Mr WS ( ;-) )'s diary

Well I have been overweight all my life.

I reached (approximately) my current weight when I was about 16-17 years old (I am nineteen now). Exercise is always what seems to help. Eating can be a problem at times. At home I wouldn't eat terribly unhealthily, but I could and would when not at home, and have been so far in my first couple of months of university. I haven't put as much weight on as I feared in uni.

I seem to have a range of weight that varies between 278-295. I am about 288 I think now.

When I started uni it was my intention to go to the gym and go regularly. There was someone who was going to try and help me with reminding me to go and make sure I was going but that didn't quite work.

Anyway, I left it for weeks before deciding it was about time I went. Still I put it off. Then last Sunday I determined I couldn't put it off at all so I went and booked my induction. And I had that last night.

I am looking forward to going to the gym.

That's the basics so far. I will fill in a little more detail later.

Talking

Well I had my first proper gym session last night. I think it went well for a newbie. I am not feeling really achey at the moment, but the instructor assured me I will by tomorrow.

Hopefully, I will be able to get into the habit of going three times a week soon. After that I will try to make extra effort in changing my eating habits. This will likely be the hardest part.

First thing is to drink more water. I am starting to get into that habit. Next, portion sizes - I really have vast portions at times.

The next stage beckons.

Today has not been a good day. I have eaten rather unhealthily, drank a lot of milk as well...and have done little to no exercise.

I didn't get up until quite late today - well I stayed up quite late last night, and perhaps the gym session contributed to my tiredness.

Tomorrow I will try a bit of a healthier day food wise, but sadly no gym session as I am going to be busy working on an essay.

Tuesday will likely be my next gym visit as I will have finished this essay by then. I cannot put this work off otherwise I could have to resit my whole year of university.
