Rep Power: 0 | | I understaned where you're coming from with the loose skin. I haven't lost enough yet to notice it, but I'm sure it will inevitably come. Have you done any research on surgery? What are the medical costs? Pain? Time frame?
Keep you're head up. Before... that "loose skin" used to be fat. |

Rep Power: 42 | | | Refresh my memory, how long has it been since you lost your weight? Loose skin, from what I've been told, takes a while to snap back. You are still young, so that's in your favor. I've also heard that cigarettes do hinder it, though, but I'm not so sure on this. |

Keep you're head up. Before... that "loose skin" used to be fat. | Well because I live in the UK, If I am 'eligible' for surgery it will cost me nothing. If I choose to go privately, estimates around £5000 ($10,000) for a 'tummy tuck'..which at the moment, isnt likely to happen, I dont have that kinda money sitting around!
Apparantley the pain sucks for a few days, but other than that its not too bad, but I guess everyones different! Also its gonna mean at least 2-3 weeks off work, which isnt my main concern, but still sucks!!
Its not the end of the world if I dont get it done, and like you say it USED to be fat, so its all good really...just sucks a little bit though |

Yeah I heard it can take upto a year or so for some of the skin to snap back, my main problem is because I put the weight on pretty quick, Ive got stetch marks (quite badly), and although they are reducing visually, I believe once you have damaged the skin like that, it will never fully recover!
Cigarettes hinder everything!! But I think your right, something about the chemicals making the skin weaker. Thats my next big goal, but one thing at a time me thinks!!!
Ah well, I guess I'll play the waiting game and see how things look in a few months |

Rep Power: 42 | | | I imagine that the shrinking of loose skin is not as noticeable as losing weight, so you might want to take some pictures that will show side by side the difference. |

As always Trops, your wisdom and advice is appreciated
Cheers |

Rep Power: 8 | | Now off to Hapkido, feeling pretty good, kinda tired but really wanna push myself as my weigh in is tomorrow, and Im really not expecting a big change in numbers (changed my diet a bit, done more strength training this week aswell)
Anyway, we'll see..hopefully I'll come back tomorrow with good news, if not, who cares..I'll get there.
Im also going round my friends tonight (3 of my best friends are renting a place together literally 2 mins walk from mine, which is awesome!) so gonna have a night of Call Of Duty 5 online no doubt
Anyway, hope all are well. |

Anyway, hope all are well. | I thought this line was a little ironic. Two of my best friends and I are big COD5 fans. Maybe we'll have to meet up online sometime and bout.
Have a good weekend if I don't talk to you. |

Gimme a couple of weeks to hone my skills and we'll sort something out |

Rep Power: 8 | | | whoo...and I believe..hoo Another 2lbs gone!!!
And my god did I have to work my ass off to get red of 'em. Hapkido was really good last night, there wasnt a huge turnout for some reason, so we spent most of the time working on kicks on the pads, which was good fun, and worked my legs more than normal.
Im especially happy with the 2lb loss this week, like I said before, I've changed my diet a bit, increased the calories, more protein, and Im glad the numbers are still going down!
So Im now at 218lbs, which is good for a few silly reasons, im now under 100kilos, my BMI is between 25-26, and its now over 130lbs lost (granted only by 1lb!!)
So Im a happy bunny today, got a pretty easy day at work, gonna go see my friends tonight, and hoping to go watch 'Quarantine' at the cinema tomorrow (I've seen Rec and am interested in how Hollywood has adapted it).
Its also meant to snow in the next couple of days
I love snow...for about a day, then it sucks
Ahh well, hope all are well, have an awesome weekend. |

Rep Power: 6 | | Hey man, congratulations so far on your weight loss. I think you're a bit taller than me but it looks like our start bmi and goal end bmi are pretty similar. At around 85 pounds lost now I'm starting to notice and worry about loose skin, so let us know how all that works out.
Recently I started using cocoa butter lotion on my stomach and sides to try to reduce the appearance of old stretch marks. Haven't noticed a big difference yet, but we'll see how it goes with more time.
Good luck! |

Sorry I've been MIA on your journal for a while.
I did, however, get a chance to look at your most recent pictures... WOW!
EXCELLENT JOB! You are my inspiration. Keep up the UNBELIEVABLE work! |
