Fresh Start >^..^<

So here we go. A fresh start. New diary... Not that I'm leaving the old one behind. It will still be a source of inspiration and motivation for me, But I got a little lost over the past few months. Got wrapped up in life and forgot about the living well part.

At my heaviest I was 210 lbs. My lowest was 148. Right now I'm 174. I got married on August 8 of this year, quit my job and moved about 45 minutes North of my family. I've been hanging out at home for the past 4 months being a bum, gaining weight. So December first was my fresh start.

My husband and I have committed to at least 30 minutes of exercise together each night. We're also picking up a Wii Fit for a little fun. Beginning in January we're thinking of trying out Krav Maga/ Kickboxing or something like that. He's also gained a lot of weight back since we've been married. So we both need to lose about 40-50 pounds and the plan is to do it together.

I plan on weighing myself once a week for official weight and taking measurements once a month.

So here goes...

Hello!
Just being nosey and moseing around... (can't spell)... I liked you're name so had to stop by.. hehe

Those WII Fits look awesome.I think Santa is going to get a WII for my boys this year...*wink wink* lol
They do look like a fun way to get a little activity in..

I'm kind of restarting too.. I've gained about 20 lbs the last 5 months or so.. But I'm tired of feeling like crap. So....

We can do it !

So far so good. Gotta start keeping track of exactly what I'm eating. Made a trip to the mall last night to pick up the Wii Fit but they didn't have any in stock. Trying to get the house cleaned up and heating up a bowl of smart chili for lunch. Seems like even with just two of us there's always something to clean. I worked out on the stationary bike and the treadmill the past few days. I prefer the elliptical best. I feel like I get a better all over work out. It's not always an option since there are only two of them at the gym at my apartment complex. I should probably try to get a session in during the day while everyone is at work, but I like to go with my husband.. :P

I find it very sweet that your husband and you are committing to this together!

If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? You currently weigh near the same as me, and now I'm curious. :P

Best of wishes to the both of you, in your frest start. hehe

I'm 5'4. I have a sister that's 5'8 and a brother that is almost 6 feet tall. My sister and I both are struggling with weight issues but she carries hers a bit better since she's so tall.

I'm happy that my husband is sticking to this with me. We keep each other motivated.

So these past few days have been going well. I went to a party and maybe ate too much. Finger foods are sometimes hard to keep track of. I've been doing a lot of cooking at home trying to get in more veggies and fruits. I haven't weighed myself this week yet. But I'm feeling good

Hubby and I are doing awesome as far as marriage is concerned, but Blah on the keeping up with the exercise. I started keeping a journal on me and writing everything I eat and all my exercise. Just kind of hit a funk. I was looking at my weight loss chart on this site and my lowest was 148 in Dec '07. Not feeling too hot about the 30lbs I gained back. I worked hard to get that off so why would I do that to myself again. No use moping though right? I just need to go hop on the elliptical for a while.

I'm trying to get back to my original low by the end of April. I need to bust ass but I think I can do it.

So I start a new job on Monday. Hopefully it will help to get me motivated and not feel like such a schlub. I found my copy of Hip Hop Abs and Power 90 so I'll have to add those to the elliptical workouts.

So my husband was feeling blah the other night so I talked him into breaking out the Wii sports games. I had been at my parents house a few weeks ago and played a few rounds of bowling and tennis with them and had a blast. He wasn't feeling it at first but once he got the hang of it we had a blast. I kicked his ass at bowling and boxing but he killed me in tennis. We jumped into the Wii fit right after that and I weighed in at 178. Pleh. So today I'll try to get him to go to the gym with me when he gets home from work.

My job on Monday did not work out at all. They totally misrepresented what the position would be and didn't have anything set up for me so I sat in a room by myself and texted my husband all day.. So I let them know that the job really wasn't for me, thanks for the opportunity and all that but I wouldn't be back. I felt bad but I have to do whats best for me.

So back on track and back to the gym.
