Rep Power: 0 | | Tina is sayin it like it is, Im afraid! Without any exercise to get the metabolism going its gonna be hard! I remember in Greece we had to walk everywhere, and I probably did several miles each day there, and lost ten pounds eating whatever I wanted! Unfortunately, its a necessary 'evil' that you really do need to try to make time for. I know Im preachin' to the choir here, but even a short walk for 20 min can really help that scale move!
Still, your cals are not bad at ALL, and Id LOVE to already be at your weight! I WILL be, but Im impatient! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Yeah, you guys are right, I need to start doing at least something, at least 10 minutes for starters. I need to get back my muscle strength. I think I'll start with a few sets of ab work, legs and arms, and then we'll see. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Well, I did 10 min of calisthenics yesterday while watching TV. It was not bad, I could do it again. The problem is that it "woke me up", so I was not sleepy at 9pm, so I had to stay up till 9:30, and today I'm very-very sleepy and tired. I guess I should not have waited till 8 pm to exercise! But my tummy was full from dinner earlier. I'll either need to do my workout at 7, or have a snack after I come home from work and do it before dinner. Not sure which one will work better. Hubby does not like to wait to long after he comes home from work either, so I think I'll try 7pm option first. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | YEAH for exercising!!!! what time do you get home? i'd say do it immediately and get it out of the way, but i know you normally snack after work. maybe try switching it up and see what works best...trial and error..i suppose |

Rep Power: 0 | | I'm in somewhat crappy mood today. Kind of annoyed at the lack of progress, but it is my own fault, because I've been eating higher calories.
Over last 28 days my average calories eaten were 1258, and average calories burned were 1570, 312 calorie difference, and I lost 0.5 lb. Also, I neglected to add up occasional 20-30 calorie snacks, which probably more then I realized. I guess I have to work hard for weight loss. Darn it, I was hoping I could get off easy. |

I know you really want that scale to move, but try, if you can, to concentrate on other benefits. Sometimes it just takes a little while for the body to react to changes. Keep making the good choices, and use some of that blind determination, it helps me!
| Above are your own words to me during a very discouraging/frustrated period. It is always harder to listen to your own advice, but these guys are right. You've been sick and I'm not trying to make excuses. IT isn't like you have GAINED anything back and you've LOST so you are on the right track. Our bodies readjust and DO plateau(youknow i know that) and 1258 is not a terrible calorie breakdown - look at it this way - now you know where you need to be to maintain or lose slowly. I think once you continue to exercise again and focus on the overall health aspect of it, you'll be fine. Back on track and losing in no time! You've done great and you will succeed.....remember persistence & determination & patience is the key!!
(we all wish we'd get off easy but look at how many of us are here and it just isn't!!)
Keep your chin up!

Rep Power: 0 | | I KNEW It, I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!!!! Skyler, I knew you were going to turn my own words on me one day! Ha-ha-ha! Thanks, girl! Yeah, I know all that stuff mentally, but sometimes what I feel and what I think are two different things. I just needed to bitch, you know? I've been eating too much to loose fast, so I cannot expect loosing fast like I did earlier.
Thank you all for support!
Ok, I did another bad thing today. Coworkes invited me out for lunch, and instead of eating my sensible 300-calorie lunch, I said "sure, I'll go out with you!" Darn it, why don't I have any self control?
Well, I don't think I did horribly. I had a half cup of rice, and pork with veggies with sweet and sour sauce. And 2 small spring rolls. According to Fidtay, all of that plus breakfast totalled only 900 cals, so if I'm hungry later, I can eat small dinner.
Will definitely need to exercise later. Maybe I can do more then yesterday. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Ok, here's the good, the bad and the ugly from last night:
The good: I exercised again. Did 5 minutes of strength training, and 10 minutes on the bike.
The bad: As you already know, the lunch outing at work.
The ugly: I had one white russian drink instead of dinner. I could not believe that a shot of baileys was like 100 calories! Yuck. I had 2 shots of baileys and 1 of kahlua in half cup milk. So I downed a dinner worth of calories in one little mixed drink. Why all the best tasting things in life are so expensive in calories? I could have had 2 huge bowls of ice cream with less calories then this one little white russian. Sigh. Another learning experience, I guess. I did enjoy it though. So smooth and relaxing. |

Rep Power: 0 | | NTL, don't stress over it! Today is a NEW day. Focus on what you eat now, not yesterday or the day before that. You'll be fine.. we all have our slip ups. Mine for instance was the darn chicken platter last night at dinner. There were perfectly good salad options! But noooo I had togo eat that crap. OY! Girl we WILL get there. Keep on working on that e xercise and.. you'll be fine!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hey NTL - sorry to turn your words back on you! HA HA!!! its just the truth. And NL is right. If you dont EVER treat yourself, there is more chance of all this not working and we all know that that is not going to happen with us, SOOOOOOO, today is a new day...and it's friday, no less! Great job on the exercising AGAIN. That is surely going to help. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
