Rep Power: 4 | | I just slipped into my old jeans and my old shoes (both of which are pretty brand new) and they fit! This is absolutely amazing; it feels so indescribable! I bought them, but wore them only for a short time because they were too tight on me. My feet lost weight! How is that possible?
I'm still not going to wear my old jeans out in public 'cause I've got a little "pouch" still hanging out, but my size 28 jeans are starting to feel a little loose. When I'm working out, I have a hard time keeping my pants up in fear of them falling down!
I feel so freakin' amazing right now! |

My feet did the same thing. Lost about 25 pounds and my feet dropped a size and a half.
Guess the weight wasn't all in my butt! LOL
You know as good as it feels wearing smaller sizes in my clothes, for some reason it feels really good to know that my feet are smaller.
Makes me feel more lady like I guess.
Keep up the good work. |

Rep Power: 4 | | Looooonnnng weekend of drinking and gluttony. We spent the weekend at our friends' house again and had a lot of fun, but I was dying to get back home so that I could eat more healthily and stay on track. Of course I didn't. Next time we go, I have decided that I am packing food for the trip! I have lots more to write about, but I changed my mind about not going to the gym tonight and need to get ready to go! Damn, I really don't wanna step on the scale... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Gina, I don't know whether to hug you or to be totally weirded out by the fact that we are almost the same people LOL. I too am from Indiana, but closer to Seymour. I also enjoy scrapbooking, kareokee (which I believe I'm great at, but others tell me different), the color pink, etc.
It's great to see someone else on here who shares the same thoughts and feelings, and even likes! Good luck on your weightloss journey and I look forward to see you write your success story!! |

Rep Power: 4 | | I went to the gym last night and stepped on the scale again. I gained eight pounds back. EIGHT POUNDS! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO pissed at myself! How in the hell could I have let this happen?!?!?! No matter, now I know what I need to do from now on when we're not home on the weekends!
Thanksgiving won't be a problem for me at all. My real problem is the weekend sleepovers at friends' houses. Now that I know what the problem is, I can be better prepared for it next time. Next time we spend the night at our friends' house, I am packing every single meal! I'm seriously going to kick these eight pounds right in the ass! I am going back to the gym tomorrow! |

Rep Power: 35 | | Unless I am mistaken (and I have known to be from time to time, just ask my hubby! LOL) it cannot be possible for you to have gained 8 pounds in one weekend. No matter how much gluttony you indulged in. That means you would have had to have taken in 28,000 EXTRA calories!!!! That's above and beyond the usual 2000 that we need to just sustain life.
If I could guess at a reason for the extra weight I would say it sounds like water/sodium gain. I am not saying that some of it might not really be there but I don't think it would truly be 8 pounds.
Make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water and see if those numbers don't drop a bit.
Don't get discouraged.
Just be more proactive. Like you said try to pack food ahead of time. I know that for me it is always easier to be ahead of the problem rather than behind it. Not to say that I haven't ever found myself on the backside, just that I learned from those mistakes. And I know you will too.
Good Luck!
Have a Great Turkey Day...........in moderation of course. |

Rep Power: 4 | | | Bell, honey- Thank you so much for the encouragement. You're right, I shouldn't get discouraged, and I won't. My weight is always fluctuating. I've been doing well for the last two days. It was probably water retention due to the amount of sodium I took in. Our friend did prepare a very salty meal for us.
Anyhoo, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! I just wanted to take the opportunity to say that I am thankful for all the support I am getting here. This place is a Godsend and I don't think I'd be able to continue on my journey without it. Thank you! |

Rep Power: 4 | | It's been a horrible, horrible week. I didn't go to the gym much this week at all... I think only once. I did great on Thanksgiving, didn't overeat at all, in fact, only ate a little bit. But overall, I just feel like shit... I don't even wanna step on that scale for 3 weeks. I'm getting back into the grind of eating healthy again... I've just been in a major funk... |

Ashley- I know hon', I know. I do need to cheer up.
Ugh, I think I'm getting sick. My throat is getting scratchy and my back is KILLING ME! I had a bulging disc once, I'm wondering if it's recurring. Anyways, took a multi-vitamin to ward off anything I might be catching and am trying to lay off the smokes for a bit. Plenty of water helps, too!
Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! |

Rep Power: 35 | | | Sorry to hear that your not feeling well.
Know what you mean about the being discouraged thing. I have been there for just about the past 6 months. Hurt myshoulder in April and just like any typical adult I put off going to the doc until it was really bad. So just today I was told I can get back to my regular routine of exercise. Jsut in time too. I have gained like 20 of my poundage back! ACK!!!
Was down by 44. I'll get there again.
Come on, jump back on this wagon with me! Together we'll get it done. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
