Rep Power: 0 | | OOOKKKKK, I finally admit I need help Well I was debating on whether or not to write in here because being held accountable OOOH NOOO lol. But I think Im pretty much tired or HATING that I have all the tools I need to succeed but am
either afraid that i wont be up for the challenge again cause i keep screwin it up or how people close to me will feel after i accomplish my goal. Im surrounded by people who love me, BUT when you start getting something they feel they can't achieve it gets negative and undermining really fast. So I try to keep my endeavors to myself sadly, when in actuality, I need ALL the help I can get. I lose 25 lbs then for some reason i taper off, and find excuses NOT to do it as frequently as I should. I mean it happens EVERY year. 6 months going heavy then by the 7th month BAM goes to 5 days a week then 4 then maybe 2 then next thing u know im hating myself because im like how did it get to be 2 weeks with no workouts? Which is Pretty stupid because I dont diet to lose weight I just workout an hour a day and I lose my 1.5 lbs a week
Im willing to check in with people who need it and hold other people accountable that need it as well :-) Just Contact or add me. I sooo just want to go further than I have. I want to meet people who strive to do the same or HAVE :-) always awesome.
To all of you who may have the DVDs or Equipment I have I will List mine so you can tell me your regime and what helps you out or maybe someone can help me make my stuff more exciting if that helps my 6 month Problem. Thank You guys soo much. I want this sooo badly. Its like I collect things thinking it will get better when I want to STOP and use everything I have. I know it is MORE than adequate. Because when I start excercising I LOOOVE it, I just never keep it up :-( All these things are VERY effective, I just need to make it stick this go round. The Firm: (I Have the Original box the TransFirmer Box and the Sculpting Stick) TransFirmer Series: Supercharged Sculpting, Aerobic Body Shaping & Ultimate Calorie Blaster Jiggle Free Series: Abs, Arms, Buns Fast and Firm Series: Upper Body Sculpt, Express Cardio, Lower body Sculpt 1 The Firm Power Yoga 3in1 Bootcamp Mix Fat Burning Cardio Toning (came with a medium Resistance Cord) Cardio, Body and Ab Sculpt (the Original 3 and the Newer 3) Complete Aerobic Weight Training Cross Trainers Super Sculpting Carmen Electra Aerobic Striptease: All 5 Dvd's Nautilus (I have The Bowflex Selectech Weights 50lbs, the Pilates Weight Balls, Excercise Ball, Yoga strap (cloth and elastic) and Bamboo Blocks, and yoga mats) Pilates Ball Workout Balance Ball Beginners Workout Deluxe Yoga Workout Fitness Pilates
All 30 workouts I feel Should be more than enough oh yeah I even have one of those "Yourself Fitness" dvd's that came with the McDonalds adult happy meals (with the digital woman) so I'm telling you there is NOOO excuse for me. I mean if ANYONE has suggestions (weightloss, Aerobics, Motivation, your story) I will appreciate it. I will add Pics within the next few hours :-( something I REAAALLY dont wanna do.) so please be kind lol All of You have an AWESOME day |

Rep Power: 11 | | I wish you the best of luck... This is the first time i've ever really taken a serious effort to lose weight. I can't say im one of those people who have tried everything because this is the firts time. but frankly i am so worried i will be just like all the other people who say they've tried a million different things and always end up putting the weight back on a few months later. more then losing the weight i think my main goal is to stay motivated because the hardest part is sticking to it, losing weight just comes with it. the problem is you cant just do it till you get the number you want, It has to be a life change which is never easy no matter what you try to change. |

Rep Power: 12 | | hey, I am working on some accountability too, at least you can get multiple montsh of good LOL I seem to be a week at a time lately. Sounds like you have some good workout DVD's etc, I have never been able to work out well at home though I would love to. I do work with someone and we go to same gym in morning--coincidence so I ahve found having her 'check on me' when I havent been there does help. Maybe there is a similar system for whether or not you have worked out?
best of luck |

Rep Power: 7 | | Just want to wish you luck in your weight loss journey! I know it's hard and I find it very hard to be consistent...I do fine for a while and then I totally go OP and gain it all back. So you are not alone...just keep trying and never, never give up! |

Rep Power: 12 | | Wow... I'd say you have quite the collection of DVDs and workout gear. So what do you think of the Carmen Electra aerobic striptease series? I was wondering if it was worth the $$ or not.
I too have a variety of workout DVDs, but they're mostly belly dance. I've added in some Tae Bo, yoga and a couple others as well. I have free weights for some strength training too. Needless to say I like to change things up a lot to prevent boredom. That's been one of my biggest enemies.
For dealing with those that you care about (and care about you) who react in a negative matter to your success... one thing you have to keep as a personal truth is it is their problem and not yours. If they can't be happy with your succeeding in losing weight, if they can't see it as an inspiration to succeed in their lives and seek instead to undermine you... they have some serious issues. If you want this bad enough, you really REALLY want to lose the weight, live a healthier life & have a healthier lifestyle... you have to put yourself first in this. Nothing wrong with having self-centered reasons for wanting to lose weight, and even if you have more altruistic ones, the one quote you must keep in mind... "to thine own self be true". I'm not saying be mean to these people, but if they start coming at you with little snide comments meant to undermine your success, call 'em on it or ignore it. Just don't let it get you down!
Ah hell... sorry for the lecture. I just hate seeing that happen to people... gets me all riled up.
But you've got a good place to keep yourself accountable in this forum. Best of luck to you! |

Rep Power: 0 | | No you're not going off. LOL I need to keep hearing it, because sometimes I forget that it IS my journey JUST mine, and the ones making the comments are the ones who feel that they can't do it themselves, and sometimes it gets discouraging I guess. Like I'm leaving the group lol if you will. But I guess wanting to not look down and see tummy and have thighs that DON't rub together is too much for them to try to get too lol.
Well The carmen DVDs I Enjoy doing on my light days The Aerobic Striptease (#1) I love it because its an awesome stretch and pretty low impact but I still feel im doing something
the Fit To Strip one is more of a workout, she has one of her trainers helping her with excercises and they have sections on that DVD where you can customize the individual ones to your lenght longer or shorter if you want or for specific areas, lol another dvd I thought would be light but you do break a sweat if u keep up.
the Advanced Aerobic Striptease Are Actual Routines that you practice and learn. I think its kinda cool, because after a few days of the 1st 3 I started to get that tummy definition that she has (no where NEAR as good cause I was starting off) but it gets you excited to look at you LOL The Lap Dance one is basically just chair routines you learn and do, I dont use that one as much cause i cant practice on anyone yet, lol its not as workout like as the first 4. the Hip Hop one maaaan since I dont dance it gets me lol but she is basically going through a dance routine with you step by step then you do the whole thing at the end. Its pretty cool, but as soon as you learn it theres nothing really to look forward to when u got it down. I like them all just because they are completely different from my other workouts and my hips get ALOT looser when I do her videos for a week or two, kinda makes you feel like you are doing something LOL. If I got them seperate I'd get the 1st 3 or 4 but I got them all together cause I'd hate that there are DVDs in that kind of series I dont have LOL.
She has two New ones that I dont have yet (Vegas Strip & In The Bedroom), I wouldnt mind checking them out, I like her as an instructor she seems really friendly to me, and not as irritating as some of the chicks that are on my other DVDs. and its really easy to learn
I've always wanted to get a belly dancing DVD, maybe i will after I find some hips on me lol

Rep Power: 22 | | Good to see you started a diary. ACCOUNTABILITY!!
It does look like you have every tool available, now take control, start your new lifestyle, and get to where you want to be! You have a great attitude, I'm sure if you get moving in the right direction, you'll crush it. DAY by day is definately the way to look at this. THROW AWAY THE ALL OR NONE THINKING. Small, consistent steps wins this race!! Good luck and I'll be cheering for you. |

Rep Power: 53 | | I agree with JZ and Phoenyx on all points. And as was mentioned, you can always find support here, hon. Even if the outside world doesn't always get it.
Besides, JZ may not be sayin' it, but he's thinkin' it... Who doesn't love a woman who uses a strip tease video series to get fit
Well, I'm pretty sure he was thinkin it anyway... I know I was! Besides you had me at Joinnnn ussss... |
