I wish that was true because I need all the help I can get. By the way, why can't I ever fucking fall asleep at a normal time? It's after 5AM and I'm still wide awake. I really like to write. Books, stories, poems, lyrics, quotes, etc. Writing makes me feel better. I guess I find therapy in talking to a piece of paper, with a pen as my mouth. Anyway, I can't sleep (as I've already stated), so I figured I would pick up my notebook and start reading some things that I've written. I came across this part of a really long poem that I wrote and, eh, I don't know...I like it. I wrote the poem because the girl I love(d) acted like it was so God damned hard to keep in touch with me after I moved here to Chicago. She would hardly ever call me, even though she knew that the sound of her voice could be the best part of my day. She became extremely selfish and refused to do the things that I would do for her. 4AM phone calls, hysterical crying, pointless bitching, advice, comfort, support...I dealt with it all, but I never got any of it in return. She wouldn't even do something as simple as picking up a phone and calling me...

My Step-Dad just got out of Prison in January for destroying my family.... see, it's all good in the neighborhood, because we are all here making through everyday and you are such an AWESOME guy!

Also, back to softball/baseball... back in the day, on my accelerated traveling team, I played short. On my high school team, from freshman year to junior year, I played left and my senior year I played 1st. Yep, I'm pretty much an all-around player wherever because I'm that slick... JK! I don't pitch or catch, so at least you can catch! It gets nasty back there... And when you are catching 90 mph balls, well, you've got BALLS! So, in the league I'm playing now, all us chicks pretty much can play anywhere and do well, so I think I'll stay at 2nd this season.

I have never hit an actual homerun, I scored a homerun, you know, when you hit it far and they don't have a regulation fence and it just keeps rolling and you just run around the bases like crazy? Yeah, I would say I'm a type of hitter that hits it whether it's in, out, low, high, or even like a rise and just go with it. I was a huge pull hitter when I was younger until I got into high school, and then I was taught properly how to hit. I think I throw pretty hard, you know, when you play catch with someone and you throw it hard and they kinda like fidget and blink, because they weren't expecting it? I play fast pitch, not slow pitch, so it's pretty competitve. Hell yes i've been hit by a pitch, because it's funny you mention it, last fall, we were playing a team and their pitcher was really wild. Her pitches were actually faster when they weren't thrown down the middle. Well, I get up there and because she wasn't consistent, I wasn't getting up there to swing like an idiot, only if it was close. Well, I did end up walking and she probably threw around 70 mph and hit me in my upper left thigh on the outside edge. It swelled up so bad and I still have a bruise to this day and where she hit me, she disenegrated my fat, so I have a huge dent in my left leg. I went to the doctor and said she bruised my bone. I'll have to upload a pic and show you. The crazy part is, I have been playing my whole life and never once, have I ever been hit this hard in my freaking life! Anywho, what about you??? Details? Same questions!

I've been hit by so many pitches that it's unreal. I hold the record for my summer league in Ohio for being hit by the most number of pitches in a season. Our seasons were 21-22 games long (depending on how many teams played) and there was one year where I was hit 19 times. I set the record that year. Then, the following year I was hit 27 times and broke my own record. HAHAHAHA, people always threw at me, GRRRRR!!!

Anyway, I was kind of a homerun hitter. When I was younger, I hit homeruns all the time, but I focused on my average as I got older. In my summer league, I would always bat above .400 and have a ton of RBIs.

As far as my arm, I had a cannon, WOO!!! I topped off at 91 MPH. The best part of my game was my defense though. I was a wall behind the plate and nothing got by me. Plus, with a strong arm, I also had really good accuracy and could throw runners out at will. Ahh, the good old days. Now, I'm just a fat, out of shape loser who can only think about the Glory Days.

Baseball was my life. That bitch ruined it for me. Well, I quit on my own, so I guess it's nobody's fault by mine actually. Eh, maybe someday I'll get back into it, whether it's playing or coaching. I'm 27 and out of shape, so the chances of me making the pros are literally ZERO at this point. Who know though?

Honestly, I do know how you feel to a degree. I so would have wished I played in college but my husband talked me into staying with him and working.... I chose that. I didn't turn out all bad, but I so would have loved to play college ball.. especially at BYU or the UofU, since their teams are great here. I even went to their camps in middle and high school... oh well. DO NOT put the Pros out of your mind, you never know! If that is what you want go for it! If you just want to continue what you are doing and become healthy and play on a league, that's ok too! As long as you are happy, that's all that matters!
