Rep Power: 0 | | 20 pounds by Valentines Hello everyone. I am on a quest to lose 20 or more pounds by Valentines day.
I lost 49 pounds a couple years ago but in the last two years I have been diagnosed with thyroid problems and started taking medication. This along with the fact I have not been eating well has led me to gain back about 20 pounds.
I plan on losing this 20 pounds by valentines. I started on January 1st 2009 and have lost 3 pounds and 1/2" off of my midsection. I will try and post some updates here from time to time, however I am keeping everything on my blog.
I do need some moral support though. I would like you to visit my blog and post a comment about my progress. Leave your website or blog address and I will do the same for you.

Rep Power: 217 | | 20 lbs in 6 weeks is a fairly big number to put up given your current weight... goals that are realistic are more easily accomplished and will keep the weight off...
Aim for 1 percent of your body weight a week and by the time VD comes - you'll be closer to your goal than you are today...
Much success

Rep Power: 0 | | Here is an update:
Started Jan 1, 2009
Starting weight = 216
Starting measurement at midsection/gut = 43"
Today(Jan 12, 2009)
Weight = 210.8
I feel comfortable with my goal to lose 20 pounds by valentines. I am following the plan laid out in the book "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman, which is what I used a couple years ago when I lost 49 pounds.
I charted daily during that time and averaged about 1/2 pound per day. So given that same average I should be able to reach my goal.
5.2 pounds lost so far so I am on track to lose the 20 by Valentines. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Weight Update Hello there everyone. I wanted to update you on my weight loss goals.
Today is Wednesday January 28, 2009 and this morning I weighed 204 pounds.
I started out at 216 pounds so I have lost 12 pounds so far. I really wanted to have lost 14 pounds by now, so I am behind a little bit. But, as long as I make 20 pounds by valentines I will be happy.
I am on track and have only 8 pounds left to go. WooHoo!!!
I am keeping my blog up to date more than this forum. If you want to see my blog just view my profile on this site and there you will find my blog web address. They will not let me post it on this thread. |

(and there's no links allowed) | By your suggestion I should aim for the following:
Week 1 = Start @ 216 -- End at 213.8
Week 2 = 213.8 -- 211.7
Week 3 = 211.7 -- 209.6
Week 4 = 209.6 -- 207.5
Week 5 = 207.5 -- 205.4
Week 6 = 205.4 -- 203.3
This would be a total of 12.7 pounds in 6 weeks. Hmmm... Since I have already lost 12 pounds I think I'll stick with my plan. Seems it's working out better than yours.
Not to brag here but Dr. Joel Fuhrman's Eat to Live book is the best program out there. This is for losing weight AND keeping it off. I have looked at averaging about a half pound each day and have accomplished this fairly easy by following his book.
Maybe you should check it out.
Cheers! |

Maybe she should check it out??? Have you seen what she has accomplished?
Maybe you should ask he about what she has done to lose weight AND keep it off.

I'll try to be good.... lol | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
