Rep Power: 18 | | | SOS...I am sinking the boat!!! I am very discouraged with my body and weight right now. I need to seriously do something. I start eating healthy for a few days and then lose my focus and go off for some reason. Mainly, commitment is my problem. But my back and legs and feet are taking a beating from this excess baggage I am carrying. I dont know what to do but keep trying...
I get really discouraged because I get hungry and cant seem to get satisfied. This morning I made two eggs and a peice of toast (about 45 minutes ago) and I am starving....
One thing I really need to do is cut out the wine. I know that will really help me so today is my day to vow NO MORE BOOZE. I dont really like any other booze, but I love my wine...empty calories...D_U_M_B!!! No nutritional value...
I am 186 pounds and 5foot 2. I am 45. I do zumba on Thursdays (love it) and skate a few times a week.
My dad gave me a 1800 calorie diet for his diabetes that I was using, I did it about a week and fell off...My goal was to start at 1800 calories, and track my progress...because I seem to be hungry on WW...the points arent enough..so if I do the 1800 calories and lose then I will stay there...if I do the 1800 cals and DONT lose the next week I will go down to 1700. I guess to try to find my comfort zone.
I am so discouraged I am at a loss as to what to do... |

Rep Power: 18 | | | Yesterday i did okay. Had my eggs and toast for bfast and for lunch i was working. I had a mcdonalds grilled chicken wrap and a ceasar salad.
for dinner the hubby made a pork roast and i tried to visually measure out about 1 cup of meat, 1 cup of potatos and 1 cup of peas....he doesnt get the "peas are a startch" thing....
i wanted to go get a bottle of wine but i didnt......i did end up having a cupcake with no frosting for a little dessert and a hard breadstick.
i am just working on it again....nothing drastic...just trying to be mindful.
i need to grocery shopping |

Why don't you try milk when you are hungry? Fatless milk satiates your hunger without making you put more weight. |

Rep Power: 217 | | Wine will not kill you - this should be a lifestyle change -a nd not a diet - which means that you should be incorporating your favorite foods into your food plan... if you want a glass of wine - have it - Depriving yourself only leads to failure down the road.
How many calories a day are you planning on taking in? |

Rep Power: 18 | | I did so so all week, just trying to make good choices at my mealtimes and no alcohol until Saturday. but yesterday I had a bad day and didnt choose very well. My back went out and I ended up not going to zumba on Thursday.
As far as calories malificent...I dont know...I was trying to go about 1500 to 1800 at first and then see how i lose and adjust from there. Trying to eat without feeling deprived and adjusting down until I hit a comfortable amount without being hungry and still losing.
I just had a bowl of cheerios with some 1% fat milk. I have to go to the grocery store.
I love those stirfry veggies already cut up in the fresh veggie/fruit aisle...not the frozen ones they fresh ones. When I have those that seems to be enough without any starch or even protiend to satisfy me..I use just a tad bit of stirfry sauce for flavor.
I am going to weigh myself this morning for real and begin.
i have had a very stressful last year...my body is also changing.....but
I still feel pretty sexy sometimes...which I guess is good. I just know I wuold be happier and feel younger if I dropped the weight.
Checking in here daily has got to become a norm part of my routine. Accountability......I think will be key.

Rep Power: 18 | | | I had been weighing myself everyday...contrary to what people say may be best, because I wanted to see my normal fluctuations. I was going from 185 to 187 over a week 1/2 period. Once I went down to 184 but never below. Yesterday I stayed true to my eating and i was down 183.
I have also decided to do some self affirmations when I feel like I want to munch but am not hungry. Kind of like self coaching......
Today I had my cheerios for breakfast.
I am taking a low carb tortilla, some greens and some almonds (no salt, just raw chopped) and a can of light peaches for lunch. i also am taking 3 boullion cubes to keep in my desk so if I get hungry I can drink some broth.
The challenge is after dinner....
I moved up to 6th place in my FFootball. I made the playoffs 2 years ago but last year missed. I started off kind of rough this year but with some moves and some studying I have moved up to 6th and its close between 4th, 5th and me...
off to work. have a great Tuesday. |

Rep Power: 217 | | | Weighing every day isn't always a bad thing as long as you are aware of the fluctuations and don't make yourself crazy with them... |

Rep Power: 22 | | Hey, just stopping in to say hi and thanks for posting in my journal. Just a few thoughts on some things I noticed while reading some of your posts... I know what you are saying about being HUNGRY!!! I was always hungry when I tried to restrict my calories in attempts to lose weight until I started eating 6 small meals/snacks each day. Now, I am seldom hungry when I take advantage of this tactic. Also, drink lots of water. It fills you up with the good stuff. Also, eat more protein. It keeps you satisfied longer than carbs. Real simple advice is to check out the "Stickies" in the nutrition section of this forum. It's filled with really good, easy to follow advice. I do not pretend to know all about this stuff, I'm just sharing to try to help you out a bit.
Have a great day. |

Rep Power: 18 | | | Nope...doing great, just very very busy.
My back is feeling good enough to do zumba tonight. I am excited, and I will skate tomorrow at lunch with a friend. (figure skate).
Today I had a protien drink for breakfast, and then sushi for lunch. GAWD I love it. I dont think I overdid it with the rice, so I should be okay, plus when I went to pick up the sushi I stopped at this really cool market and bought the most beautiful asparagus..so for dinner I am just going to have asparagus...thats all. Maybe a low carb wrap with some salad.
I was 184.5 this morning but no big deal..probably some water and I feel better. I had been drinking beef bouillion when I felt hungry..probably alotta sodium.
One day at a time and all that jazz.......
