Rep Power: 11 | | | My Journey to Losing 50+ Pounds.. Hello everyone!! Ive been a member of this forum for a couple years now and this is my very first diary!! I started out here wanting to lose about 25 pounds at 175 pounds but over the years Ive ballooned up to over 200 pounds!! I'm so ashamed and embarrassed of my body and of myself. I hate going out in public so I usually just go to school and come back home. I think I really screwed up my metabolism from all the fad diets I have been doing over the years. From now on, I'm just going to listen to the experts and do it the healthy way..after all, slow and steady wins the race!!
I will record my initial weight tomorrow after I come back from school. I hope its not TOO bad since ive been pigging out for the last 4 days. Wish me luck guys!! |

Just keep believing you can do it no matter what the scales say tomorrow. You're doing it a healthy way this time, you'll soon get on your way! |

Rep Power: 11 | | Thankyou Brawny and Kathy for visiting my journal. I really appreciate it!! I wasn't able to log in yesterday as I was having trouble with my internet but thankfully the technician came and fixed the problem.
So yesterday I weighed in at 202.5:S:S:S:S. I didn't eat the greatest. I basiclly had coffee and some chinese food. Oh and LOTS AND LOTS of chocolate lol (yes thats my weakness). But I did cut off my eating by 8. This morning I weighed in and was at 201.5 pounds! I'm happy about that. I didn't eat very well today either. I started off with a coffee in the morning. I was planning on having cereal when I got bck from school but ended up getting a footlong MEAL from subway. ouchh!! it was alot of food and i scarfed it down within 1 sitting LOL and yes I'm very embarrased about that. And then I finished the day off with a tall green tea frap from starbucks (yumm) and chocolate almonds.
I'm so disappointed in myself. I always start the day out right but I screw it up by the end. Oh well I will do MUCH better tomorrow. If anyone is actually reading, I hope I didn't bore you hehe. Thanks for reading!! Byee |

Maybe you should carry a food log with you and write everything down or you could plan out everything in a log and try to stick to it. I know for me if I have it written down it is easier for me to follow then If I fall I can just look at the log and say that's okay I will just keep going. I think that we all have to mess around and mess up sometimes to figure out what works for us ya know. Good luck on your journey! |

You can do it!
I have been guilty of the same thing hon.
When I started here I was trying to get out of the 170's...
I was on a roll and then the holiday's came and then I began to make excuses after excuses.
I stop/started a bunch of times and now look...
I'm trying to get out of the 190's which is the heaviest I have ever been.
We can do this though!
My motto this year:
Reachin' the Finish Line in 2009!!
I agree w/mom24
Those are gresat ways to help out.

Rep Power: 11 | | Mom24Monsters: Thanks for the suggestions! I think planning my meals in advance would be helpful for me. I could make my meals the night before which would keep me from turning to fast food restaurants!
Stacy: Thanks so much for the encouragement!! I havent gotten to write here in a while but I see you have gotten out of the 190's!!!! Thats so great! I know you will definately acheive your goal. 2009 is our year!
So for the last couple days, the scales have been playing tricks on me. I'll step on it once and it will say I'm 198-199 but I'll step on it again and it will be 4 pounds higher. I have been super stressed because of midterms. I had 3 this week, and because of this my diet has suffered. Also I have so many birthdays and other events happening over the next 2 weekends, so I'm a little worried about all the junkfood. Good news is I do have reading break all of next week which will give me time to relax and focus on eating healthy. Ok i'll report back tomorrow! Gnite everyone |

Rep Power: 5 | | I should take my own advise LOL
If the scale is reading funky it might need new batteries??? But don't stress it to much because it's going to go up and down all the time.
My suggestion for the next couple of weekends cause you KNOW there will be junk around eat a really good filling healthy meal before you go and drink lots of water and take a water bottle with you. I have a friend who bakes her own cakes "the healthy kind" and freezes individual servings and grabs one for parties and that is what she eats at b-day parties and BB-Q's and stuff.
Good luck! We're routine for ya!!!! |

We all are guilty of that from time2time.
I'm a pretty smart gurl so I need to listen to myself more as well.
I'm so glad you made a 'J' Angelica!
It really does help.
You ARE gonna reach many goals this year!

Rep Power: 11 | | | Ok so I weighed myself tonight and the scale said 200. I did it about 3 times and it kept saying the same thing so I guess I'm 200? Hmm thats so hard to believe..although I have been eating less..however I thought it would be more considering I weighed at night when after I drank/ate..Oh well either way I'm happy..
Im definately consciously eating less these days. The food I am having isn't the greatest but I am not having as much. Also, I havent eaten out in 2 days which is HUGE for me since I'm addicted to coffee. I was craving some today but drove right past the shop so I'm very proud of myself. |

Rep Power: 11 | | Also, I really really want to join the gym and get some more exercise in but I've kind of made that a "reward" for when I lose 10 pounds and get to 190. Another reason for that is I dont want to sign up for the gym and end up getting discouraged and not going but still being stuck with paying the monthly fees. Its a good incentive though to lose those pesky 10 pounds!! |

Rep Power: 11 | | Party went well. We went to a restaurant in downtown and I got the ricebowl. I only had half of it and saved the rest for the next day! I have one more bday part next week so hopefully I can stick to plan..maybe i'll just get an appy or something!!
Today went really well eating wise. I did as you said Mom24 and sort of planned out in my head what I was going to eat. I actually stuck to it and didn't eat past 630. I was starting to get really hungry at night but instead of eating junk, I just made myself a cup of green tea...didn't taste very good but atleast it filled me up for a while.
Scale said 200.0 again today but this was after eating breakfast. Hopefully I get rewarded for a good day and it goes down by a pound so I can finally join the 190's club!!! |

Rep Power: 11 | | Ok so I just saw a couple pics posted of me on facebook and OMG is all I have to say!! I was horrified to see my double chin in the pix..I didn't know it was THAT bad!! I guess a picture really does say a 1000 words! I've been trying to avoid cameras for so long that I really didn't have a chance to see an accurate view of my body!! Oh well all thats going to change now!! I'm determined to get as much off as I can by this summer. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
