I'd love to do other types of exercises but time doesn't allow me it. | Thanks so much! I think YOU'RE doing AMAZINGLY! I use the elliptical because there's NO WAY I could use the treadmill for half an hour. My flat feet would die. |

Rep Power: 9 | | I hope everyone's New Year was GREAT! I went out last night with friends but didn't drink! I brought along my own little water bottle and refrained from munchies and alcohol.
I went to the gym when I finally dragged myself out of bed this morning and did 40 minutes of cardio + weight training. I really didn't feel like doing any of it but I knew I'd hate myself later. I weighed in at 170.4. So really, I'm not far from hitting 169. Just need it to happen - soon.
I ALSO got my semester grades posted today and my grades this past semester are by far the best grades I've ever received since coming to college. Super excited for that. As a reward to myself for working out habitually and doing well in school this semester, I went shopping! OK if there's one thing I like more than eating, it's shopping. Retail therapy trumps all. I'm SUPER PUMPED for my new purchases so I took pictures of it. SO BEAUTIFUL. Enjoy -- I know the guys won't appreciate it as much as the women. Haha

169
I know this may not seem like a lot to many of you, but I haven't seen the numbers 1-6-X in YEARS. I'm so excited!

Rep Power: 9 | | I had a really good day today! I woke up and went to the gym - did my cardio + weight training. The scale said I'm exactly 169.0 which is really nice. I know that it's probably better if I don't get on the scale every day, so I'm going to try and just check my weight every OTHER day. It's a big struggle for me, so hopefully I have enough will power!
Also, had a lot of downtime today so I checked out the chat area of the forum. I LOVE IT. I met so many new people and they're just so friendly and helpful. It just makes my weight loss journey more interesting and less tedious.
What I'm really pumped for is the Weight Loss Challenge that starts on Tuesday! SOOO EXCITED. Our team is totally going to DOMINATE. Hopefully. IMPORTANT: ALSO, ALSO, ALSO, I'm turning 21 next week and I know I want to go out and drink with my friends. However, I also know that I don't want to throw away all my hard work. If I just cut down my calories earlier that day, will I be OK to drink without throwing my weight out of wack?
Total Caloric Intake: 1495 Calories Expended: 30 Minutes Cardio + 30 Minutes Weight Training (Where can I get a Heart Rate Monitor? Cost? Thanks!) |

Rep Power: 9 | | Great workout day, not so great food intake day. Today was my cardio day and I did 55 minutes combined on the elliptical!
I just kept snacking all day so that's my pitfall. I ate almonds, grapefruit (2), Honey Nut Cheerios, salad w/ light dressing on the side, 3 oz. chicken breast, half a cookie, etc. I'm sure the list could go on for a little longer. If I went over my 12-1400 calories for the day, then, whatever. I can live with myself!
THREE DAYS UNTIL I TURN 21!
So EXCITED. |

Rep Power: 17 | | Hey, just wanted to say sorry that I didn't get to talk to you yesterday. You came into the chat room and I had a phone call, and you left before it was done, hehe. So I just wanted to pop in and say hi!
You sound like you're doing really good on the exercise and everything! Congrats on getting in the 160's. I hope to be there soon myself!
Oh and don't feel bad, a 40 cal ice cream is really low in calories, so it's all good! |
