Rep Power: 15 | | Not a very good day yesterday...
Religious occasion last night. Had too much halva! I love halva tania and really have a weakness for that. The one that my aunt brought in was splendid!! Really rare authentic one that can only be found in the UAE!! Its really toes licking good!! hmmm... but just a few spoons is 280 calories and mostly from Fat!! There's also Sugi!!
Someone suggested that I bring home the Halva but Id rather not! I think I will put on weight very fast if I bring that home. No way!!
Cooked this chicken dish also, which was quite healthy with vege and mushroons!! Had a lot of attention for it. Many ladies came to me to ask of the recipe. They find the dish so unusual and wanted to know details of it. Its actually super simple to make! Chef Wan's recipe taken from the Asian Food Channel - FROM THE GARDEN TO THE KITCHEN!!
First fry the chicken wings in batter ( just flour and salt will do)
Blend
1Onions
4 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
cumin seeds a pinch
candlenut x 2
dried prawns a handful
Stir fry the blended ingredients
add vege
you may consider -
carrot
snow peas
pepper fruit
shitake mushroon
button mushroon
then add in coconut milk
stir till boild
salt to taste
I also added daun kunyit (tumeric leave) slices and lime leave
Chef Wan's recipe added rosemary, tyme, basil but I didnt. He also didnt add dried prawns in. chef did put tumeric leaves or lime leaf |

1 small chicken part
3 pc small chunks of beef in sause
a few vege around 4 pc ( most of the vege were finished.. darn!)
Had lunch at Singgah Selalu, was in JB to sign some papers to activate all the water, electricity or whatever else that is needed to pay for our new house in JB, Malaysia.
Lunch was at
1/4 plate of thai kuay teow
1 plate ABC ( haha... yes, I ate this!)
3 small buns with curry sauce
1/2 plate kai lan & beef stir fried with ginger!! BEST EVER!!
Too full to eat more!!
Usually when me & hubby goes to Singgal Selalu, we will eat so so many foods but today, we didnt. We spend about RM45 for everything. We usually spend at least RM110 on normal days eating so many many types of food till we were bloated! This time, I didnt even finished the food. My husband also didnt eat as much! He was so inspired by e, he had started his weight loss journey and now had lost almost 5KG, the difference is a lot since most of that weight comes from his tummy. |

Don't worry about the good from the religious occasion. It's good. I went to the gurdwara last week and also had prasad (halva) and I was just thinking, "OMG SO MANY CALORIES!!!!" But it's okay. It's God's food in my eyes.
That chicken dish sounds tasty. I LOVE mushrooms. Now if only I could cook :P
That's amazing that your husband is joining you in the weight loss journey How motivating!!
Great job on eating less. You're doing great Cybermama! |

Rep Power: 15 | | | No breakfast... last minor operation to gums and tooth drilled and refilled for the root canal, this morning. I was thinking shit, if this still does not work.. Im doomed. Finally these few days, the sinus swelling went down completely. Exactly a month!! Only some people noticed the unbalanceness of my face cause the swelling is slight but nowadays its completely down. Sinus is no longer painful when I press on it.
Lunch was Fish & Chips from Banquet - quite ok but wont go there again. Cook was from China.. hard time trusting any food cooked or made by them.
Watched Tropic Thunder with husband... laughed and laughed.. I almost chocked! Simply love Jack Black and he say the funniest thing when he wanted to be released from the tree... ahaha "If you release me, I'll work on your pipe and even swallow the gravy!" haha...
But overall, I think the movie was really not worth going to the cinemas for, you can wait it for DVD but if you are a fan of Jack Black or any of them like me! You need to go to the Cinema just dont have high expectations so you wont get dissapointed. |

Rep Power: 26 | | Hey it looks like you're doing really good overall but I understand about the halvah. When I was 19 I joined an ashram and became vegetarian but I gained twenty pounds thanks in large part to the buttery suji halvah and milksweets. God I loved fresh burfi. And khir. (sweet rice). |
