about the baby shower..um yah.....

i did pretty good

i ordered chicken caesar salad with my dressing on the side...when it came i put 2 spoonfuls of dressing on the salad and mixed it up. I did eat 3 croutons..but NOT the big side of bread that was served. I also said no to the cupcake....

but when i got home i had brought a little bag of nuts/m&m's for the hubby..actually i brought 2....watching football I ended up eating a bag. it was almonds/peanuts/cashews with maybe 5 m&m's in the bag...I looked up 1/2 cup of cashews 390 cals, 1/2 almods 410....so i am thinking it was about 400 cals...

but it was satisfying/filling...probably the cupcake would have been less cals, and less satisfying...

oh well ce la vi...and i still think i did very well.

Hey! Just popping in and reading what you are up to!!!

Concerning your diet, you may be on the right track with your starch plan, but you have ALOT of carbs. Try having more protein in your diet. Protein fills you up and doesn't mess up your blood sugar and so you won't get that hunger pang as much as you would on a carb heavy diet. An example would be substituting yogurt and TONS of fruit instead of cereal.

Just an idea! Keep up the hard work!

Hi Buckeye...actually thats not the diet I am following, just one my dad gave me that I started or thought I would follow...

thanks for the tip..I did think it was alotta starch too....

I am very hungry right now. after i had the 1/2 cup of nuts, I went to my mom and dads, my dad had made this hamburgerry type mixture for beef burritos...my dad is always whipping stuff up. i had a spoonful of that and 1/2 tortilla...and a diet soda.........why I am so hungry I dont know, I feel like I ate enough today....

Lost in fantasy football...my team put up almost 99 points....which is actually very good in our league, but the team I played put up 109 points and still has a person to play tomorrow. I am out of player. We have defensive players too, and I usually do pretty good choosing those, but I didnt do very well this week. I have Kurt Warner but he was on a bye so I picked up Matt Shaub...he did pretty good for me and holy crap my steven jackson kicked ass..like 27 points or something....

anyway...i was climbing up the ladder, but this loss drops me down....

Hi DYK, I just posted an "evil fried snickers bar" on your conversation page and visited your journal..you sound stressed....the evil snickers bar was to make you laugh......laughing burns cals i think...

I was 181 on the scale today...I am finding that as I go down I fluxuate 1 or 2 pounds....I am going to do my ticker once a week...so Saturday I will "remake it"...

I havent really exercised this week except for some skating. I can go today at 1:20, and my dtr has fall break from University of Toledo so she can go with me and give me a lesson....I should walk to the rink too (about a 15 minute walk)

Not much to say about the food ...I had my normal raisin bran today..I love it.

On a bad note..my husband fell down the stairs in the middle of the night...what a scary thing to be awaken by a 300 pound man falling down the stairs.....then, he gets up and goes to the bathroom and asks me to get him a glass of water, when I go in the kitchen I hear him fall again. He passed out and on the way down he took out a shelf with all my pictures and with this antique clock. He is lucky he didnt hit his head. He laid in the hallway for awhile and then crawled up on the couch. he called in today and said he feels like he is going to pass out when he stands up. I think he may have broken something or hurt somthing bad but hey wont let me take him to the urgent care. Men sure are stubborn sometimes. I told him that if something happens where he passes out and cant move, I will have to call the paramedics because there is no way i can move him. Its like I am worried but I have to act like I am not.........its not natural for someone to pass out like that....I will check on him again in a minute...

I am hoping my eating right gets him on track...yes I am overweight but he is terribly obese and I worry about losing him. I lost my 19 year old dtr to a drunk driving accident in april 2007....its just me and my hubby and my now 18 year old (she was 17 when her sister died), and I remember thinking "its just 3 of us now"..if something happens where I lose him it will just be 2 of us. I guess I should express this fear to him....but a person's weight is such a personal thing..............

We have been through alot in the last year and 1/2, and so has my dtr.....

I like how you post your meals. Good job at the shower! At least you tracked your candy calories, good for you!! You're doing amazing, good job counting and tracking. You are losing and that's a job well done! Go girl!

lunch...fresh veggies stir fried with some herbs and a little soy sauce/sweet sauce. i put them on a bed of lettuce and put a little sweet dressing on it as well. 1 low carb tortilla...

(then..i was craving something so i tore off about a 3 x 3 peice of a pita and put a little hommus on it...)..it worked i feel better

just ate a package of that imitation crab meat...what the hell is that stuff anyway

i have some chicken breasts in the oven for the rest of my week....they were large breasts (reaowwwwrrrr--maybe size D) so I had to give them a breast reduction and make them like size B's.....

okay dinnertime

1 Size B chicken breast (b cup....i think thats proper proportion)
2 tbsp pine nuts
1 packet lite zesty ital dressing
2 cups romain lettuce
a small handful of crunched up tortilla chips
about 1/8 cup salsa...

mix it up...its like a chicken taco salad....kinda sorta

bah, i drank a bottle of wine last night....

i am 182 today....

somewhere there was a thread about alcohol making you fat or what you eat when you drink...calories are calories..and i know when i drink i like bread!!! so i drank a bottle of wine and i also ate 1/2 pita with hommus..

i stopped myself because i could have started in the kitchen and munched my way to breakfast.

see i have to swear off the wine, it gets me in trouble calorie wise

i am taking my shoes to walk the mall today at lunch

this morning i had some beef broth..i am going to try to drink my broth when i get hungry...

i am taking a yogurt with fibre for breaky...

a big salad with my size b cup chicken breast for lunch

and the broth for snacks..

hope yall have a great day!!!

Hey Karebare,

I'm very sorry to hear about your oldest daughter...I can't even imagine going through that and a parent should never have to. How's your hubby doing now? . I really hope he's better...that sounded pretty serious. You're right about men being so stubborn. My husband is heavy too and he smokes...he's always telling me he won't live past 60 and I get so mad at him. It's hard to get him to drink water too but I've finally gotten him to go from none, ever, to sometimes. Anyway he plays the tough guy too but when he gets sick, he gets REALLY sick.

Anyway sounds like your husband may have had a really bad flu bug but I would have been scared too because I would have worried about what else could be wrong like heart problems. If you ever do have to call the paramedics just tell him if he has the energy he can take it up with them, lol. Anyways hope he's ok.

breakstass
1 cup beef broth
1 yogurt with fiber (which makes you really gassy.....beware)

lunch
salad with cranberries, slivered almonds, red onions and lite raspberry dressing
another cup of the broth and a B cup breast

dinner
big big big salad with balsamic vinigarette dressing
1 ounce cheese
1 size b cup breast
6 ritz crackers
sugar free puddin pack (nummy nummy on my tongue and tummy)

I gotta go to a sleep clinic tonight on accounta i have insomnia.....and sometimes i snore (embarrassing but true)....

oh i forgot
coffee and 2 mountain dews diet...oh i dont think i was supposed to drink caffiene today...ooooooooooops

okay so well...damnitalltofukinhell....

the hubby just went and got a pizza....

i gotta go to the sleep clinic in an 1/2 hour

i am gonna do my best not to eat pizza...maybe i should do like AA and turn it over to God.....Dear God please help me not eat this yummy smelling greezy cheezy fattening pizza........

maybe i can imagine it is covered in cockroaches and centipedes

maybe i can imagine it as big globs of fleshy fat on my butt

diversion..i need a diversion...........
