I found the BEST tea ever and I love the taste of it! It's called. .wait hold on I have to go check. . .okay it's vanilla Hazelnut from bigelow and I also have the same flavor from Lipton but I don't like that one as much, there are so many flavors of tea out there you just gotta play around and find one that you like I used to HATE tea! I also put splenda in mine. one thing that helped me with the huger at night was to eat dinner a little later and drink lots of water and I go to bed full and actually sleep better!

Keep up the good work you can do it! be patient and don't get to discouraged. .this takes time and you will be so much happier in the long run!

Question for anyone reading: have you noticed any red stretch marks on your body as you gained weight? As soon as I hit the 190's, I started noticing really bad stretchmarks around my bellybutton area. It looks like I got clawed by an animal!! Are they there to stay or will they fade over time as I lose weight? I think I may start to put coconut oil on them and see if that helps!

Mom24: Looks like we're online at the same time!! hehe. I tried some mint tea which I really enjoy but Ive noticed that green tea helps in that it empties out my stomach the next day (if you know what i mean). The type i drink is called Dieters Green Tea. I dont remember the company though..but if definately keeps me running to the bathroom the next day LOL

what I do is is put two bags of the flavored tea and one bag of the green tea in my coffee pot and brew it like I would coffee. I bought some of that dieters tea too but I didn't think it worked so I just stuck to regular ol' green tea and apples!! apples are a natural laxitive and clean you right out! My fav is the honey crunch apples they are to die for!

oh they have those flavored holiday teas too there is one called ginger bread or something and it is amazingly good and has no calories. .although I'm not sure tea does anyway. .I never really looked at that.

Thanks so much for the suggestions Mom24! Yea I definately need to incorporate more fruits and veggies in my diet. Im craving apples now lol

Dedicated: No problem!!! I know you will do so well on this journey and will get to goal in no time!

So i have some good news!! As of this morning I weighed in at 198!!!!!!! I'm officially out of the 200's!!!!! I never want to go back there again. I can finally join Club 190's now

My eating went well today again..the only bad thing I had was a medium caramel latte with whip but hopefully it wasn't too bad in calories..next time I will skip the whip for sure! Oh also I exercised on the bike for about 20 minutes while watching the show Biggest Loser! Its definately motivating and makes me want to get up and work out at the gym for hours. Well anyways its kind of late so I"m going to catch up on some diaries and head to bed. Gnite everyone!

Ok its 4am in the morning and I cant fall asleep!!!!! Today wasn't too great..I mostly ate out and I think I went over my calories ahh well tomorrows another day.. I'm going to go grocery shopping tomorrow and get some healthy food. Right now, we dont have much in the house so thats why I sometimes have to resort to eating out. I'll probably just get some whole wheat wraps, chicken, and salad. I also found this really yummy yogurt thats sweetened with splenda for only 35 calories per serving!! I'll try and see if I can find some low calorie creamy dressings since I dont really like the oil based ones. Ok well heres hoping tomorrow goes better! Gnite

I found this questionnaire on some of the other diaries so I decided to fill it out for myself..

1. What is your current height and weight?
Height is 5'6.6, current weight is 198.0 as of this morning.

2. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
Somewhere between 120-135. I wont be sure till I get closer

3. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
I would love to be 160 four months from now so thats about 38 pounds to lose and a little less than 10 pounds a month

4. Why do you want to lose weight?
I want to feel better about myself. I'm sick and tired of being embarassed everytime I walk down the street because I think people are staring at how big I am. I just want my self esteem back and I want to feel pretty again. I want to go into a mall and walk out with cute clothes and I want to be able to join all my friends when they go out rather than sit at home in hiding because of my embarassment about my weight. Theres alot more but i'll stop here for now lol..

5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
Theres not a specific event I can think of. My friends birthday is in the beginning of May and I would love to look atleast decent for that. Ohh and I want to lose it for the summer..last summer the weather was sooooo hot and I couldn't pull off my typical attire of hoodies and sweats. I ended up resorting to large sized tshirts while the rest of my friends wore cute dresses I know I could have worn cute clothes too but I guess thats where the self esteem thing comes in..

6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
The only obstacle I can think of is myself. I tend to give up easily when I dont get fast results and I think thats a major downfall. Also sometimes I tend to give in to my cravins easily so thats something I have to work on as well.

7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I think its because of all the fad diets I did a few years back. I would always lose weight and gain it back plus some. After years of that, I topped off at where I am now at around 200 pounds.

8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Definately eating healthier, avoiding fast food, cooking at home more often, and incorporating as much exercise as I can.

9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I have lost weight in the past but it was all done with fad diets..thats why I'm here now at the biggest I've ever been.

10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
As I said above, the weight loss happened with fad diets. I eventually couldn't keep them up and just binged for months which lead me to gain more weight than I had started off with.
11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Definately! I have a journal at home that I try to write my food consumption in. Well its more like I plan my meals out in advance and follow through on them. I try to only drink water or green tea.

13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
Not at all..I dont cook period! Thats a major downfall of mine..the only thing I can make is toast, eggs, and sandwiches.

14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
Pretty much everyday..even if its something small like a coffee from starbucks. I normally go to any place that has coffee and will get some sort of sugary snack type food from there as well. Oh and I also love sushi which is not unhealthy, but my portion sizes are way too big.
15. What are your three favorite foods?
Sushi, pasta, sandwiches

16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
Sushi restaurant ( I forget the name), BPs, Tim Hortons

17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Cut down on my portions, eat only when hungry, try to get in ATLEAST 4 small meals a day.

18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I'm not sure..I'm thinking ALOT..I think my self image would be more positive and that would allow me to be more outgoing and try more things. I would be more confident and possibly have more of a social life. I dont know if this is the right way of thinking but thats how I feel.

19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
All the time

20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Always

21. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
Yes, I noticed I've been doing it lately ever since my parents have been commenting on my weight and telling me to eat less (not in a mean way or anything but they are more concerned because of health issues)

22. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
I eat when I'm sad, or depressed. I have trouble getting food in when I'm nervous however.
23. Do you eat as a reward?
I havent noticed..the only thing I can think of is I tend to eat after a long hard day of school so I guess I feel like I deserved it which can be thought of as rewarding myself?

24. Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
Yes, especially while watching TV. I'm normally too busy typing away on the computer to eat.

25. What do you normally eat for a meal?
Umm things with lots and lots of sugar. Ive had chocolate for lunch and dinner in the past:S YIKES

26. What type of snacks do you eat?
CHOCOLATE, donuts, cookies, chips, candy, cake, list goes on

27. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
I'm not. The only exercise I get is walking back and forth to classes. I go to a large university so it takes about 10 minutes or so to get to each class. I normally end up walking atleast 30-35 minutes. I'm definately going to join the gym within the next month. I'm just making it as a reward for when I lose 8 more pounds and get to 190.
28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
See above

29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
When I used to go to the gym, I loved using the elliptical and bike. Cant think of a third one...maybe a sport like badminton?

30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
The mirror! I want to look in it one day and be happy with my body.

31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
Yes I'm trying to set rewards at each 10 pounds I lose
190- gym membership
180-haircut
170-new shoes and hair colour
160-lip injections to plump them up lol
150(goal)-new wardrobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

omgosh!!! now that we are in the 190s... 160 is only like 30-and-some-odd-pounds away... that is sooooo amazing!!! i didnt notice it was that close LOL!

i hope you have an amazing day...

ohhh and about the stretchmarks... =T
thats one of the key factors that made me get
my rear in gear... i started getting them on my
belly and enough was enough...

ive been taking vitamin e pills... and poking a
hole in them and rubbing it on my stretchmarks...
ive been at this for a couple of days now... 4...
and the marks arent as red.. =D maybe this will
help you too... mine were pretty cheap...
got them at the dollar store... and something way
cheaper to buy than bio oil D:

Thanks Angelica!! I know I'm so excited to be out of the stupid 200's!!!!! I was getting so sick of seeing those same numbers over and over again.. Oh and about the Vitamin E, its funny you should mention because I was just talking to my friend 10 minutes ago and asked her about the stretchmarks and she said the exact same thing..to break the pill and rub it over them..I will definitely have to get on that now..apparently if they are still red, its still the beginning and we can get rid of them but once they turn white they are there to stay.

Ok so this morning I weighed and the scale was reading between 196.5 to 198. But the numbers were mostly 197 so I think I"ll just stick to that for now. The further I get away from the dreaded 200's the better. Oh and I went grocery shopping and bought a whole bunch of healthy food. I found this yummy coconut flavoured yogurt that was only 35 calories!! I bought some of that ready cooked chicken that was sliced up into little pieces. Since I'm such a horrible cook, I think that would be good for me. I also bought some tortilla wraps, lettuce, and salsa to make some healthy wraps. I cant wait to make them tomorrow!

I just calculated and realized that if I lose 2 pounds a week starting now, I'll be at my goal weight (150) by August 20th!

Thanks for the site hun! Its definately worth a try..

I kinda cheated today I started out good my making my healthy wrap but I went to school to study and it all went downhill from there. I had a caramel latte with whip, 2 cookies, 2 bags of chips and a frappacino! Ugh I feel grosse I never want to eat again LOL Ahh well, I will make up for it tomorrow..

I decided to only weigh myself once a week now every Saturday. I think that will be better for me mentally since I will hopefully see SOME loss by the end of each week and it will keep me going. Its super late so I'm going to bed. Gnite!
