hmmmmmmm.....

loving greek feta cheese at the moment.........(do other ppl make sex noises over food hahaha...)

its bloody delish & creamy...but don't eat the extra light no point like with most things that say EXTRA l/t or no fat = no bleedin taste...i'd rather eat full fat feta but a little less...anyway being a foodie if it says light...just makes me think fuck it i can eat more (like that episode of the simpsons LOL...oh god i have the same mentality as of homer simpson when it comes to food...that CAN'T be good!!) i do eat light in most things - butter (flora) /milk etc (semi skimmed milk NOT skimmed...ickickick may aswell drink water!!) but NOT extra l/t.

anyhoo...
just chop up lots of veggies...red onion/peppers/carrots/sweet potato/swede/parsnips/leeks/aubergine/courgette/tomatoes...whatever...

(or do it the lazy way like me today...use frozen veggies...well it has butterbut squash in which i love...& who wants to spend time cutting that up??)

drizzle some olive oil over & roast for a bit...then sprinkle over some feta & roast a bit longer...served with some warm wholemeal bread or oatmeal batch bread...its scrumptious!! or irish soda bread would be gorg with it too....

note to self...just food amanda...NOT love/sex....but god dammt it tastes sooooo goodddddddd!!

watched ps i love you (again...) so to go with the irish soda bread i'd have either the gerard butler or jefferey dean morgan characters from the movie to go please..........seriously what girl wouldn't fall for a southern irish accent???????? so soft & lilting...in the movie they're both from the west of ireland...like two sets of my great great grandparents (one pair from galway i think & the other from county mayo for sure) ppl from the north of ireland (i tend to say south instead of republic as i like to think of ireland as a united whole IYKWIM) often have a bit of a harsher accent...reminds me of a strong scouse accent which is not surprising really as don't think there are many of us from liverpool who don't have relatives/ancestors that hailed from ireland...still...any irish accents sexy!!!

then again so's scottish...och aye!!!
& gerard butler is really from scotland not ireland...so basically celts are sexy!!

re accents just like to say...as with most things...i'm open to all!! not one to discriminate

the one thing i can't abide is when someone affects an accent to try to lose their distinctive regional or national inflections (part of what makes us all so unique!!) usually done to try & sound posher (though we all have a 'posh' phone voice LOL) like my eldest sister did when she went to uni...& came back with a totally false southern accent...ANNOYING...

but still something about the irish.......so maybe instead of dirty talk the next man in my life could just whisper sweet anythings in my ear in an irish accent...oooooooooh yeah that'd hit the spot..............

plus it won't hurt..........if he looks like this.....OMMMMMMMMMG!!!!!

http://cm1.theinsider.com/media/0/44...0.420x774.jpeg
oh **** me he is one sexy bastard....ooooooh & very manly too....& my age so its not pervy to perv at him hahaha....

unlike 'little' ryan...

http://images.askmen.com/specials/20...an_gosling.jpg

who though very easy on the eye too...still has that boyish quality to him...while i could imagine giving him a big cuddle & maybe some homemade apple pie & cream...thats about it!!

now gerard on the other hand....ahhhhhhhhhh....i could imagine doing very incredibly naughty things to that man.......

just remembered this post was meant to be boy/sex free....how did i go from accents back to BOYS????

LOL, nice journal, it had me laughing!

I totally agree about feta cheese and the irish accent. It would be nice to have a nice irish boy feeding me little chucks of feta cheese while whispering in my ear. LOL. Oh boy.

Anyway, have a great day! Congrats on all your weight loss so far.

after my mini 'binge' took mutley out though...despite the fact it was 11pm & raining...b/c i'm a trouper...actually no b/c i started thinking about those damn scales!!!

taking the dog out or taking finn to the park/beach are really the only times i don't wear heels...i'm only quite diddy really only 5ft 3 & a bit....which is why i like to wear the big girl shoes....so no one can talk over me (literally LOL) actually who am i kidding?? its usually me doing the talking...but its probably why you only ever really see SJP in heels too...think we're about the same size...anyway.........as usual molly pulled me everywhere....the most untrained dog EVER!!! she also comes to you if you call her anything beginning with 'm'...milly/molly/milly vanilli/mutley...whatever.........not sure if that makes her really smart or really daft...hmmmmmm more likely the latter

when i got back...told my eldest to hide the clusters from me...like chocolates my crack??!! he said mum its just chocolate...how did i give birth to this person?? chocolate is 'just' chocolate...what planet is he off??? i mean seriously..........

Hey I'm Irish. Just not from Ireland, so I don't have the accent.

But I have a fear of being tied up so I'm out!!!

@ running girl...

oooooh nooooo love! we like the irish boys...we don't want to scare them off!!!

i was thinking before that going over to ireland (a boat ride away) with friends will be just like in that movie with gerard!!! oh it'd be great...or grand as they in ireland!! i've been supposed to go on a many a time but something always comes up...i'm definitely drawn towards county mayo & the west of ireland. i've always said if (when!!) i win the lotto i'll buy a lovely old cottage on a cliff in ireland overlooking a windswept pebbly beach (it has be an old one...not just b/c i like the charm & character of old houses...but b/c i'm planning to spend quite a chunk of my winnings on a brownstone overlooking central park too!! hahaha...keep dreaming missy!!!)

i love the way the irish use the english language & make it their own with their own unique phrases etc...like the following...

Grand - Good, of acceptable quality.

In a recent conversation with an Irishman who spent some time stateside he mentioned this word created some communication difficulties.

In the United States, “grand” is used quite literally to mean something impressive in scale, elaborate or significantly superior. Here in Ireland it’s bandied about carelessly the way “fine” would be used in the states. When my friend would say something was “grand” in response to a question like, “Is that all right for you?” his yankee hosts would take it to mean he really loved it or was impressed by it.

This became apparent fairly quick and he explained that “grand” in Ireland didn’t mean anything special, it just meant things were “okay.” Apparently this backfired and his hosts began overusing it in every conversation, “It’d be grand if you could please pass the salt.”

Your man - The person to which I’m referring.

This is a very Irish turn of phrase that can catch people who have never heard it before a bit off-guard. The first time I heard it, someone was talking to me about country music, something I’m not too keen on, and said, “Your man, Garth Brooks, for example . . . “

For a minute I was mildly offended that, just because I was from the states this Irish guy had lumped me in with Garth Brooks, saying that he was obviously “my man,” when I didn’t even like country music. Later that day I heard this phrase again when someone pointed out a total stranger to me and said, “Your man over there,” proceeding to tell me about him.

Obviously, this was a turn of phrase we heard SO often that we quickly understood it to mean “that guy” in the third person. An Irishman can be talking about your worst enemy to you and still refer to him as “your man.”

Gender-wise, it’s equally common to refer to a woman in the third person as “your woman.”

or as someone else describes it..

Yer Man or Woman

Denotes a person whose name is unknown (or cannot currently be recalled) but whose identity is assumed to be known to everyone. Could lead to such hilarious exchanges as
"Didn't I see yer man in town yesterday?"
"That wasn't him, that was the other one ..."

my collection of father-in-laws...included an irish one (who hailed from county mayo too as my grt grt grandparents did) anyway despite the fact that liverpool & ireland are close neighbours so a lot of sayings/vocab etc go back & forth...i could never understand a bleedin word he said!! well except 'to be sure' which he said a lot LOL & 'how are yeah'...

How are you?

Unless the person asking you is a doctor, nurse or paramedic this simply means "Hello!" Do not start any long sentences. Just reply with the same phrase or the common "And yourself?"

& how could i 'be forgetting' ' feck'!!??...oh yeah just like in 'father ted' (which used to make giggle so much!! still does...) he said it all the time!!!

Feck

This universal qualification of anything ("the fecking yoke yer man gave me") is neither positive nor negative, it simply is. This Zen-like quality can disappear quickly, in which case the "e" is usually replaced by a "u". Expect to hear the f-word more often in short, seemingly normal conversation than in a Tarantino movie.

ps changing the subject completely................
i smell sooooo bloody gorgeous today...i could just eat myself right up!!! palmers cocoa butter body lotion makes your skin smell (& taste!!) just like chocolate.........yumyum.......so i'm off out now a few appts today (i set up a little stylist business...makeovers & such...called fashion fairies...bit of a fib really...as theres actually only one fashion fairy in the 'busines'...ME!!! so despite my excess curves still have to look a little glam...so lipstick & heels...essential...as i wave my magic wand & find these girlies their perfect party/wedding outfits) so you never know...as i waft about in all my yummy chocolatieness...a chocoholic irishman might just pick up my scent!!
