So this should be interesting, I guess I could give this area a go. I was going to wait a lil longer till I had more substance.. Have already been journaling what I eat/day, just need to transfer it to this comp.

What else can ya do at 4 in the morning,

-- How much weight do you want to lose?
15-20 lbs
-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
6 Months

-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?

Running/Mini Stepper/Forum(s) Support/
-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
Forum(s) Support/Parents/Dr.'s
-- How realistic is your goal?
Not Too Unrealistic
-- When will you start?
Last Spring 08

What is your current height and weight?

6', 148 lbs
If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
130-135 lbs
At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
At Least 140, but if I gain muscle and stay at 150 lbs, it would be nice to just see the weight re-distribute itself.
Why do you want to lose weight?
More Energy/Complete This Step To Get To The Next/Gain Some Confidence/Feel Healthier/Look Better/Learn Some New Things/Feel Motivated with Living/Fit Into My Clothes Again/No More Muffin Top!
Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
Late June is the Kids Cancer Motorcycle Run/Mid to late July and into Early August is when dad and I go on our annual boating trip/Plus most of summer we boat/September we're going down to Arizona for a few weeks Rafting and Exploring/Also entered a Challenge on Here and want to complete it
What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?

Anxiety, An Illness I have, Basically just trying to leave my apartment *alone* everyday, still haven't mastered this one..
Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
Because of an illness I've had my whole life, that started to deeply impact my life around 20-21, where I'd started to go down-hill about that time, and lay in bed on anti-depressants/anti-anxiety for about 18 hours a day for 2 1/2 to 3 years, only eating junk foods or starving myself, because I was upset with how much weight I'd put on/for punishment/ and in come the ED's, ect, ect
What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?

Well I've already been working on this one, in my current life, **Just eating**/have cut out alot of junk/although I still indulge in it. Not being so hard on myself.
Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
7-9 lbs, Easy does it, I've lost 7 lbs and kept it off for a year, my new motto: It's not about Trying, It's About DOING. Even though this mind frame may be difficult, I have to keep goin. I have not done anything different in the past to what I am doing now, I just complete one step and go onto the next.

Do you cook at home often?
Yes
If so, what do you cook?
Vegies
How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
2-5 times a week/ Manies (Greek), Quizno's, Chinese Buffet, Primal Grounds (cafe) Health Cafe, Not Known Restaurants they're not fast food, Wendy's, Anywhere and Everywhere
What are your three favorite foods?
Salmon, Artichokes, and OLIVES!!
What are your three favorite restaurants?
Primal Grounds (they have thee best home made soups/salads and sandwiches/ Prairie Smoke/
What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?

1) I've reduced Applying Loads of Salt 2) I've reduced putting sugar on everything 3) Order Water or White Milk when eating out.
If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
Nothing, I'd still have to work on everything else the same way as I do now
Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Yes
Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Yes
Do you hide your food or eat in secret?

Yes
Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
Yes
Do you eat as a reward?
Yes
Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?

Yes
What do you normally eat for a meal?
Well depending on whether or not I have food, one dish at home, 2-3 dishes out ex(1)Vegies 2) Meat 3)some other dish that came with the meal)
What type of snacks do you eat?
Vegies, Fruit, Meals, Anything I can get my hands on
In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
Running/Mini Stepper 30-60mins/I walk everywhere unless with my dad/Dance around
Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?

Outside/Home/ Doesn't cost anything
What, if anything, are your four favorite types of exercise?
1)Dance 2) WakeBoarding 3) Running 4) Working with my Dad
What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
I've been there before I can do it again.
Do you have rewards for certain goals?
Sometimes, I have already told myself that I am splurging this spring/summer even if I do not get rid of these pesky 20 lbs.

A LiL About Moi...

Age:24 Height: 6' Weight: 148 lbs Daily Caloric Intake: 2200

My Weight B4 gaining weight: 134 lbs & needed to tone up*
My Heaviest Weight: 162 lbs

I usually Work from home, or with my Dad. I live alone, have for the past 7 years. No pets. I have limited family. My mom is in a Province over. My dad lives just outside of the city. I am an only child.

The longest I've ever stayed on any forum was about 3-4 months. Now that I've committed myself to the Super Awesome Mega Weight Loss Challenge, I won't be goin anywhere for the next 6 months. ZOMG!! Not another commitment!!

I hope I am able to help myself and others stay on track and not be too negative. I am kind of like a guy in the way there are only ever two things on my mind....FOOD and ah....SUMMER!! yea yea that's right.

I am also doing the month to month picture challenge which I find to be quite helpful. Along with measurements, I must be gainin muscle cause I am dropping inches and not losing weight...hmm I am in a bit of a pickle, but it is bed time for me, tomorrow I may be back to write some more junk on this sub- forum.

Ciao

Hello Bellaryna, Well I only just started running again in the last two months or so...and since I have a hard time getting outside alot, I don't want to make up excuses..

I have in this past week been doing a total of 30 mins on my mini-stepper at home, to me it's basically like running (the foot pedals that I stand on are IDK tightened (I believe it might be more for strength endurance).

I don't know what miles or kilometers I run outside. The mini stepper counts my steps, 4000 in 30 mins, and it gives an approximation of how many calories too, depending on what I've eaten that day, I am guessing protein wise and eating "clean" I can go harder and faster, I've gotten to 380 cals is a HUGE success for me!!!

I know I am a "slower runner" but that WILL change, I approximated 4000 ft as .75 Miles, which is 1.21 Kilometers...I think I did that right...

Plus I have noticed that with the mini stepper, my legs, stomach and abdomen are worked
BUT with running outside, it works my Butt, Legs, Stomach, and abdomen, at about 10x more (cuz in just a tinsie bit of time I had noticed such a dramatic change!!! Oh Yea and it TOTALLY kills ALL MY ANXIETY!!!

I want to start running at 5am, when it starts to get a little lighter here, I was thinking of purchasing wrist-on pepper spray. Just for an extra precaution.

I really like this site for running: Runner's World: Running Shoes, Marathon Training, Racing

AND on a further note:

YAY!!! I think I lost a few more inches on the SAMC Challenge!!! WOO WOO WOO!!!

P.S. This is everyone in the challenge's spreadsheets! Everyone is Doing SUPER AWESOME!!!

Great Job losing inches!!!!
Can't wait until I can see some of those disappear on me..LOL
Sounds to me like you are doing a Super~Fantastic job of keeping yourself busy with the exercise.
4000 steps in mighty impressive! If you would like a good frame of referance for just how far that would get you..........the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois is 2,165 steps up to the top. You my friend have very nearly climbed twice in one workout! AWESOME!!!
I am planning on climbing it for real in November. They have a charity climb that raises money for medical research.
Wish me luck!
To bad you couldn't go with me. You would be super motivation.
