This will be my first diary post. I think now is as good a time as any.
Like I've said before I weighed in at my heaviest earlier this year at 240 pounds and decided in March it was time to finaly lose it. I started my own "diet" with the #1 rule being No Eating After 6 p.m. and so far I have lost 85 pounds. That makes me 155 pounds and I'm very happy about that Although I'm not done yet. My goal was to lose 100 pounds. I'm going to go lower than that too.
I just wanted to start this diary to share my journey. Feel free to add your thoughts and input if you wish. Oh and I may even post some before and after photos soon. I'm proud of where I am now so I would love to share them.
Till next time,
-Love Kota

And I'm glad you decided to make a diary. For a while I thought you disappeared from here
Thank You! I think so too & yeah it's been a while since I've done anything on this site. Mostly because when I didn't have my scale I didn't know how much I weighed, but I have a scale again and I'm back!
My parents went out of town from last Tuesday till Saturday so I had a great time kicking back and relaxing. I watched movies and played my games and took bubble baths with my music as loud as I wanted it and danced around the house like a lunatic. I even ate the things I really wanted
Everyday they were gone I had my favorite breakfast in the world:
Eggs on a bed of Garlic & Olive Oil CousCous
My Vegetarian Bacon
& I splurged with Pancakes drizled with Strawberry Preserves and Maple Syrup
And for dinner everyday:
Spicy Boiled Peanuts
I know that's odd but those are my favorite things and I really wanted it. I felt good too but I couldn't help telling myself after I was done each time that I was a stupid fat ass. I thought for sure I would have gained a little weight by the time they got back and life would be back to normal but I was wrong! In fact, I lost more wieght. My pants are even looser to the point i have to wear a belt again. I'm going to have to go down another pant size again soon!
My splurging has gotten ridiculous lately for some reason. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm going to go ahead and come clean too. We bought our halloween candy yesterday (a lot) and I've already had three twix, one kit kat bar, one baby ruth, and one take five. All the fun size minis of course but still. I havn't gained any weight though which is good but If I don't stop I might. Normaly I have such good will power to just say no but latley I'm like "what the hell as long as it's a little?" Then in my eyes when I look back at what I've eaten altogether that "little" turns into a lot.
I can't ruin this for myself! I WILL NOT GAIN ANY WEIGHT BACK! I REFUSE!
Maybe it's just cause Halloween's coming up?

If I had the candy in reach I would have done the same exact thing. Sadly though we haven't bought ours yet... It's alright to enjoy the goodness every now and then Holidays don't happen often though, think of that.
hey read you post and just want to say you have done a great job on losing weight so far. Did you have all that candy in one sitting? If that candy is spread out over days then you have nothing to worry about. I'm sure that you can find room in your daily calories to squeeze a fun size candy bar every so often. I think you realize you cant do it all the time but if you do it once in a while you wont skip a beat. Plus, you cant undo in one day/one treat what you have worked so hard to accomplish. Keep up the good work and dont sweet the small stuff.

Thank You Very Much for that Matt. You're right. Everyone keeps reminding me I'm not going to gain it all back at once. I just have to start listening and stop freaking out about it cause I know stress will make you gain weight too. I'm just going to let it go and be happy. It's no big deal. I never eat candy anyway. I just must have a sweet tooth now for Halloween treats

Kota, they were just the fun size bars, it's all good, LOL.
We have a reputation in my neighborhood, which gets mobbed every year. My wife and I set up a table at the end of the driveway with a fireplace and hot cider, and give out roughly 200 of the full sized bars to the trick or treaters. I do have a sweet tooth, so it's rough on me.

lol that sounds really awesome that you do that. I bet the kids love you guys! especialy if you're giving out the full sized ones
but yeah I'm ok with it now. I still sneak one every now and then and tell myself it's fine cause they are small, its for the holiday, and I never eat it any other time anyway. Kit Kat bars are just too good to give away
Ok so I decided today was the last day I was eating any Halloween candy and it's time to get back to the strickness that is my diet. NO MORE FOOLING AROUND KOTA! Time to get serious again.
Anyway, going through all those old photos of me (and there's a lot) and comparing them to the new photos of me (also a lot) really shocked even me. I can't believe I ever looked like that before let alone left the house that way. Thankfully I woke up one day and decided it was time to lose the weight. I'm so much happier now than I was back then.
So yeah, no more little splurges here and there for a while. Time to crack down again. I'll let you know how it's going and if I slip up or anything.

Today I Voted for the first time ever! I'm 19. The feeling to put my voice out there and be heard is amazing. I love it! To celebrate we went out to eat my favorite food in the world, CHINESE! I feel NO GUILT whatsoever. Even if I did gain a pound or two back it won't rain on my parade today. It was just too good of a day
Also I urge you if you havn't yet to go buy GET SMART on DVD! The movie is hilarious and the actress Lindsay Hollister's part is SO FUNNY and SO AWESOME! She's in the ballroom scene dancing with Steve Carell in the light blue dress. PICK UP A COPY!
Seriously glad you are into voting, especially at your age! I hate it when I hear voter apathy coming from younger folks. I've been on my own kids for years about it.

Yeah this year I really dove into Politics since I'm old enough to vote now. I actualy really LOVE it. I used to know NOTHING at all nor did I even care to. I feel better knowing what's going on in the world and putting my voice out there as opposed to sitting back wondering, worrying, and bitching about shitt I don't understand. Don't get me wrong though, this is just my first year, I'm still new to this lol. I voted today and felt so great about it and tonight was the sweetest reward because I know I helped pick our new President
Hopefully someday your kids will hit a point where they realize it's important and they should get into it. It does seem overwhelming at first and at times it can be stressfull but it's important to be involved. It feels great!
