ravenous and binge on fast food. It works if you work it, I promise.

I believe in you too Laura

You sound like you have a lot going on in your life, from what I've read in your past journal, especially academically. You sound brilliant and very smart. This is just something you have to put all the effort into, like you do your schooling.

A little bit at a time. Losing weight is a process that tends to happen when we replace bad habits with good ones. Start slow and don't overwhelm yourself in the beginning or usually within a week you get burnt out and resort back to old ways. I would just start tracking your food as well as you can, making sure your getting your needs calorically and limiting the junk to a minimum. You sound like your riding your bike a lot which is excellent, and try and get to the gym a few times per week if you can. Some strength training would probably help the weight loss a lot. You don't have to go in there and be an "expert" at it. Just start with a few basic things, you gotta start somewhere right?

Set your goals smaller. I know your ultimate goal is to be between 110 and 120lbs I think, right? Well that is kind of overwhelming to focus on all the time, especially because that kind of weight loss doesn't happen overnight. I would say trying to hit 175 or 170 would be a good next goal, then when you do re-evaluate from there... You might already be doing this, and I might sound like an ass for re-suggesting it to you, lol...

Basically all I'm saying is don't overwhelm yourself. Set smaller goals and start healtheir habits. Counting calories and sticking to it is a beginner must, imo. I really really want you to succeed this time and I know you can. Just take it slower this time and perhaps day by day or minute by minute if you have to. You can do it!

You're right...I really need to stop with the junk food, it is biting into my rent money. My shopping addiction has gotten pretty bad. I really need to stop. I'm almost living paycheck to paycheck, using the money my mom gives me for shopping, not for rent, which it is suppose to be for.

Sam, thank you so much for writing all that! hahaha, I mean taking your time to do so. My short-term goal is to get down to 170, and ultimately 155-160 so I can wear 100% of my wardrobe.

Next week, I will start packing lunch. It is not normal for me to have my cousins visiting, so this time, most likely I will eat 1) yogurt 2) sushi buffet 3) make a stop at crepeville

I will eat a small in yogurt with blueberries and raspberries
I will eat sashimi and hand rolls at the sushi buffet
I'll try to eat light and veggies.

I went to BCBG today, and tried on a size 12 dress. a babydoll. It wouldn't zip up the back, it was about 4 inches apart.

I want to go back there, after losing weight, and fit into that size 12, or even smaller!

I will do it. I would have purchased it, but since about 60% of my closet is already filled with clothes that don't fit...I thought it would be better to just not buy it

Once I hit 155, I know everything will fit...everything.

90 minutes of shopping at 3.0mph, hehe- I like that

I went shopping with my friend today and she had a gift certificate at this store we have around here called DownEast Outfitters. They sell nice furniture and name brand clothing that is extremely discounted. We ended up getting her a size 26 pair of Big Star jeans for 30 (retail 100), a dark turquoise shirt that has an umpeerish waist and is V-neck so it shows off the tickets , and then a pair of khaki capris she insisted on... I was pleasantly surprised. She is addicted to buying pink colored shit and I can't take it anymore... I think pink is ok but if it is in 80% or more of your wardrobe I think it's a problem, jmo... So when we entered the store I told her absolutely no pink if she wanted my help (I know that sounds kinda bitchy but I'm just trying to help her I promise )... So she obliged and now she is slowly trying to work with different colors... Baby steps for her

That will be awesome when you can get into that dress that is a 12. That is a great goal outfit. You will have to post a pic of it once you've reached the goal and gotten it for yourself. I'm working on getting into a pair of William Rast jeans I bought a few weeks ago... They fit but they are still kinda tight. Lunges, squats and running will be my friend over the next month or so

WILLIAM RAST?!?!?! i'm jealous. ahhh!!!

My cousin, who is 5'9 and weighs 175, came by and tried on my size 31s of true religion, people liberation's, and seven's...and she fits in them all perfectly, or are almost too big...so, me at 5'5, I will have to be 155 or at the most 160 to fit into my clothes.

Told you.

Man, that late night snack will have me tipped over.

Thoughts

I have put a setback in my diet. This is how I usually fall off.

1. Weigh-in
2. Disappointment
3. Panic
4. Discouraged

So, tomorrow morning, I'm going to wake up and go to the gym and then study.

That's it.

Tomorrow morning, cardio + weights + abs. I'm going to go extra hard, and eat extra right. So on Monday morning, I'll be 174-173. I usually fall off at 170, but I won't. When I hit 170, instead of going out for food to celebrate, I'm going to go to the gym. Just to get out of the 170s for good.

I really want to get to 160, of muscle and content belly button.

Places I really keep track of whether I'm losing, in order of significance
1. back fat roll
2. stomach- gut & ribs
3. gut creases on sides
4. chin/neck/collar bone
