So yesterday I ran/walked for thirty minutes and hit 2.21 miles.
And today...
12/25/08
Christmas Day!
Ugh, the food was too good and I ate too much.
Brunch (I slept really late making presents) - Rice, fish, soup, kimchi.
And I had some cake.
Dinner - Are you ready for this? Appetizers like stuffed pepper, two types of salad, bean soup, one beef tamale. Then hot cocoa, a piece of homemade non-fat cheesecake. And some chocolate.
Seriously, I'm so full right now that I'm going to wait a bit before I begin my nightly workout. Wish me luck! I'm going to look up some dance routines on YouTube and try to beat 2.21 miles on the treadmill. (So I always will be doing thirty minutes non-stop on the treadmill, trying to get as many miles as possible.)
A NEW FEATURE ON MY WEIGHT DIARY
I will also be posting titles of songs I found to be helpful on the treadmill.
Misery Business (Paramore) - The beat PERFECT for 5mph running.
Rockstar (Miley Cyrus) - Ditto, a bit slower than above but still good.
Fergalicious (Fergie) - This one is more inspirational. Haha.
WISH ME LUCK!

I haven't weighed myself in a while but I'm around 185-ish. I did lose down to 170 lb before but regained it. As for height, I *think* I'm around 5'6". I'll know for sure tomorrow.
I want to be 140 pounds or less by next year June.
I just got back from the treadmill. Didn't dance today, though. 2.32 miles in thirty minutes. Tired but I feel refreshed.
Hi Rosa, looks like your doing great so far, and have a great plan. We have pretty similar goals by the looks of it...I'm 5ft7" and 185lbs, want to be about 150lb which would be a good weight for my height. I love the idea of adding songs that have a great beat, so important when working out! I'm going to add your two mentioned songs to my ipod!
At 188 and wanting to be 140 by June, you would need to lose 2 pounds a week... that's perfectly doable and a healthy number too! You got this girl! Hot by Summer '09!
PHEW! Glad to hear that.
Unfortunately I can't run tonight (well, technically it's Sunday, but you know what I mean) because although we didnt' stay the night at the sauna, we left there at midnight and took showers there. And it's too late at night to rustle up the treadmill.
I think it's time I better organized this diary. :]
I will be updating my thread in the following form:
Date:
Workout:
Miles/30Min on Treadmill:
Weight:
Gain/Loss:
Comments:
I'm also adopting my own point system like lovelylily has done. But I'll be thinking things through before I post the form. [I will be starting this tomorrow, I believe, with each week starting on Monday.]
So today...
Date: December 28th, 2008 Workout:Treadmill walk/run. Miles/30Min on Treadmill: 2.55 Weight: 191.4 lb Gain/Loss: + 2 lb Comments: I was horrified to find the 9 in the tens place, which would explain why I ran harder on the treadmill, setting a new record of 2.55. My usual is 2.2-2.3 miles in thirty minutes. I'm guessing the sudden 2 pounds gain has to do with the food I've been eating yesterday and today...and also the fact that I did not get to run yesterday.
Hey Rosa, don't worry about the gain too much...are you drinking heaps of water, with all that sweating you sure need to! You go girl, way to go on that treadmill, you will have that weight off in no time!
I brought to work this morning a smartwater bottle. It's HUGE! One bottle equals to four 8oz servings, and I plan on drinking two bottles each day.
Today I danced a bit with my sister, but not the sweat-sweat-kind because I was in my regular outfit and can't get too sweaty. Yikes!
Later on I'll be teaching sword martial arts (I do this every Mondays and Wednesdays, and learn on Saturdays), and I'll be doing all the exercises myself, too. It makes it slightly harder to maintain discipline, but I'm going the full way this time. Two pounds a week...this is going to work!
2 large bottles of water: +/- 1 point Treadmill: At least 2.2 miles in 30 minutes = 1 pt, at least 3 miles in 40 minutes = 2 pts. No treadmill = -5 points. Snacks: (No more than three instances per day) +/- 1 point Drink: (Free from soda on the restriction list*) +/- 1 point
I haven't decided what my personal reward will be.

DRINK RESTRICTION LIST
These are the drink brands I will be staying away from. The brand includes "Diet" versions of the drink as well. The list will, hopefully, expand with time.
x Coke
x Pepsi
x 7-Up
x Sprite
x Sierra Mist
x Mountain Dew
x Any energy/caffeine drink except coffee
x Dr. Pepper
x Orange/Grape/Other fruit-flavored soda with no specific brand
I couldn't say "all soda" because there's Fanta in Icee and I love love love strawberry limeade and Martinelli ciders. Besides, I don't even get these drinks often (once a month at most,) so it shouldn't affect the weight loss much.
Today I had no breakfast and had a very late lunch. I ate a lot at lunch because there wasn't a set portion and I couldn't keep track of how much I was eating. So no dinner! I'm not that hungry, anyway. I've been drinking lots of water.
I've never been so determined!!

I'm home. I'm not that hungry because of the massive lunch and water, but I think my mind is telling me that I am just because I didn't eat dinner. More of a psychological effect.
I'm going to work out, take a shower, study, and then go to sleep. Of course, I will weigh myself!
