Hows it going man? I just wanted to say I can completely related to how you feel about your parents. That is exactly what happened to me when I was growing up, and I came onto some serious depression. The great news for you is that you are starting to combat your weight at such a young age it is going to fly off(no joke intended).
Your still growing and I really wouldn't concentrate so much on calorie reduction if I were you because studies have said that calorie reduction while still growing(i.e. puberty) can hamper growth(height, muscles, etc). I would look more into what you need to maintain your weight and start exercising whether it be sports, weight lifting, running, whatever you like to do that keeps you active. At 13 and 5'8 you could easily grow another 4-6 inches and 220 some pounds wouldn't be that bad.
Just something I noticed that hasn't been pointed out yet. No matter what though, good job on taking control of yourself and remember you can do it. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Okay, sorry for not posting on here for like, a month.
I've been..lazy.
Anyways, I haven't lost *that* much weight, but then again, I haven't done that much to lose anything. I'm 100% satisfied with my results. I'm looking for indoor exercises (without equipment) so I can actually exercise, and not only eat healthy.
Anyways, seeya later. I'll give you more of an insight tomorrow or so. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | inside exercise Hi Ben,
Good for you for taking the initiative to do something inside. Exercise and eating healthy certainly do go hand in hand!
Shaun T has a new workout for teens. There are two workouts on the dvd. One for cardio, one for strength. The DVD is called Shaun Ts Get Real. It is 19.95. It has a good variety of exercises. You can check it out here: teambeachbody.com/jenbrown.
Also, there are many things you can do inside without equipment: jumping jacks, run in place, push ups, squats, lunges, burpees, the list goes on and on. You can find them demonstrated online if you google the exercise. Make sure when doing lunges and squats your knee doesn't go past your ankle.
Happy New Year!
